We had a nice relaxing time.

This house was perfect for our friend group. Lots of history associated with the house and very cozy. Would stay here again!

Took our 72 year old neighbor to visit fredricksburg for the first time. She loved the house. We had a great time. The road the house sits on is a little busy. It was even on a weekday that we stayed. I couldn’t imagine a big weekend there. Took some time to back up out of the driveway. But overall good location and cute home. Loved the history details given about the home and some of the furniture.

This place is adorable! Super cozy and clean. Great walk to Main Street. Perfect yard for our dog and lovely fireplace outside made for a wonderful getaway

We had a girls weekend, our ages range from 36-51, we all felt like we were walking into our southern grandmothers home. It was clean, warm, inviting. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were spacious enough. We loved the quiet neighborhood, and proximity to Main Street.
4.7
Good home and walking distance to the Main shopping street. It is on a somewhat noisy street.

Perfect for a couples getaway. This house was perfect for two couples. Having one room/bath in the front of the house and the other room/bath in the back part of the house made it very comfortable for both couples. The patio area and landscaping is so calming and relaxing. The location to Main Street was perfect not too close and not too far. We would highly recommend this property and definitely visit again. Thanks.

The location was great! Easily walkable to Main Street. There was a great outdoor area and the house was super cute and comfortable. We would definitely recommend this property and will likely return!
4.7
Great location for walking to Museums, Parks, Restaurants and Shops. Everything you need for your dog, fenced backyard, bowls and crate are provided. An excellent backyard patio with outdoor fireplace. Kitchen set up nicely with Keurig, large refrigerator, microwave, dishes and pots and pans. Will definitely stay again!

The house is in a great location to Main Street. Very clean and tidy. We loved our stay!

Very clean…great location

The house was super cute. We loved the location and often times just walked to Main St.
4.7
Great location. Very comfortable for 4 adults.
Everything needed for a stay was there. Would recommend and will try to rebook on our next visit to the hill country.
4.7
The house is very comfortable, easy walking distance to town. Nice backyard we enjoyed sitting in. There is quite a bit of street noise during busy times. Had a few steps, a tripper between the dining room & kitchen, one of our group found many times! Other than that it was great.
4.7
Ready walk to town. Nice backyard sitting area.
4.7
Location was convenient although it is not walking distance to shopping/restaurants.
4.7
We loved the beds, kitchen and all the couches and places to sit. I did not like pulling in and seeing overflowing trash in the driveway from the people who stayed before us. There are cobwebs in the window areas and the house needs to be dusted. I also would of preferred an updated shower head and bathtub.
4.7
Great location, very comfortable mattresses, lots of room and seating areas to enjoy coffee in the morning.
Customer service was awesome
We will stay there again

Das Rosen Haus was a great place to stay. Very clean. Very well stocked kitchen with anything you might need. And a great location that is a short walk to main street. We would definitely stay here again.
4.7
The location couldn’t have been more perfect - close to downtown, restaurants, and easy to get anywhere! It was just my husband and I. The back yard was perfect and as pictured. Would definitely stay here again.

Cute place

House was close to town. Shopping and Restaurants are all within walking distance. Backyard was very enjoyable with sitting area & a firepit. We enjoyed smores and wine. Easy to relax after a long day wine tasting and shopping.

Quaint little house near Main Street. Code would not open door. Called and received a code for lockbox after several attempts to unlock door. Was told this had been an issue with previous renters. Wish we had been sent lockbox code beforehand so we didn’t have to stand in the dark waiting to get inside house. Other than starting out like this, had a comfortable stay.
4.7
We loved staying here. Cute little cottage that reminds you of staying with Grandma. Nice separate king size bed and bath so easy to stay with another couple.
4.7
Would have loved having wood for the outdoor fireplace. Wonderful house and a great location.
4.7
The house is very charming and quaint. Perfect for a trip to Fredericksburg. No more than 10 minutes walking to historic Main Street. Access was easy, and the house was very well equipped.

The Das Rosen Haus was SOOO perfect! Especially loved the backyard area with fireplace…even used the corn hole boards (ty!). The house was VERY well appointed; however, not a knock as everything was great, but consider including a small grill out back, or even a stove grate to cook on the fireplace. Regardless, we HIGHLY recommend!!

This property was fine. It's definitely more conducive to adults-only rather than a family with a child under 5. The window curtains were all completely sheer, which made it impossible to block headlights along the busy street the house faces. The constant lights shining through the windows in the front room scared her, so we had to switch rooms.
There is no vent hood, so don't plan on cooking anything on the stove. The showerheads are low, but the clawfoot tubs were adorable and worked well.
I really liked the outside fireplace area, although it was cold and rainy the entire time we were there. It seems perfect for a few glasses of wine in front of the fire. There was also a for-sale sign outside the house, so I'm not sure how long it will be on VRBO.
All things considered, it was a perfectly fine stay near our family's house. It would have been much better if there were more opaque curtains or blinds to draw close. I felt a little too on-display when the lights were on in the front rooms at night on the busy (for Fredericksburg) street. Yet, it did the job and we had a place to sleep at night.

We loved everything about this stay. The home is thoughtfully put together to fully accommodate guests. We crossed paths with the housekeeper who was very friendly and helpful. Management responded promptly to my request to be sure the heater pilot was already lit. This was my first rental with this platform and it was a win.

Great property, lots of space, close to town, lovely outdoor patio…would definitely return!

My husband and I have traveled many times to Fredericksburg and always used reputable services such as Guest Haus Schmidt and Absolute Charm to secure our rooms. My first piece of advice is to stay away from VACASA. We paid $2000 for 3 nights and with that price, we expected delivery, quality, and attention to detail. Right from the start, we could tell this property was poorly managed. When we arrived at the house, the code that was sent to open the door did not work. We had been driving for 4 hours and this made for a very unpleasant welcome. We called VACASA and about 20 minutes later a representative on the phone assisted us from afar. She gave my husband another code and it did not work. All the time my husband was telling her there is a lockbox on the door with a key. She would not give the code to him but had him go to the house next door to look under the mat. Of course, no key. Finally, she gave him the code to the lockbox so we could retrieve the key. When we got inside, the door would not close properly. There was a screw coming out of the door. We then decided to sit down to cool off and watch TV. No surprise..... the cable was not working. My husband spent 30 minutes working to reconnect the cable to the TV.
We are big coffee drinkers and decided to survey the supply of coffee for the KCUP machine. Big surprise..... The only coffee was a small bag with a few teaspoons and it appeared to be old. We went to HEB to retrieve breakfast items ( no snacks or drinks of any kind provided) and coffee for the next morning. When we got up the next morning and pulled out the KCUP machine, there was a note on the top that stated: "filtered water only". Of course, we had not purchased any filtered water. To top it off the place was not clean. There were cobwebs on the walls, dirty shower curtains, dirty bed ruffles, and dirty baseboards. We sat down outside to drink wine one night and one strand of the Edison lights was out. On the last day, my husband went to run the garbage disposal and it was not working. This place was a MAJOR disappointment As far as VACASA, they are " predatorial in their billing practices" and have no regard for the comfort of their clients. We did report the issues and they wanted to come over and rectify them; however, these issues should be managed before arrival and not during a vacation.

I couldn’t have dreamt up a better accommodation for our extended weekend in Fredericksburg.
The home was adorable. It was well appointed and dog friendly. Our four-legged children thoroughly enjoyed the backyard. It was also so nice that the owner had a crate provided. This property is in a quiet neighborhood that is just a short walk to Main Street.
