Our stay at the Bear Cub Cabin was wonderful! Inside and out it was immaculate! Beautiful open concept living area, and spacious comfortable bedrooms. Very quiet neighborhood. Having access to the Lake Tahoe Park Association was great, it was so pretty, and our Grandsons loved all the amenities it had to offer. Excellent communication with the Hosts, from beginning to end. So happy with our experience!

The house was great for our family. We went in mid July, and the house was hot during the day. It cooled down in the evening and sleeping was fine.

Location is ideal, 5 minute drive to beach and WestShore Market, 2 minute walk to hiking trails. Beautiful views when driving down to the beach.
Beds were super comfortable although when we originally booked one room showed a twin over full bunk bed, when we arrived the bed was switched to two twins.
The cabin was clean and we loved how orderly and well marked everything was. The outside furniture in the front and on the deck definitely need to be wiped down.
Communication was superb with both the owner and manager of the rental when we had difficulty with an appliance.
We didn’t think it was too dark as other reviews mentioned. The house kept very cool surprisingly during our very hot week with only the windows open and some of the shades down. We didn’t even need to use the fans provided.
Nice having the hot tub on the deck and two separate showers with good water pressure.
Also nice to have some basics provided: soap, shampoo & conditioner, TP, paper towels, coffee pods, beach towels and beach chairs.
Overall a very lovely stay for our family.

The cabin was perfect for my family. We enjoyed our stay and found everything in working order and clean.

Excellent stay! Plan to return again.

My young sons and I raced up ahead of a big snowstorm in the hopes we'd get out on the slopes early after things opened up. Not meant to be!...We ended up pinned in the cabin for three and a half days while the storm raged. But what a treat to have such a warm, cozy, and well-appointed refuge in which to watch the snow pile up. We loved our stay, despite having to retreat home just as the resorts were reopening, having left no fresh tracks in the powder. We'll be back sometime to try again!

Loved our visit. Very cozy, well stocked, clean rental with a great view. Hot tub was the perfect way to end the day after countless hours playing in the snow. The yard is the perfect place for snow play if you have young kids.

We had an amazing time at the Bear Cub Cabin. Perfect place to relax with family. We enjoyed the open space at the trail head about a block away, toasting smores in the fireplace, and hanging out in the hot tub. Couches were super comfy and a great layout upstairs. Will definitely be staying again

Lovely peek a boo view of the lake from the hot tub and living room. Enjoyed sunrise and sunset over the lake on the south facing deck. Great separation of living and bedroom spaces. Perfect for night owls and early birds. Backyard was a snowy wonderland for the kids. The hosts were very attentive and the cabin was well furnished. We had a great time and hope to stay here again and again.

We have rented many homes in Tahoe over 10+ years and I can say that this is one of if not the best!! The home has three bedrooms, all with comfortable beds, pillows and bedding and flat screen TVs. Then upstairs is a huge living room with three (yes you read that right) comfortable sofas one being a huge sectional. And the fireplace in the middle of the room is epic, I love fires more than anything and was mesmerized by this one and it put off a ton of heat. The kitchen was fully stocked and off it is a great laundry room and bathroom. The hot tub is off the family room on the deck and was wonderful and enjoyed by us all multiple times. There also is a trail about a block away that is simply beautiful with no noise or homes in sight and we only saw one person the multiple times we went. To top it off the wonderful manager and owner were very responsive and even offered us an extra night for free given the house cleaner was coming the next morning. Such a wonderful rental and great value!! Would not hesitate to stay there again!!

Perfect for our family of six. Well equipped with everything needed. Location was perfect. We did bring our own baby gate and we were glad we did because of the layout of the living area being upstairs. It worked out perfectly. It was nice for some quality time with the family.

We had friends visiting from the UK and were eager to show off Lake Tahoe and also spend some quality time just hanging out. This house was absolutely perfect!! Plenty of room, wonderful kitchen with everything we needed, great deck with a fabulous hot tub, and so close to Tahoe City, Emerald Bay, Eagle Lake…. The list can go on and on. The house was super clean, had a great layout, and the owners had all the essentials. I had a few questions ahead of time and the owners were very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend!!

Owner was so amazing and provided so much help and information about the house all before we arrived. I had no questions because they covered all bases! So clean and comfy.

House has a warm comfortable ambiance - enjoyed the stay. Comfortable sofas. The hot tub was great, lots of books and games. Kitchen fully outfitted, lots of linens. Close to hiking trails.
First rain of the season and temperatures dipped. Downstairs heater smelled so bad that we had to turn it off - attribute to it not being used through the summer. Some of the kitchen utensils and pans were dirty. Could have vacuumed better. Only U Tube service on the TV's - we brought our Apple box and signed in with Disney to watch a movie at night. We had a very nice stay.
Thank you.

My family enjoyed our stay. Highlights included very responsive and helpful hosts, comfortable beds, and the most well equipped kitchen I've seen in a rental. I would highly recommend. Easy from start to finish.

This is a great property in an excellent location. The neighborhood is truly quiet and gorgeous. The bed are comfortable, and the kitchen is incredibly stock full of every tool one could imagine. It is also easy to access the area from this location even with July 4 holiday traffic.

Wonderful stay in Lake Tahoe, we had the most relaxing and enjoyable time in this cottage situated not too far from main street. The house comes with ample room to spread your legs, a cute fireplace in the center of the room that gave off a good amount of heat, a sauna where we sweated off the alcohol from the night before, and a hot tub where we relaxed our body after rigorous hiking. The neighborhood is cute and quiet, the people are happy and friendly. We were able to cook, grill, and eat out at leisure. Internet was fantastic, all of us were able to work together without any interruptions. We brought games but they had even more to have fun with. The efficient kitchen had everything one can need and more, we had to tear ourselves away from the house to enjoy the surrounding nature. That's how comfy our stay was.

Rental is just as described. The house is located near food, shopping, stores. Hot tub was great especially with the snow falling. Very accommodating for us and my 2 dogs.

The apartment was spacious and I really liked the layout. All the bedrooms were downstairs and there was a nice big living upstairs. The living room had super comfortable couches and it was a nice space to come together in the evening after boarding. Also it had a hot tub and a sauna which was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Hot tub, sauna, spa robes… need I say more? Perfect set up for a ski weekend but my friends who weren’t on the mountain had an amazing time hanging out around the fire. All the big TVs were great.
4.9
The day after we arrived a winter storm came in. We had multiple problems with our car, a power outage and other eventful things happen during our stay . The owners were so accommodating and helpful. We are so appreciative of their communication with us and how thoughtful and gracious they were. The location is amazing. Though we didn’t get to travel far from the rental b/c of the record breaking amounts of snow falling in the area. After the chains broke on our minivan and we got stuck in the snow, we were too paranoid to drive anywhere else except when it was safe to leave Tahoe. The vrbo has a warm and cozy cabin feel with central fireplace and hot tub on the balcony. Sleds were also made available for use. We spent a lot of time in the neighborhood and played in the snow near the meadow. We got to know some neighbors and other local renters. Everyone was so kind. We definitely had a memorable family experience. We will definitely be back again!

We loved the house! It was exactly as pictured and fully stocked w/ everything one would need. The host (Zack) was super communicative and helpful. The only thing I would call out is that the upper bunk is not meant for adults.

My wife and I (and our dog) loved our time at Bear Cub Cabin! A beautiful house in a stunning neighborhood - situated perfectly in Tahoe City. I highly recommend this house for your next peaceful retreat.

We loved the property! Probably the most outstanding thing about our stay was the owner. She was on a family vacation of her own in Hawaii during our stay at her cabin, and yet she took the time to respond to us with detailed responses to our questions.
4.9
Pam was an amazing communicator!! This was so important for us with the ongoing fires, but we felt safe and like we had the support and info we needed to enjoy our weekend. Thank you, Pam!!

We had a great time at the Bear Cub cabin! The house provided so many useful amenities, I see now that I overpacked. It's equipped with chairs and umbrellas which we used for LTPA beach. The kitchen is well stocked for all kinds of bakes and meals. I love the open style layout where we could cook and hangout with the family. The sauna and hot tub made the stay at the cabin so comfy, it's so easy to relax and just enjoy the home and the views around you. The location was also close to a SaveMart, the Truckee River, hiking trails, and less than an hour to Emerald Bay Park. I love how each bedroom has a TV and access to Netflix. Thank you, Pam and Kerry, for sharing your home and for the great communication throughout.

Two of us had a very nice stay at Bear Cub Cabin for the week. The house is very clean and accommodating.....and located in a very quiet neighborhood. Listing info is accurate and all legit.
As noted, hiking-biking trails are right down the street....easy access to get outdoors! Also convenient location for everything up/down the west side of the lake. We had one hiccup with the hot tub early on, but Pam was awesome to respond quickly and help resolve the issue promptly. Overall would recommend this rental to anyone, couples and small families alike. Thanks to Pam & Kerry for sharing their home!

We had a great time in this property. We loved the hot tub- great at the end of a long day on the hills.
The property was clean and full of useful amenities. We would highly recommend it!

We could only stay for the night the place had everything we would need. I needed to work the next day and the host allowed me to work with the cleaning folks to allow me time to finish my meeting. So helpful and kind and a wonderful location.

Tahoe - Making New Memories
It has been 12 years since our family of five summer-vacationed in Tahoe, and the Bear Cub Cabin was a great place to revisit those past memories of the Tahoe area and make new ones. The large living space on the upper floor is in the trees and with all those windows was quite delightful, although the windows were still streaked from the spring rains. The kitchen is well-stocked, the beds comfortable, and the two bathrooms sufficient. The hot tub was an added enjoyment for some of us as well as the horseshoe pit. The location was convenient, just a few miles from Tahoe City, walking distance to Paige Meadows, and a close drive to the private beach access area (Note: the beach is pebbles and small cobblestones, so best to wear water shoes). Communication was superb, answering questions beforehand, and good follow up upon arrival and departure. Tahoe is an expensive place to vacation, but knowing that, I would definitely recommend staying at the Bear Cub Cabin.
