The other reviews are very accurate as are the photos. I’m glad we stayed here. This is a nice apartment in a great downtown location. It was clean and spacious and the hosts were very accommodating. I would recommend to friends and stay here again. The only potential downsides could be the noisy ac unit and occasional late night street noise if people are outside one of the nearby restaurants

My wife and I stayed here at the end of June for five nights for our anniversary. We really enjoyed our entire stay, and would definitely stay here again in the future. We loved being able to walk almost anywhere we wanted to go in the historic area of Charleston and felt like we were in a central location with easy access to everything Charleston has to offer. The room was clean and everything was in great shape as well.

This property is just as advertised. Clean, great location. Would definitely stay again. All the necessary amenities. One caveat...those who would have trouble carrying luggage up stairs should be aware of that requirement.
Look forward to our next trip.

The unit is beautiful, very clean, well kept and in a great location. Owners communicated well & we even met 1 of them. I would highly recommend staying here!

Loved the location and easy access to all things downtown Charleston. Rainbow Row was right around the corner. The loft was spotless, well stocked with towels and wash clothes, and the bed was very comfortable. Loved being right on the street. We never heard street noise when trying to sleep.
I would suggest packing a couple of small bags versus one large as it was a challenge getting my big heavy bag up the stairs. It’s also good to put a sound machine by the entrance to the room. We had people with a child come in the joining foyer after quiet time yelling that woke us.
We would stay here again and just pack differently!

This property is in the perfect location. Everything is within walking distance.
The apartment was comfortable and clean.
The AC unit is loud and I had to adjust the TV volume whenever it came on.
I would definitely stay there again.

Host was very helpful in letting us check in early and offering extra towels. In a great location in the city. Had a great 4-day stay.

Just like everyone else has said, the location can't be beat. The host was also extremely flexible and quick to respond. We'd stay here again in a heart beat.

The space was impeccably clean, bright and had the most amazing windows and ceiling height. It is located in the heart of everything, from restaurants, art galleries and historic sights. We parked our car in a parking garage two blocks away and could walk everywhere. Jan was a delight to communicate. We loved our stay!!!

The location of this place could not be better. It's just a couple of blocks from King Street, the battery, market street, and practically across the street from the lower end of waterfront park at the wharf. You will not find a comparable location for a better price. Finding this listing allowed my wife and I to actually stay on the peninsula instead of 30 minutes away and commuting. The hosts were very helpful and quick to respond. We will be returning.

Lovely property, great hosts.
Walk to just about everything..unfortunately very early in the morning 5-6 am the outside truck noises were deafening.

Rented this property and the 2 bedroom property at this location. Highly recommend. Clean, safe, comfortable, perfect location.

Our stay was wonderful. The location can’t be beat! Host was great. Description was accurate. A little tricky getting luggage up the stairs. My only real complaint and it’s minor; the pillows were hard. All of them.

We had a great stay! Best location for walking, restaurants and shopping. The owner, Jan was very friendly and accommodating. The room was spotless! There are steps up to the property and you can hear some sounds from Broad St at night and in the am but it’s minimal b/c there is a sound ordinance from 10pm-7am. I highly recommend this property and we would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic location that is walkable to everything. Entire studio was comfortable and clean. Remember this is a historical place in downtown, so if you are sensitive to light or sound at nighttime, that might be an issue until curfew/quiet hours. Overall, I would totally recommend for the full Charleston experience.

So perfect for you and your partner! The best location, bigger than pics, comfy bed! No complaints at all. Book it esp if it’s your first time to Charleston

This was our first visit to Charleston. We were looking to explore the city and eat good food. We loved the location of this place and it had all of the amenities we needed. Was well stocked, clean, and the host was very attentive. Would stay there again.

The most perfectly located apartment in beautiful Charleston. Located in a beautifully restored historic building, the space is perfect, full of natural light and character. The apartment is located above a Monday - Friday coffee shop and literally in the middle of everything there is to see, so, eat and drink. We never once used transportation. The owner was gracious and kind and communicated with us well. We will stay here every opportunity we get.

Parked the car in the lot and hiked to everything we needed to see! It poured rained while we were there and because we were so close to everything we were able to tuck in and change into dry clothes. Do not miss the Slave Market museum and if you are lucky Christine will be on and she will truly open your eyes.
Poogan’s porch was a favourite. Mudhouse coffee if you like to support a local roaster for your coffee needs! Lovely spot, thanks for
Sharing it!

My wife and I stayed here for several nights while visiting Charleston for our first time. Staying in this unit felt like we were staying in part of Charleston's history - tall ceilings, old brickwork, and crown molding but with all the modern comforts and conveniences. Unit was tastefully decorated and stocked with everything we could have wanted and more.
Being on Broad St was a great central location for walking all over downtown from the Battery to the Market to King Street shopping. Unit is located on the second floor with stairway access to Broad. Jake's coffee shop and market next door and Blind Tiger pub diagonally across the street.
The Jacobsons were excellent hosts - offered advice ahead of time on things to see, communicated well for an easy check in, and reached out during our stay.
We have no hesitations to stay here again!

The space was just as advertised and the perfect amount of space for my husband and I on our stay. The two downsides we found were the shower was quite small and dark (no light above you) and the external stairs when it was rainy. Both things had been brought up on other reviews and weren’t surprises. We would definitely book the space again and felt it was the perfect location. You can hear sounds from the other tenants around you and the street noise, but we always expect that when staying in a historic space and downtown area! Overall, the space was as advertised and didn’t feel cramped. The layout they have figured out for the “L” shaped space worked very well.

Walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do including Parade of Boats. I was part of a group that rented the larger two bedroom unit next door so had access to comfortable seating and full kitchen which was ideal. Appreciated the detailed instructions from Jan especially unloading the car when we first arrived. Very pleasant experience.

Located in the heart of downtown Charleston, this historic location was a perfect place for one or two people looking for an unconventional place to stay. It had what we needed for a long weekend: comfy bed, mini-fridge, bath/shower, sitting room and dinette table w/view of Broad Street. We loved it, highly recommend to single or couple who do not mind street sounds. Quiet by midnight, though. Parking required some creativity, but that’s expected in a downtown location.
8.0
The room was spacious and clean. The only issue is that it is very bright at night. The drapes do not cover the windows and there is a very bright light outside the window. There is also a lot of street noise. The location is great and the owners were very nice and helpful.

The title says it all. Great little place for heading out to explore the best of Charleston.

Loved our stay and location. It was so much fun staying directly downtown so we could just get out & walk to wherever we pleased. Our room had a Coffee Pot with supplied Coffee which was a very nice, unexpected plus. Our room was very clean..Just Perfect!

The room was beautiful! It was a little tricky climbing the rod iron stairs with luggage. We had a great time in Charleston. Jan was very accommodating when making our reservation. I hope to visit again in a few years!

A fantastic getaway for two. Truly in the heart of Historic Charleston. The property owners were great. We could not have asked for better accommodations.
10.0
It’s a great simple place for two people to stay for the weekend/long weekend. Had everything we needed and the location, right in the heart of Charleston was perfect. The owners are close by and can address any issue that may come up. Couldn’t recommend more.

Property is a great location to walk to Rainbow row and other historic sites and tons of restaurants and even a small deli/ market on 1st floor. We loved the architecture of the building and large windows. The hosts were prompt with replies and questions. Would definitely stay again.

Everything as advertised

Excellent location! Within walking distance to many attractions. Owners were EXTREMELY friendly. Place looked exactly as the listing online. Only downside is the garbage trucks that run at 6 AM everyday. We would definitely stay in this place again!!

Jan was very hospitable. The staff at Jake’s was friendly & welcoming. Wear comfortable shoes and walk everywhere

What a cute place! And it was within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do. The listing was very accurate. Make sure you are okay with some city sounds at night and stairs to go up to the unit. It’s all part of the unique city experience. It was a great stay over all.

First visit. Everything was as expected & more. Beautiful accommodations and perfect location. From beginning of booking until check-out, all went smoothly!

Absolutely loved our stay at this apartment. Very comfy and cozy. Located in a beautiful area with easy access to all one would expect to see in Charleston. Having Jake’s market below the apartment was a nice perk. Hope to return to Charleston again someday and if so, would gladly stay at this location again!

This is an ideal location to enjoy historic, downtown Charleston. It is close to many wonderful restaurants, to the harbor, and to downtown activities. It is also a very comfortable place to stay. Loved our time in Charleston.

This apartment is situated in the very heart of historic Charleston. We spent an enjoyable week exploring on foot. The property was clean and well laid out for a couple. Jan, our host, provided all the necessary information we required to make the most of our stay. Jakes deli, which is situated directly below the apartment, was our go to stop for breakfast and occasional takeaway lunch. Highly recommended.
