This house was everything listed but from the pictures, you don't get the wow factor until you walk thru the door! The wall of windows overlooking the bay was breathtaking. Even though the house is older, it was clean and nicely furnished. The Jacuzzi was just the cherry on top. The weather was perfect, we are from Arizona, it was in the mid 60s and we got the morning fog but the sun burned thru and it was amazing. We spent every morning and night in the jacuzzi watching the birds, seals and boaters in the bay. The house was so close to the beach access and our dog enjoyed his first run on the sand.
We will definitely be back.

Good house with great views of the Waldport bridge and Alsea Bay. Only 1 shower in the house but the hot tub is great.

The view is amazing from inside as well as from the hot tub. Very close to miles of sandy beach for walks. We watched 15+sea lions swim by from the house.

We loved the house and the view of Alsea Bay, but reporting maintenance issues and expecting a timely and appropriate response did not happen. So sorry for the owners as this is a lovely house, but it is not being maintained.

We had a great time in the home however there were a few things that need to be fixed. There was a broken pole in the master closet for supporting the area to hang the clothes. The dryer did not dry the clothes we ran it about 12 times and they were still wet. The dishwasher doesn't work and the plug for the bath tub is broken. We were disappointed the jets in the tub didn't work. The hot tub was delightful thank you. The curb appeal is not very welcoming. We got confused with the different color trash cans out front and got trash and recycling mixed up. The house was clean on first inspection however there was so much animal hair on the furniture and underneath the couches my little one had an asthma attack. The tv didn't have any main channels or any type of streaming devices it was unpleasant. There are so many ants is crazy. The house was so cold and no way to heat it. Great views and a nice back yard.

The kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of towels for both showers and hot tub use. Plenty of room for our family of 4. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Great view of the Alsea Bay and bridge. Quiet neighborhood. Hot tub worked as it should. It was clean, hot and good jets. The jets on the jetted bathtub were not working but definitely not a deal breaker. Noticed a few ants in the master bathroom. Again not a deal breaker. The slider going from the dining area to the deck required some muscle to open and close. Only a few heaters in the house actually worked but it really wasn't that cold. Ice maker only made one round of ice but we just bought a bag from down the road. Our rental was ready way before check in and they even offered late check out for a nominal fee. We really liked not having to rush out by 10am. The only other thing to mention is there were no games provided as in other places that we have stayed. We donated one of the games that we brought.

If you’re going to the coast to soak in the views, this is the house you want. The home is all about its water, bridge, and bay views. Sea birds and harbor seals can be spotted throughout the day. And the sunrise over Alsea bay is spectacular. The home itself is spacious with and easy open floor plan, and just a stroll to miles of open beach. If you are looking for a modern home with crisp clean hotel feel, this is not the home for you. Appliances, furnishings and linens are dated and need to be replaced. But if it’s view and location you want, this home is heavenly

Loved the view out over the back deck. Really enjoyed the hot tub also.

This home is very nice! Good layout and nice furniture. The beds were comfortable and the sheets are nice cotton! Dogs are allowed, the back yard is fenced in with gravel so the dogs don’t track dirt or sand in. The fire place was really nice! We stayed in February and that made it very cozy. Nice driveway for easy unloading. The provided shampoo, conditioner and soap are Dove. Which is a nice bonus that it’s not just a cheap brand that dries you out if you forgot something. Also, the towels were nice, soft and plenty of them! I also like that they provided a new dish sponge, in the wrapper. This place would be really great in the summer.

Location of the house is great, love watching the boats and birds

This house was a delight. The hot tub overlooking the bay was absolutely incredible. The couches and beds were super comfortable.
The towels were a bit rough and threadbare but not intolerable. Only reason I didn't give it 5 full stars was bc the technology was insanely outdated. A little old 32 in TV w basic cable and VHS and 2g internet. It would've been nice to come home and watch a movie on Netflix at the end of the night.

We love to vacation here and usually do at least once a year. This is the only time the house was not stocked with to, kitchen trash bags, dishwasher soap or laundry soap. Is this the norm now so we can plan ahead for next year? Also, back door is extremely hard to open. The folks could not operate it without help. Ceiling fan in kitchen was really dirty. We cleaned the back splash behind stove while we were there. Thank you for sharing your home.

The home itself is great. The view was perfect. The hot tub was clean and well placed.

I loved the view, especially with a hot tub! A blocks walk to the ocean was perfect. No propane for barbecue all smoke alarms had batteries that kept beeping and the dishwasher didn’t work but we had a lovely time nevertheless
8.0
The house is roomy and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, comfy furniture and large kitchen. My only complaint at all was that the dog poop in the yard hadn’t been picked up and there was no scoop or shovel available. A bucket and scoop would be great, and please have it clean when visitors arrive. Everything else was perfect!

The great veiw is this property's only redeeming quality. We enjoyed watching the boats & tide come in and out of the bay. It has nice couches, decent beds and enough basic kitchen items to get through you stay.
From the street the house looks abandoned with overgrown weeds and trees impeding. The entrance. There were dead birds & dog poop in the yard.
The metal pans were all rusty, the glasses & utensils are well past worn & some of the cupboards were dirty & sticky.
The toilet brush stunk so bad I had to move it to a room we were not using and close the door.
Unfortunately, for me, the great veiw is not enough to overcome the "gross" factor going on at this house. It would just take a good deep clean (inside & out), and proper maintenance to bring this house up to standard.

The view was great, as was the hot tub. Beds comfy. Dishwasher not working and no central heat just two bedrooms and a closet had heat. Bought firewood for wood stove and ceramic space heaters for the rest of the house. Ants all over the kitchen and appeared to enter through the skylight.

Location is perfect. Couldn’t ask for a better view of Alsea Bay. We loved watching the boats and even did some crabbing off the rocks in front of the house. House needs needs some work. The porch light and master bedroom light didn’t work. The refrigerator light flashed every time you opened refrigerator. There was dog poop piles everywhere in back yard in the gravel. The cleanliness and maintenance is very poor.
Extra items ( garbage bags, toilet patter etc is vey skimpy. They didn’t leave us any extra garbage bags so I had to call Vacasa to get some. That was a hassle just trying to get garbage bags after day 2 of checking in. My family was not impressed with Vacasa.

Very clean, comfortable home, although upgraded mattresses would be a wonderful change. All in all a A+!

We really enjoyed staying at Harbor House. It's in a good location with a wonderful view of the bay. The house was well equiped, except the coffee pot was missing. We recieved one the following day, but it wasn't there for morning coffee. The hot tub was great.
4.0
If I was just reviewing on the view alone, I'd give this property 5+ stars.
I stayed at this house with my parents and grandmother for four nights. This home is all one level and has very few steps in and out which is why we booked it. We loved watching the tide and fishermen come and go from the deck and the giant, beautiful windows. We flew kites in the back yard. Enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck and relaxed in the evenings in the hot tub which was very clean. One garage bay is open for us which made it great to easily store our kayaks and outdoor gear.
The house itself needs some love though and for these many reasons I am giving it 2 stars. We are not a high-class family, but there were several things with this house that made us cringe. The front yard is overgrown. The backyard's fencing needs repair in many places. The furniture on the patio is well worn and unsturdy. The shower had mold around the edges at the top and at the bottom of the shower curtain. One of the supports for the primary bed was mis-installed so we had to fix that before it could be slept in comfortably. The kitchen supplies were very limited and the dishwasher moved inside/came out of it its counter space. The whole TV/AV set-up space was a mess and there were no instructions on how to operate any of it. There was no step to get into the hot tub. The coffee table top in the living room was a piece of scratched and dirty plexiglass. It was difficult to lock and unlock the front door. For the price point, we expected things to be nicer, in better shape.

This is an incredible location, on the beautiful Alsea Bay and just a few steps from the beach as well. The deck and hot tub were really nice! And it was a good amount of space for two adults, a kid and a pet. However, the place needs a little TLC. The appliances all date back to the Clinton administration, and the kitchen is not super well-equipped. There are only a few bowls and plates; the cutting board was warped and mysteriously stained, etc -- but on the bright side, there were like a dozen different "As Seen On TV" cooking gadgets from the '80s and '90s in various states of disrepair stuffed into all the cabinets. (There were also no children's channels on the cable, no Smart TV login availability, and no toys, beach or otherwise, so if you're coming with kids, bring everything they might need -- and a few extra bowls while you're at it, I guess.) One of the doormats was mildewed and gave the whole house a bit of a mildew whiff, and the mattress in the master bedroom was so saggy as to be concave, so unfortunately I woke up every morning with a backache. We also left behind an item -- my daughter's iPad -- and were told it would be mailed to us for a fee, but instead, it was "not found," even though it was in an obvious spot and I reported it immediately -- or as immediately as I could after being on hold for two hours. I don't think I would stay here again -- it was clear this house was set up as a cynical afterthought, following the letter of the guidelines for what's technically required to equip a vacation rental, but with little actual consideration to the idea that real live human beings would stay there and what they might need to be comfortable.

The location right on the bay, in a quiet neighborhood, was absolutely fantastic! The house was comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay. However, there were a few annoying issues that could easily be fixed and that would have brought this review up to five stars.
First, the lock on the front door is very finicky and needs to be replaced. We were unable to open the door using the key in the main lock box. We had to call Vacasa's customer service line to get access to a second key in a backup lock box. This key worked after jiggling and fiddling with the door for a minute, and Vacasa sent a maintenance person to spray WD-40 in the lock. Even so, each time we left the house we were worried we would not be able to get back in and we struggled with the lock for a bit before getting it to work.
Second, the sliding door from the living room to the back patio does not slide easily and the handles are barely attached. I was able to use this door by applying a bit of force to the back of the door rather than using the handles, but my older mother could not open and close it.
I realized on the third day that the garbage disposal makes noise but does not actually work. I had to manually reach in, remove three days of food scraps, and throw them away.
Finally, I would recommend that the owners upgrade to a smart TV so that people can log in to their streaming service accounts. We were able to play DVDs using the TV/DVD combo, but we were not able to easily connect to the cable TV, VCR, or external DVD player. There were no instructions, after spending some time attempting to adjust the various settings we simply gave up.
If these relatively minor issues were fixed, the house would truly be spectacular.

The view of Alsea Bay and Waldport Bridge was beautiful. The living space was roomy and comfortable.

Great place for a relaxing stay with a great view whether you’re inside the house or outside. The beach was a short walk up the road, but even staying back and enjoy the back porch was nice. Having the hot tub, bbq, and plenty of seats to sit on and eat out there definitely didn’t have us leaving the house much. Rooms and beds were comfortable and clean. Kitchen had anything we needed for cooking and serving (the knifes we’re a bit dull though). Going into town was a nice short drive from the house. Would love to stay again on our next trip out there.

The property location is amazing. Spent many hours watching fishermen and Seals pulling crab out of the bay. The views are spectacular

We loved our stay here. The neighborhood is quiet, the view is incredible, and the beds were comfortable. We got a kick out of seeing otters in the bay outside our window! We stayed with our family of 5 (3 under 6) and it was a great family space.
The ocean-side beach access is a short walk down the road (although the climb over the hill took a bit of shuttling with all of our kiddo gear in the wagon, a toddler, etc.) It's a good workout - but once you get there, it's not crowded at all and felt very private. Grocery store is a 7-minute drive in Waldport, with a smaller mini mart much closer. Highly recommend the Harbor House!

The wall of windows facing the bay is the very best part of this property. Although our family did have a nice time, the home is in need of TLC and repairs. The door handle on the slider in the living room was broken and if it hadn't been for the stick between the door and door frame, we would have had a safety issue. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of all of the doors/door handles, especially considering all should have been sanitized (blood stains on master bedroom door). Management did respond to my concerns in a reasonable amount of time and I did appreciate that. I've stayed in several VRBO homes and a 10 a.m. check out is the earliest.

Incredible view!
This home has a view to die for! The home is a little dated and the master only has a garden tub (the jets don't work), so everyone has to use the shower in the other bathroom. But you can't complain because this home really delivers an experience that few can match. It rained a lot almost everyday we were there but it didn't matter because we could stay inside and enjoy the amazing view. We say incredible rainbows all the time, Blue Herons and many different kind of ducks. Occasionally a harbor seal would pop their head out of the water on their way to the sand bar where they lay all day. The sand bar is about half a mile away so you can barely see them there. The beach is a very short walk away and the entire community is very quiet and peaceful.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
The view of the bay and bay bridge is nice and the home is spacious and the queen bed was comfortable. Now for the bad stuff. The king bed has a sinkhole for being new. All three Garbage company containers were full of trash when we arrived. Hard to find items in the kitchen (especially bowls) Coffee cups were chipped or broken and the dishwasher sounds like it's on it last leg also the Patio door handle was broken and we couldn't open the door so we had to use the bedroom patio door. Seems like this house wasn't ready to be rented and I'm disappointed the conditions were subpar for the money I spent.
