The house is very close to the french quarter and we could walk to most places. We did not have any trouble walking from and to the house during the day or night. The house was clean and comfortable for our stay. Having two full bathrooms was great. Would definitely recommend this house to others.

We were enchanted by this beautiful and historical home in an incredible location adjacent to the French Quarter. We were easily able to walk everywhere we wanted to in the French Quarter. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms nice and updated. The decorations and decor were appropriate and elegant. We felt very safe in the home. I would rate this property an A+. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip if the property is available.

I’d stay here again next time I’m in New Orleans. Thank you, Penelope!

This house is perfect for a New Orleans stay. We loved the location which is in the charming Tremé district and an easy walk to the French Quarter and Marigny. The classic shotgun house is beautiful with a nice garden and patio. It was a very comfortable stay for our family

Family members went to New Orleans for a long weekend. We chose this house based on a random search and it turned out to be wonderful for our needs. It’s a short walk from the heart of the French Quarter. The house and neighborhood is quiet. Each of the three bedrooms was well appointed, living room and kitchen had just what we needed. We were so delighted to find out that the gas station nearby has award-winning fried chicken 24 hours per day! Would absolutely stay here again

This house was ideal for a multi-day visit to NOLA. It is walking distance to the French Quarter and in a quiet, safe neighborhood. All of the accommodations were top notch. The owner, Penelope, went out of her way to make sure our stay was relaxed, and problem-free. We even had an enlightening conversation about the colorful politics of the city. I fully intend to stay at one of her properties, the next time I visit New Orleans. All three of my friends who joined me on this trip readily concur.

Very cool house. Enjoyed our stay! Went over to the Garden District a lot for events.

Clean and comfortable. Needs work. Patio construction made it unusable. All inside doors are difficult to close, don't fit well and knows are loose. Overall we still enjoyed our stay!!

The location is the best part of this rental. You can practically walk everywhere! Be sure to walk in pairs no matter what though. The "House" is not a house, it's a unit. It's 1 of 3. It's a shotgun type unit, meaning long not wide at all. There is a unit on your right and one above you. The walls are thin and with construction going on at all hours of the day and the upstairs guest likes to bring home a party at 4am makes it hard to sleep. Plus the house is old just like the town. Which is great for history but for creaky floors and doors not so much. They don't shut unless you man handle it, which then wakes everyone up and let's them know your going to the restroom. The restrooms are built for giants. When standing in front of the sink all I can see is the tips of my spiky hair in the bottom of the mirror. There is a pretty entry table in the very narrow hallway which makes it oh soooo easy to get by with anything in your hands!🙄 Plus, the private patio out back is shared with the other units and covered with the construction guys stuff, and there's a smell of sewage and dead animal. The good things about this "UNIT" are that it does come with fresh clean white towels kitchen accessories and bathroom amenities. Plus, like I said it's walking distance to the French Market, restaurants, and of course Bourbon Street!

We had traveled there on a sister road trip (3 of us). We absolutely loved everything about our cottage. Beautifully decorated, comfy beds, perfectly located to the French quarter, Bourbon street, restaurants and public transportation. Host was quick to respond to inquiries. Highly recommend. We really cant say enough nice things about this fabulous property.

Beautiful interior and location. Had exactly the vibe we were looking for for our trip. Great walking distance from the French Quarter, CB District, the River, and so many places. It was a great home base to get out and about and then come home and rest in comfort. If your going to New Orleans, you should stay here.

If you're looking for a place that is within walking distance to everything, this is a good deal. About a 15 minute walk to most tourist spots around Jackson Square and Bourbon Street. Some wonderful local bars are a very short walk and amazing food is close by as well.
Not recommended for anyone who cannot climb stairs or steps easily, the back steps are very steep and very high.

We had a fabulous time in NOLA. Angelica’s Cottage was perfect for us. The location was very walkable and the neighborhood very pleasant. As a lover of old houses, this was perfect. You can’t go wrong with a stay here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was exceptionally musty upon arrival and through the first night. Door in middle bedroom closet was off the track, and the bathroom sliding shower door was not maintained. However, overall, this was a nice location and accommodation.

Angelica’s Creole Cottage set the tone for an amazing trip. The home is spacious, clean, and well appointed. We had an issue with the thermostat, and the property manager arrived within the hour to fix it. The location is amazing. This was our first time in New Orleans and this home enabled us to have a great vacation . It’s within a few blocks of all the night life of the French Quarter, but it’s location in a quiet neighborhood allowed us to sleep well. Highly recommend! And thank you Penelope for being a wonderful host.

This was the perfect place for us to stay during the first weekend of Mardi Gras! It was walking distance from everything, but set far enough back from a main road that it was quiet and calm when we were "home".

Very nice property. Centrally located with most everything in walking distance or a short Uber ride away.

This well appointed 3BR/2 bath cottage was a perfect place to stay for our 5 nights at Mardi Gras. It's in a quiet neighborhood, with a very nice and relaxing courtyard. Conveniently located in the Treme, it's an easy walk to the Marigny and French Quarter.
Your host raised her family in one of these cottages, and the special care and touches show. We live in south Louisiana, and have found it is much nicer to stay in New Orleans rentals that are run by locals.

We had a wonderful stay at this adorable Treme double shotgun. The property was clean and well maintained. You cannot beat the location. It's a super short walk to the French quarter and Frenchmen Street, but far enough away it's super quiet at night. We had a group of five(2 couples plus one) and it was the perfect size. I would most definitely stay here again!

Booked this house at the last minute after the new owners of the hotel we had booked decided not to honor our reservations. It's a nice house, very clean, comfortable beds, useful kitchen and living room areas. Decent location on a fairly quiet street, especially if you plan to spend most of your time in the French Quarter. What you need to know, though, is that this property is one of three units in the house. There's a unit on the other side and another upstairs, and because it's an older house you can hear EVERYTHING. Every footfall, every time a door opens or closes. During our stay, there was construction going on in the downstairs unit, and we discovered that there are full-time tenants in the upstairs unit. Construction went on until after 10:00 PM the first night we were there, and pretty much every night we heard the upstairs neighbors coming in very late, walking around, yelling at each other, playing music, etc. Our host was very responsive when I messaged her to ask if it could be quieter at night, but I wasn't going to message her at 3:30 AM while the upstairs neighbors were screaming. I was in the front bedroom next to the street and it was particularly noisy up there. Ironically, there are several mentions in the various "house rules" info about quiet hours after 10:00, or maybe after dinner, or maybe after midnight. All I know is that I couldn't sleep until I bought some earplugs at Walgreen's. If you're staying here with other couples, know that you'll have privacy in the sense of being behind a closed door, but everyone in the house will hear everything you do.

A perfect stay for a family vacation in a quiet residential area with quick access to the French Quarter, highway and airport. Full kitchen for meal options and the owner was very helpful and quick to assist with any questions. Gorgeous house. We loved the historic stay.

Penelope’s house was the perfect place for myself and my friends to spend a weekend in New Orleans. The house is located right off the French Quarter in Treme and it’s so close to the tourist-y attractions, up-and-coming restaurants and bars, and the riverfront. Three large bedrooms, two very nice bathrooms, and a terrific living room and kitchen space. We all loved the old world New Orleans charm. Would definitely stay here again.

We had three couples who stayed for a week at the Treme house. Check in process was very easy walking distance to all Bourbon Street places of business. House was well stocked with essentials and owners were attentive but not intrusive during our stay. Highly recommend for anyone wishing to be able to walk to/from destinations in NOLA. Cable car near house was not operation since hurricane IDA went thru. (Rampart line).

So glad to see that this was the quintessential Nola house! Was perfect for our group of first time visitors. Listing was a little unclear on bathroom situations until the week before we left but we are very happy to report that there were 2 FULL baths. Was perfect walking distance from all the touristy must do Nola activities. We'll absolutely look at staying here again in the future

The house is so pretty and welcoming both inside and out. Check in was a breeze with no problems at all. The house was clean and well stocked with nice linens. The beds were super comfy! We loved all the pictures in the house and after visiting the Back Street Museum we could appreciate them even more. We would defineitly stay here again!
