About this house rental
Piece of Paradise
Rocky River has 36 feet of sliding glass doors all facing this beautiful and private part of the Chattahoochee River. A lovely bridge crosses a stream that continues on into the "Hooch"where you can stand and fish or watch the kayakers and wild life float by.
A wrap around deck is covered on the river side, so you can sit at one of the bistro tables and enjoy this tranquil view while a lovely stream sings in the background.
The house is uniquely designed with 2 main level bedrooms with a full bath and a huge loft bedroom with its own full bath.
The game room has 2 large sliding glass doors that overlook the picnic area and river. It has a bar, high top tables with stools and a kitchenette that made this area practical and fun. Just outside is a charcoal grill and picnic table. A few steps down to the river is a fire pit and several comfortable Adirondack chairs.
The fishing is excellent: bass, brim, catfish, and the occasional trout. If you enjoy kayaking and tubing, this is a perfect location to paddle or float about. Also, Wildwood Outfitters is 5 miles up river, so you can enjoy trekking down the river and exiting right on the property.
There are many amenities: 2 flat screen TVs -two 50 inch, Wi-Fi, land line telephone, game room, poker table and chips if requested, board games, washer/dryer, dishwasher and a ramp for grandmother.
Game room: air hockey, foosball table, checkers, cards, poker chips and layout poker table topper, corn husk toss, board games, television and a kitchenette.
The property is centrally located. Helen, Clarkesville, Cleveland, and Dahlonega are a short drive away. The area is rich with attractions like wineries, hiking trails, water falls, fine dining, fishing, kayaking, tubing, antiquing, flea markets, Cabbage Patch Dolls, gold and gemstone panning, zip lining, horseback riding, train rides, go-carts, etc. There is always something to do.
Perfect place to Shelter in Place. Private riverside home with lots to do. We clean with antivirals from top to bottom and air out each time. Safe, private and fun.
Should a renter wish to exceed the 6 person capacity, there is an additional charge of 25.00 per night per additional person. We have 2 single blow up mattresses with sheets, pillows and blankets upon request. Even with this, there is an 8 person maximum and only with permission from the owner.
Sorry, no pets.
Firewood is provided for your convenience; however, we ask for a reasonable donation based on the amount you use. Firewood is expensive here, too.
(We do not recommend this property for families with infants and toddlers as there is a loft and a daylight basement. Too many stairs for the little ones.)
We get you started with tissue, Kleenex, dish detergent, fabric softener sheets, laundry soap, paper towels, and trash bags. For extended stays, longer than 3 days, you will need to bring more of these things.

We were picking our daughter up from camp and decided to spend the weekend near by at this great house. The only complaint was we didn’t catch any fish. This place was a exactly as advertised and was a great place for us.

A beautiful house in a gorgeous setting, right on the river. It’s very clean and comfortable, with many household items already there. AC works really well. Several nice seating areas outside too. The owners are quick to answer questions and are very helpful. We were happy we chose this house and are looking forward to visiting again in the future. Thanks very much.

The Owners have gone to great lengths to ensure the guests have a great time and have what they need. We were just there for the weekend but enjoyed making smore's in the fire pit and sitting by the river. I would highly recommend this house.

Good location for attending rehearsal dinner and wedding, while exploring north Georgia around family events. Guests should be aware that house is located on a series of windy, unlit roads and might be an issue driving at night.

Wonderful view of the river. Cabin was clean and comfortable.

Peaceful environment. Lacked some items for cooking such as sheet pans. Bugs in the kitchen light fixture. Beds were uncomfortable and the bedding was stained. The heating and cooling of the home was confusing. The best part of the property is the outside and the river.

We enjoyed the property. The queen beds are very uncomfortable. Beyond that the serenity and the surrounding areas was very nice.

An easy 30 minute drive to Helen. Close by grocery shopping, day trip locations, and movie theaters made this a perfect choice for a retreat with friends. The home was well appointed with comfortable beds, Spacious living room, and the kitchen basics.

Any questions or issues we had, we contacted the owners and they were very quick to respond and come fix an issue or answer a question. We loved the view and the backyard was well loved by my family. We even saw two deers in the early morning. I highly recommend this cabin. We loved it!

Visited the weekend before Thanksgiving and had perfect weather. Great location along the banks of the Chattahochee River. Secluded but great location for day trips to the local vineyards or a visit to Alpine Helen. The cottage had all the amenities we wanted plus many additional ones. We watched TV, sat outside and enjoyed the cooler weather, and played games from among the many games the host had available. A fantastic weekend get-away with our adult kids - both of who were celebrating birthdays. We'll be back again!

We rented the house as a family get together and a stopping point for moving our daughter in at UNG. Really happy with how the cabin was equipped for appliances, kitchen items, and furniture. River wading and view were a good bonus. Close enough to town for supplies but felt secluded. I'd rent this again.

This place was great from the ease check in to a great location! We enjoyed catching up one day and we went to Helen the next where we enjoyed watching the tubers float by as we enjoying lunch and vowed we would tube the next time! The porch was one of our favorite places, peaceful with the river view.

We had a lovely time at Rocky River house! Great house, we’ll equipped, close enough to everything but far enough away to feel secluded.

My husband and I met our nephew, niece, and her boyfriend here for a week. We spent a week fishing, laughing, sharing stories, and making memories! It was so special. Mark and Saralyn were such pleasant hosts. Their hospitality and willingness to share tips for fishing made the trip even better. They simply want others to have a great vacation and do whatever they can to make that possible. Their responses to questions and/or minor needs in the house was the best of any place we have rented. Felt totally comfortable contacting them and are discussing plans to return one day. Thank you, Mark and Saralyn. We appreciate you both. The location was perfect, the house had everything we needed, and the property was beautiful. Would recommend this home to everyone.

This place was perfect for what we needed. We took my Mom to the mountains for the first time, it was a bucket list item for her. She caught fish from the dock and was so amazed by the outdoor space. The hosts were super easy to communicate with. We will definitely come back!

Owners were great to rent from. House was wonderful. We had our family of 5 two nights and Nana one night with us. House had very hot water, which we loved and plenty of towels and such for us (kitchen and bathroom). Kitchen had everything we needed (even a pizza cutter). Both types of coffee makers makes it easy for what folks like.
Tv and wifi worked well. No troubles at all. Great experience.

Everything was perfect. The view was even better than expected. It was quiet and relaxing. I would recommend this to anyone in the area. We loved visiting Cornelia, Helen, and Saute Nacooche. We could have just enjoyed the house, river and the many books, games, and the porch, but decided to venture out each day! Thank you for sharing your home with us for our family vacation!
