Good location to explore Ashland, Bayfield and Cornucopia. Enjoyed hiking, viewing waterfalls and picking berries! The cabin was cozy and really enjoyed the fire pit!

Cute cabin, well constructed and great layout for two families. Adults slept comfortably in two bedrooms while kids (3 total) had loft. Could have easily fit more kids in loft. In the middle of nowhere but 1 hr drive to many cool outdoor attractions in all directions

The cabin is exactly as written, close to trails and peaceful. Our host was great to work with!

The place was nice, clean and quiet. It made a great base for the two of us for our adventures. Kevin was super helpful with directions as I was confused about it's location. He explained the location
details and his directions in the listing were spot on so we made it just fine. The extra touches to make it homey and inviting we definitely appreciated.

We needed a quiet place for three of us and our dog for the 4th of July week/weekend, and this house was perfect! We didn't hear a single firecracker or firework the whole time we were there, which was a 4-night stay.
The shower has strong water pressure, so we felt squeaky clean even after days at the lakeshore/beach.
We loved the AC unit, which kept the humidity away, and the kitchen table was great for popcorn and Uno and other card games in the evenings.
I definitely recommend Kevin's house if you'd like some serenity and peace and quiet. Enjoy it!
We would stay here again, and I recommend it.

Beautiful quiet setting and lovely cabin. All ages enjoyed the cabin, sitting out by the fire and watching the stars. The cabin has everything one might need. Great place from which to explore the area. Easy check in/check out process and hosts were great with communication. Really enjoyed our stay!

Our stay was wonderful. The property is cozy, comfortable, and clean. The friendly neighbor stopped in to say hi, all our kiddos thought he was Santa clause;) lol

Great off the road location but still easy access to all the activities in the area. Clean, welcoming, everything you could need. Dog friendly. Thank you.

Wonderful place to stay comfortably while enjoying the woods, fishing nearby, family time, and beautiful Wisconsin. Great dark skies to truly see the stars and Milky Way. Bring your telescope!

We picked this cabin because its location was between places we were planning to visit: Apostle Islands and Duluth. Cabin was great, a bit tricky to find, but owner gave us great directions. Clean and well stocked with all the comforts of a home-away-from-home. For us (75+), we found the beautiful loft queen bed a bit too difficult to get to. However, beds on the first floor were very comfortable and we slept well. Wi-fi was super and TV worked well, once we figured out controllers. All in all, the week went by too quickly. We would rent again, if we decide to come back to this area...loved our stay.

This place was a cozy place to stay. Amazing to go outside and have fun in the great outdoors of the cabin. We went biking at Mt. Ashwabay, Wisconsin and Duluth, Minnesota Which is about 45-75 minutes away. We also had some great food and great fires followed by smores!

Nice cabin. Tight for big trailers, but we were able to fit 2 trucks and trailers in the parking area.

We were looking for a quiet, peaceful place to stay for the 3rd and 4th of July, and this home was ideal. We didn't hear any fireworks at all, so we were all able to sleep soundly, and our dog was completely at ease and relaxed. If you'd like a place to have a relaxing, beautiful stay in northern Wisconsin, this is it.
Also, the days were quite warm -- mid 80s F -- but the AC kept us all comfortably cool in the main floor bedrooms. The shower was great to come back to after a day at the beach.
We recommend this cabin and would stay here again.

Well kept property We did a lot of fishing and hiking. Enjoyed the art work around the cabin. Not the owners fault but the mosquitoes were terrible.

We enjoyed our stay. Written directions need to include fire numbers, especially when arriving after dark. Everything else was very nice.

This little cabin was very cozy. Front outdoor lights were out so it was really dark.

We visited for a couple nights to catch the Perseids meteor shower, and this place was perfect! Very cozy, updated but Northwoods, great location, great natural light, beautiful wildflowers, loved the fire pit and the grill. The cabin had homey and thoughtful touches, and we had all we needed! The hosts were easy to communicate with, and very welcoming. And we had the whole 10 acres to ourselves. Highly recommend! Would definitely go again!

Perfect location for us to stay within the Chewaumegon-Nicolet Natl Forest. A quiet place while exploring Bayfield WI, Apostle Islands and area state parks. It was very clean and spacious with a well stocked kitchen so we were able to prepare meals on site. Cozy and comfortable. True to the description.

Nice remote little cabin. Not too far from lots of activities in Bayfield or Ashland Counties.

The cabin is comfortable, spacious, and very quiet in the middle of the woods! Plenty of chopped wood for the firepit! We had no trouble using Kevin´s directions - in fact they were essential - for reaching it, as it is located on US National Forest roads, in from US highway 2 (do NOT rely on Google Maps!). Plenty of bird sounds, rustling trees, and an occasional toad jumping across the grassy spread in front of the cabin. Bayfield and the Apostle Islands coastline are 50 min - 1 hour drive away.

My sisters and I shared this rental for a few days while attending an art class about 20 miles away. We found the location to be perfect -- close enough to restaurants/supper clubs and recreation opportunities, yet remote enough to be assured quiet evenings and mornings. The cabin was well-appointed, with enough pantry items to ensure we'd be well fed even if we couldn't get to the grocery store. The WiFi was fast, allowing for remote work and streaming video. I hope to come back some day!

Great cabin in the woods
We really enjoyed staying in this homey cabin. Had everything we could possibly need and was so quiet and peaceful. Even had a visiting rabbit! Kevin was great to deal with, just wish we could have stayed longer. Felt like staying at a friend's cabin.

Great rural cabin, close enough to local attractions, excellent internet!
The property is well maintained and beautiful. The outdoor space is quiet, has a grilling area, table and a really nice fire pit. The inside has a nice living room with two couches and several folding chairs. The kitchen is full stocked with whatever you need to cook. The kids slept in the bedrooms on the main floor and the parents slept in the upper loft. The stairs are very steep to get to the loft but you get used to it after a day or two. The road to get to it is gravel but it wasn't too difficult. The road doesn't have a lot of traffic so you don't have the road noises. The internet is excellent. It appears to be fiber internet and the speeds are amazing. I never expected amazing internet this far out in the woods.

Awesome Cabin!!
This was a great place for our family to stay while in town for an event. The cabin itself is fully stocked and has all the comforts of home making it easy to simply unpack and enjoy the space. Highly recommend !

Lost in the woods
Great get away from the hustle. The property had everything we needed. It was clean and tidy. Plenty of firewood which made it nice not having to track down a location to buy it. The owner was super responsive and our kids loved the bunk beds. Would definitely stay again. Easy access to Hwy 2 to go to Duluth or Ashland/Bayfield. Plenty to do in the area.
