About this house rental

This unique custom home was designed by award winning architect firm, Salmon Falls. The home was completed in 2014 and has wonderful architectural details. Large windows face the ocean as well as hand made art glass windows using Frank Lloyd Wright designs. The home is beautifully but comfortably furnished with deconstructed style Restoration Hardware Furniture mixed with family antiques, prints and paintings. The property sits atop Cleaves Cove, has ocean views and is steps away from a quiet beach where sunning, kyaking and paddle boarding can be enjoyed. This residence offers all the amenities including central air conditioning, radiant heat, gas fireplace, steam shower, spa tub and large beautifully landscaped yard with fire pit.
The gourmet kitchen has stainless Vilking Appliances, and a unique glass bartop fabricated in Canada specifically for the space.
The dining table seats ten and the bar seats four. The open floor plan of kitchen , dining and great room is perfect for family and entertaining.
A door from the great room leads to the granite patio and yard. The grounds have been professionally landscaped and offer privacy while still allowing access to ocean views.
There is outside seating including a gas granite bowl fire pit with granite benches.
There is a downstairs half bath powder room as well a large indoor beach shower.
First floor master suite has a California king Tempur-Pedic
Dual control mattress with head and foot elevation and massage features. The adjoining bath has an extra large spa tub , double marble vanity, and spacious marble steam shower with bench.
The second floor has a sitting room with huge picture windows overlooking the Atlantic. The balcony opens to the dining area below.
The second bedroom has a queen bed with a Zen foam Mattress. Plenty of closet space and great ocean views.
The bath for this room has a stone tiled shower, Moxie Blue Tooth shower head and black granite vanity.
The third bedroom has two twin beds also with Zen Foam mattresses. There is an adjoining sitting room, perfect for reading. The windows in this room face the ocean, allowing the midnight surf to rock you to sleep.The bathroom in the suite has a double granite vanity, glass shower with rock floor and a deep soaking tub.
An additional flight of stairs off the ground floor leads to a large media room. The wall mount big screen has all premium movie channels, Netflix and Hulu.
There is high speed internet throughout the house and an additional landline.
This home has a two car garage and plenty of additional parking. There is a gas grill , beach chairs and towels.
Luxury linens, towels, robes and other amenities are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped, plenty of dish and glassware, cutlery and pots and pans.
Keurig single cup and full pot coffee maker in pantry. Bose Blue Tooth speaker to sync with phone or computer for music.
The property is located on exclusive Ocean Avenue and is five minutes from Dock Square in the center of Kennebunkport.
The home has been featured on the kitchen tour of the Kennebunks and has hosted several dinners during the annual Kennebunkport Festival.

Coming back to The Blue House is like coming back to a dear friend. This was our second stay as we were so taken by this beautiful home last summer! Our Clan of 6 made more memories here at The Blue House and Tricia our host feels like family to us. What a wonderful first visit to Kennebunkport. We knew it would rain for half of our stay, but since the house looked so beautiful online and overlooked a charming cove, we decided to book. This is the perfect place to stay! The house is picture perfect, but also comfortable and cozy. There were perfect spots to study, practice the flute, read, play board games, or just relax to watch the waves crash. When the rain eased, we also enjoyed walking the cove and scrambling on the rocks. The town is super charming as well with great restaurant options. We also discovered the most delicious bakery in Kennebunkport - Boulangerie - A Proper Bakery. Even our pomeranian loved their homemade doggy treats (and she's super picky). Finally, we could not have asked for a better host - she is wonderful! She gave us great restaurant, gallery and shop recommendations and made us feel so welcome in her lovely home. Thanks for having us, we hope to return again soon!

The Blue House did not disappoint for our multigenerational Thanksgiving in Kennebunkport. The location was perfect - quiet neighborhood, a short walk to the rocky beach and just a few minute drive to town. Patricia was a lovely host and went above and beyond in helping us prepare for our Thanksgiving meal. The house had everything that we needed.

This is an amazing house in a beautiful location. The home has many amenities and thoughtful details. Truly you can unpack and enjoy. I would highly recommend this property. As a bonus the property owners are gracious, kind and will help with any questions. Be a Mainer at least for a little while.

Our Clan of Five loved our stay at The Blue House from the first steps in to the amazing view of the ocean! No details were overlooked by Tricia & Larry. The open concept of the homes layout and comfy RH furniture made for a relaxed stay. Being a family that loves to cook was also made possible with the Viking kitchen. This clan will definitely make The Blue House our Kennebunkport Destination in the future!

We had the most incredible 4 days of pure luxury. This was the first time we have taken our little dog to stay in a VRBO property. Tricia and Larry were the most welcoming wonderful hosts. Flynn felt 100% at home as did the rest of us. We are looking forward to going back next year and staying longer. The sunrise every morning is something to behold!

Owners are the most kind, sweetest, gentle human beings I've ever met! Their energies will accommodate yours, whether you desire peace and quiet or stir up some fun. As long time proud residents they have a wealth of information about this glorious town, and don't mind sharing. I'm a little hesitant to leave this review, for selfish reasons, lol! The home matches them, beautiful and lacks absolutely nothing!

What a wonderful time we all had at the blue house! It’s just a short walk to a private beach and a small drive to the public beach. The “bonus” shower right inside from the garage was great for getting sand off upon our return. The house was immaculate and we felt right at home there. We did a lot of cooking and had everything we needed right at our fingertips. The beds were so comfortable and the views are wonderful! Tricia and Larry were very easy to communicate with. We hope to come back soon for another visit!

This was a beautiful property inside and out. The views were lovely, and the house is immaculately decorated. It had everything we needed for a family getaway in Kennebunkport and plenty of room to spread out so that we could have our own spaces to unwind when we wanted them. We'd love to return one day.

We fell in love with this waterfront home and our host the minute arrived. The property is thoughtfully equipped with every luxury amenity imaginable and decorated with a true artist’s eye. It’s location is quintessential, offering views and sounds of an ever-changing cove that are magical all day long. We walked or biked on the coastal road daily, took an early morning sailboat trip, and spent our days exploring beaches and visiting our favorite shops. Coming home at the end of our adventures to a steam shower, spa tub, and backyard fire pit was icing on the cake. Our biggest compliments to our host Tricia for anticipating every wish of her guests and making our stay more relaxing and enjoyable than we could ever have imagined. We will savor the memories from our early summer vacation week until our next visit!

Incredibly beautiful home! Views of the Atlantic Ocean everywhere you looked. The owners truly make you feel it is your home. Her knowledge of the area is not only extensive, but broad. With little information from us she was able to direct us in the right direction. She was the accommodating and helpful owner we could hope for.

We came to town for a pre-Thanksgiving getaway to enjoy the tranquil oceanfront scenery, shopping and some incredible dining experiences. This beautiful home owned by Tricia and Larry was the perfect home base for all of our trip. The attention to detail throughout the home was a special treat especially the steam shower in the master bathroom. Wonderful home.

Trisha’s house is absolutely perfect. The home is steps away from the coast, and there are views from all of the rooms, and with the windows open, you can hear the surf crashing. The home is decorated beautifully, comfortable, and very clean. The location was perfect for morning walks and being able to explore the area. Trisha is the perfect host, and because our vehicle was filthy from being in Acadia prior and just the pollen, she actually brought us car washing supplies from her own home. If you are looking for the perfect house in the perfect location, this is the house. This is one time, I was not ready to leave… I could have just stayed.

Amazing house, perfect location. Water views were better than expected, cute beach a short walk down the street. House was stocked with everything you would need. Beds and bedding were very high end and comfortable. Trish was great, and left a very sweet welcome package for us. Rent this house, you won’t be disappointed!

We stayed here during our kids’ spring break and hope we can come back this summer. The house and furnishings are beautiful, immaculately clean, and the check-in / check-out process was a piece of cake. We are a family of five and the bedroom setup was great for us. There is also a family room set slightly away from the main part of the house which we loved: while mom and dad wanted to read, the kids watched TV. Everyone was happy. The house is also just steps to the ocean, close enough that you can see the water and smell the ocean air from the patio. The location is great, quiet and peaceful but also easy driving distance to shops. Tricia was amazing, she made everything so easy. We will definitely be back, it’s wonderful.

This house is breathtaking. It's beautiful in every way and situated in a very special location--not only can you walk to town, to cleaves beach, and all along the coast, you get the most amazing views of the ocean and sunrises from inside the house itself. Everything is well designed and appointed and it's the owners took special care to make us feel welcomed and extremely well-taken care of. We have visited Kennebunkport for three years and rented two other homes and this was by far the most unique, stunning, and enjoyable home. We felt so fortunate to have had the opportunity to stay and as a bonus, we saw groups of seals just off the coast.
