Unlike the weather ,Bracken Howe was a warm cosy time which promised a lot and delivered on it all ! All the family enjoyed their stay and want to return so (they hope)they can enjoy the garden and the stunning views .Lots of wonderful walks from the door even if they were all done in the pouring rain. We hope next time we can all be together to enjoy this wonderful place.

Everything at Bracken Howe was perfect and we really appreciated the extra care shown to deal with Covid-19. (Some of us were in a higher risk category but this was not known to the owners.) It was so reassuring to know the property was empty for a week before we arrived. Some may not see this as important but we really appreciated the one week on one week off policy which means a substantial loss of income for the owners in the name of safety. The property was also spotlessly clean with cleaning materials and sanitizers provided.
Everything we could have wanted (pre-covid) was laid on too including a goody bowl and milk in the fridge.
The weather was wet much of our stay (not that we complained as we love the Lakes all weathers) and the owners kindly offered us a free extra night as the day we were due to leave was fine. Unfortunately we were not able to take up the very generous offer. Other customers may not benefit in the same way, of course, but it does show the mind-set of the owners is to ensure their customers have a good holiday at Bracken Howe.

A lovely, well presented house.
A lovely, well presented house. It’s an easy walk into Keswick and most of the other lake attractions are less than an hour’s drive away. The owner was extremely helpful and we had everything we needed for a wonderful holiday, including the weather!
