Imagine. Enjoying your morning coffee while savoring the breathtaking view of the majestic Gros Morne/Long Range Mountains.

Woody Point is a beautiful and historic town nestled in the heart of Gros Morne National Park, on the western coast of Newfoundland. It has a beautiful waterfront with many heritage buildings and in 2010 was designated a Registered Heritage District. There are numerous excellent hiking trails in the area, some within walking distance.

Our chalet is a mere five-minute walk from local restaurants, coffee shops and the water taxi. It is a spacious, clean and comfortable two-story log-style chalet with a full wrap-around deck. The unencumbered view of Gros Morne Mountain and Bonne Bay is simply breathtaking! The sunroom, on the second floor is a great place to curl up, watch the sun rise or to sit back and enjoy the view at any time of the day. There is a wide variety of books on hand so feel free to pick one and do some reading.

This same spectacular view can be enjoyed from the wrap-around deck or while cooking on the stainless-steel BBQ.

Both washrooms have recently been renovated! The main floor washroom has a walk-in shower and the second-floor bath has a tub/shower combo!

The kitchen was also recently renovated and is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, dishes, pots & pans, coffee maker and coffee grinder. The comfortable eating area is located next to the kitchen.

With four cozy bedrooms that will comfortably sleep eight, it is perfect for a couples/family retreat or a romantic getaway. Three bedrooms have queen beds, the fourth bedroom (located on the main floor) has 2 single beds.

The living room has a cozy leather couch, love seat & chair. It also has an electric fireplace.

Laundry facilities was recently moved to the main floor.

Large comfortable cabin, and very well stocked in general. Several spots to relax and enjoy the view, especially for sunrises. Hosts were very quick to respond and answered all questions. Would definitely recommend the spot, fantastic stay!

About the best place in Woody Point to look out over the water and Gros Morne, rain or shine, from a beautiful covered deck. Set us up perfectly, after a misty rainy day, to see the most vivid double rainbow of our lives when the sun came out in the late afternoon. Comfortable, rustic and with lots of spots for kids to sleep. We loved it!

My husband and I had one of our best vacations ever here. The house has the most beautiful view of the bay. Plenty of room for a large family. The location of the house is also perfect for all the day trips and hikes you can enjoy. Woody Point has restaurants and shops and we enjoyed eating meals over looking the bay. If you want a great vacation off the grid this is the place to go!

The chalet had all the hallmarks of a 5 star accommodation: situated in a quaint community, stellar views both on a large deck and then second glassed in 2nd level room. The interior had all the comforts of home, extremely clean and tidy. The kids loved the games and toys supplied. This property provides the perfect spot for a cozy, relaxing vacation or the perfect launch pad to explore Gross Morne National Park.

What an absolutely fabulous time we had at Shawn and Sharon's home! The home was impeccably maintained and was extremely clean. I think it was probably one of the best stocked home we've ever stayed in. The kitchen was well equipped and there were also plenty of books and games. The views from the deck and the sun room were spectacular! It was an easy walk into the town of Woody Point. I would highly recommend this home! Wonderful experience. I was worried the views of the bay were doctored on the website but they didn't do it justice. The house is kind of a funky and fun design. It's immaculately maintained with lots of spots to lounge around or take in the beauty of the scenery. Its a 10 minute drive to the Tablelands park , a 5-10 minute walk from the quaint Woody Point downtown area . The hosts clearly put their heart and soul into this place. The place lots of unexpected surprises from the binoculars in the observation room to a well stocked library to a jar of whole beans and a grinder for making fresh coffee to bubble blowing toys gor kids. Hosts were great with communication also with lots of helpful emails. The few emails I sent were answered within hours and usually faster than that.

This house really made it difficult to leave and go see the beauty of Gros Morne National Park because of the stunning view offered. My wife didn't want to go! When we did leave, the visitor center and Table Lands area was very close. Western Brook Pond was about an hour away, but we were all glad to make the trip back to Woody Point and return to this cabin. There were some nice restaurants along the waterfront nearby that made this ideal for us. We saw a small pod of Minke whales from the house one evening to add to the great views. The cabin itself is very large and we wished we had our family here to share it with. I can't recommend this place enough!

We had a lovely stay in Woody Point. The cottage was well laid out, cozy with lots of amenities. We particular appreciated the extra touches such as a well stocked kitchen that included coffee beans and a grinder, printed information with the history of the area, local restaurants, nearby hikes etc... I have 2 recommendations. 1. Add a few hooks in the main floor bedroom. Since there is no closet space or room for a dresser, guests would have a place to hang up clothes. 2. Change the heading in the VRBO listing. The listing is now showing as being in Rocky Harbour. While the hosts told me in December that their cottage was in Woody Point not Rocky Harbour, since the listing was for Rocky Harbour, I assumed that Woody Point was a suburb and within "commuting" distance. Having driven the distance between Rocky Harbour and Woody Point several times during our visit (once after dark), I now know that is not the case.

This was a wonderful spot to use to visit Trout River, Woody Point and the Tablelands. We liked the twin room on the first floor by the bathroom for those not good with stairs. Although there are still stairs to get into the house. Loved the clothesline on the porch and laundry facilities. Was there during a hot and rainy spell and had a challenge to figure out how to use the upper level ceiling fan. The switch is in the kitchen. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely rustic house with all the amenities, everything exactly as in the listing. The view here is breathtaking, I would highly recommend it for groups or families. We especially enjoyed our time in Woody Point while hiking at Grose Morne.

This place was amazing! The sunroom on the top floor is stunning and the place was very spacious. Despite the many hikes we did, we still felt that we got the best views of Gros Morne from the back porch and the sunroom. Sharon & Shawn were very responsive and friendly hosts, that went above & beyond to helps with any questions we had about the area & the cottage. Would 100% recommend.

Great house in authentic small town The few restaurants and shops in town were great and the people very friendly. On the other side of the bay from many Gros Morne outfitters, but easily reached by a 60-minute car drive or 20-minute ferry (the latter requiring coordination with the limited ferry schedule We set out on this vacation for nature, hiking and an authentic seaside Newfoundland experience and got a 10/10 result! Accommodations were great. Would recommend!

There are not enough good words to say about this property. We have stayed at a number of vacation properties, but most of us like this one, the best of all. The house was spotless, spacious, with a gorgeous deck and windows that allowed for good viewing of the absolutely beautiful bay. We all would love to come back and stay at this place again. The owners were wonderful, the furniture was comfortable, and we had to leave far too soon.

Wonderful time spent here with our adult kids, spouses and grandkids. Lots of space, great provisions and a terrific experience in rural Newfoundland. The scenery couldn't be any better! We saw whales our very first afternoon while sitting on the deck/porch! We also spent many evenings on this same deck watching the sun go down and the stars and having a great time!

Our family loved staying here! The views of the bay from the back deck and second-floor sunroom were breathtaking... might be the best view we've ever had in a vacation rental home. We even saw some whales and porpoises. There was plenty of space and the kitchen and bathrooms were nicely equipped. It was a great location for exploring the south side of Gros Morne and Woody Point is a sweet little town. We would be happy to stay here again if we're in the area!

We stayed at Woody Point on a recommendation from a work colleague and it did not disappoint. As the main reason for the holiday was hiking and relaxing, this was the perfect place. A much more quaint spot than Rocky Harbour or Trout River, which we did drive through. Beautiful drive around Bonne Bay to get to a few of our hiking trails or there is a water taxi if you want to see Norris Point. Everything we needed was in this property. Very comfortable home and the pictures did not do the house justice. Even through only the two of us, there are ample amount of dishes, cutlery, etc., for a full house of guests. Thanks for a great week!

L’endroit était magnifique, la vue spectaculaire! La maison est impeccable et très bien équipée ! Nous avons eu par contre énormément de difficulté avec le voisinage! Party chaque soir, bruits de voitures et de moteur jusqu’à 2 3h du matin! Meme chicane de couple! Shawn nous a dit Que c’était exceptionnel mais après discussion avec un couple qui habite pas loin il semblerait que ce soit toujours ainsi depuis environ 1 an :( un Peu dommage quand on cherche de la tranquillité sans le parc gros morne! Ce n’était par contre pas du tout de leur faute

We enjoyed the cottage. It had amazing views from the deck. Was nice to have a washer/dryer to do some laundry. Kitchen was fully equipped for any cooking. Perfect location for our day trips.
