About this house rental
Our 5 bedroom, 3 bath home is situated in a quiet country neighborhood to the east of Oregon City with amazing views of the Clackamas River. Choice of paths on the terraced lawn to take you to the river's edge. This home was recently constructed in 2016 and the floor plan of the new home was created with the view and our guests in mind. The house has 3 full baths with showers and also a tub in the master, 5 bedrooms with queen beds, and a full futon with memory foam mattress in the upstairs entertainment area. The home will sleep up to 12 with all linens and bedding provided.
There is wheelchair accessibility to the main floor, but it is not ADA compliant. An electric heat pump provides central heating and cooling, and the home includes an impressive gas fireplace and granite counters throughout. Floors are tile and hardwood. There is a large covered balcony off of the upstairs entertainment area for birds-eye viewing of the river and woodlands. The entertainment area has plenty of seating with a futon, reclining sofa, and 2 recliners. A DVD player and DVD library accompanies the 55" LED TV with internet connectivity. Books for adults and children and board games are available for use as well as outdoor sports equipment and games.
The full laundry room includes an additional refrigerator. Gas grill on covered patio off of living/dining area. Property features beautiful river and forest view and outdoor area with picnic tables and fire pot for toasting marshmallows, as well as easy access to the river for fishing or rafting depending on the time of year. Large, private yard great for gathering extended family. We are on the Clackamas River between Milo McIver State Park and Barton Park, and nearly at the end of a dead-end road. This is a favorite location of international fly fishermen.

Pictures do not do this house justice! So beautiful inside and out. The road does look a little creepy if you arrive at night but push past that. There are a lot of laminated rules all over the house but they aren't unreasonable.
Loved our stay there!

Right on the river, would recommend bringing flotation devices you can do you own floats

The property was beautiful, very clean, and well kept. The views of the river from the house were great. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Everything is organized and labeled. We were very impressed by the amount of towels and wash cloths available. For a group of 10, it was a plus! We arrived very late at night with no porch light being on and the door would not open. We did contact the owner and he resolved the issue. There was a lot of rules to follow and it was a little stressful and caused some in our group to not relax. All of the recycling having to be washed out, separated and put in separate cans outside was a lot and we are still unsure if we did it correctly. It would be helpful for pictures to be posted on each can. We did vacuum and sweep before leaving for fear of losing the security deposit. The loose bricks on the walkway is very dangerous and need to be fixed. If you don’t want to watch every little thing and every person to make sure a rule is not broken so you don’t lose your deposit then you may want to stay elsewhere. If you want a large, comfortable, clean place with many activities to do at the house and in the area then I recommend staying. We did enjoy being on the river.

This was a beautiful property. It worked very well for our extended family visit. The river was gorgeous and property was quiet and yet minutes from all types of activities. We played cornhole and visited outside for hours.

Beautiful property with direct river access. Very secluded with large indoor and outdoor visiting areas for everyone to visit together or spread out. Daily visits from the doe and fawn, mink, eagles and crawfish.

Came to Oregon for a family vacation. Property was very quiet and private. Plenty of room for everyone and great kitchen / dining area for meals / games. Location was great for day trips in any direction. Highly recommend.

The house was very spacious and clean, with a well-stocked kitchen. The ground floor open floor plan made it easy for a large group to spend time together. Having 2 laundry rooms was a nice bonus for our family as many came from out of state and appreciated this 4 day stay as a timeout to catch up from travel. We enjoyed watching the wildlife, especially the unusual piebald deer.
I was surprised by the location. It has an Oregon City address while being a 20-25 minutes drive east of OC on country roads, much closer to Estacada. And the listing really needs to reflect that the last 1/4-1/2 mile is a very steep and narrow (one lane) gravel drive shared with several neighbors.
While the house is beautiful and well kept, the outside needs considerable attention. The lawn had been mowed, but the trees and shubbery and river access are extremely overgown, flower beds a complete shambles, the concrete patio overgrown with moss, the picnic tables old, discolored and splintery. The days we were there were very cool and rainy so we were mostly inside, but none of this lends itself to any photo ops.
Overall we were happy with the accommodations but don't expect to host a lovely outdoor event here in it's current condition.

We gathered our 3 children, their spouses and our grandchild from Colorado to Seattle and stayed at Ivan's Riverfront House. The house worked perfect with a room for everyone. Our teen grandson was so happy to have his own room. The view was fabulous. The only caution I would give is that you need to know that you will be a ways from stores and restaurants and there is a pretty steep driveway. But besides that, you couldn't ask for a better place to have a great family get away. Also Ivan was easy to work with.

Rented for our daughters wedding in Mulino. My goal was to provide a place where my out of town family and friends could have a bit of peace away from the wedding venue and enjoy how beautiful Oregon is. This was the perfect property! Goal achieved.

All good…great place.
The signage and rules made us feel a little like we were gonna be in trouble….but they were also kind of funny….

I rented it for my wedding I wanted our 2 families to stay at the same house for bonding. My only regret is that I didn’t add a few more days so that i could have enjoyed the beautiful views and home. The drive way is narrow and steep so not sure I would want to rent in inclement weather but I would highly recommend this house for a relaxing vacation

We had a great time at this VRBO! It was large, spacious, clean with relaxing scenery. Host was very thorough in the house rules/ expectations. Highly recommend!

The minute we walked in the door we were very pleased with the beautiful home we were going to be staying in the next two nights. The view out the large windows of the river were so serene and sitting on the porch was so quiet. We were so blessed to be able to stay at this awesome property. Hopefully we will be able to return someday.

The house was just as described. There was plenty of dishes/cookware as was pantry items. The property was nice to walk in the morning and evening. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch watching the deer and the river. It was quite peaceful.

We travelled to an amazing wrestling camp hosted by Coach Mark Sprague, and arrived late evening after hours of travel to a beautiful and clean house right on the Clackamas river. We found the decor to be thoughtful, the pantry and washroom decently stocked, and kitchen thoroughly equipped, so it really felt like home. There were board games, and outdoor games to play... we barely touched our phones. We plan to stay here every visit to Clackamas.

This is a lovingly cared for and very well appointed home with plenty of space for an extended family reunion. The views from the rear of the house of the Clackamas River are stunning. It is very quiet. I have never stayed in a rental that had everything you needed, and then some, especially in the kitchen. This is great for a family such as ours that enjoys cooking. And in such a location, it is important as you would likely stock up on groceries and settle in for the stay.
There are a lot of requests, as far as do’s and dont’s, listed by the homeowners, but they are clearly marked and posted. Would recommend this location to those who are very careful and considerate of others.
There are fun things like cornhole, croquet, games, books and movies for older children, teens, and adults. Might be a tough spot with really young ones as there is no carpeting anywhere and access to the river.
Communication with the owners was always prompt and helpful.
Overall, would definitely recommend this spot to those looking for a peaceful riverfront vacation.

Simple check in. All rooms were accommodating.
Off the Beaten path but worth it once you get there.
Some games provided which made it nice.
Would definitely stay again

This house was perfect for my large family. A very peaceful and relaxing location. The house was very clean on our arrival. Owner responded quickly to a minor issue we discovered. The kitchen had everything we needed. Every morning started with coffee on the back porch watching the river run by and listening to the birds. Lots of space indoor and out for the family to spread out. It was a great stay!

Nice location in the river banks to relax and spend quality time with family. Though there are rules for us to follow with notes everywhere, it didn’t really bother us.
A nice place.

This place was 1000x better than the pictures and was better than we even imagined.
We are so grateful that it was so well-stocked with cooking things that were so useful and we were really able to enjoy it.
It smells like a new house and it is so well kept. You can hear the river flowing and the birds chirping and is such a wonderful place.
We were able to have a late check-out which was helpful for our evening return flights.
We loved it so much that we are already talking about wanting to book this place again for next year!

Great riverfront property. Very relaxing. We tried salmon fishing but unfortunately didn’t have any luck. They were running a little late this year with the long winter. Had one issue with a low battery smoke detector chirp on the vaulted ceiling a few hours after arrival. Owner was very easy to work with and gave us access to a ladder so we could resolve the issue. We will definitely come again.

Nice multi-generational family get together. House had everything we needed. Ended up with great weather in December, we hope to be back.

My family and I had a great time at this property over Thanksgiving. There was plenty of space for everyone and the home came with most everything we needed. The house is located along the river which also means having to travel down some pretty steep dirt roads, but worth it.

Great house, very clean.

Overall the home is beautiful and a quiet location. Perfect size for our crew of 11! The road to the house is a bit rough especially in the dark. House was nicely stocked with necessary items. The disappointments were there were many active wasp nest on the upper balcony so sitting outside was limited that was a-shame and there were tons of bees, there appeared to be ground nest. Thank you Ivan for being reachable and helpful!

No doubt about it, this is a beautiful property which was almost exactly as advertised. Right on the river, lots of room to spread out and entertain, as long as you follow the voluminous notes left virtually everywhere.

Wonderful home, wonderful host. It was more than enough room for our large family, even had a pack n play for the baby. Would book again the next time we need a staycation.

it was great! the house is beautiful. My only wish was that there was Reynolds wrap for the cookie sheet lol... but I usually bring my own and forgot.. truly beautiful home with lots to do!

Our small family had a wonderful reunion at this beautiful site. The view of the river is so relaxing and it was fun watching the rafters drift by. I felt a bit nervous with all of the posted rules and restrictions, but it is a gorgeous home and I understand you wanting to keep it that way. Thanks again!

This was one of the cleanest properties we've stayed at using VRBO. The house was beautiful and it's obviously well taken care of. I've seen comments on reviews about the excessive notes throughout the house but they weren't anything that bothered our group. To me, they were reminders of what to do and not do. You can read information but for some people, the information doesn't stick - so the notes were helpful. I highly recommend this property!

We had a wonderful stay! There were lots of different activities for our kids to do our in the shed. We had plenty of space for each little family to stay in the rooms with their kiddos. The view of the river and being tucked away from the neighborhood was just perfect.

A Little Piece of Heaven for City Folks
Very secluded, large, lush yard. Located on the Clackamas River as stated in the VRBO. Fairly close to all areas of interest for our family. Plenty of space in the home.

Uncomfortable experience
I'll start by saying the location of the house is perfect. The house has river access however, the pathway to the river was not maintained. The house is a short drive to town.
The house is spacious but definitely doesn’t feel cozy due to all the extreme rules and labels which are located everywhere (literally everything is labeled with instructions and penalty fees). If you want a vacation home to relax I’d advise you look else where. Some of the rules are understandable and common sense. But the owner regulates the stove temperature. Also, to ask a guest to rinse aluminum cans before placing them in the recycle bin is extreme. These are just two example of the many ridiculous rules. My family and I were so nervous trying to follow all the rules that we couldn’t relax and enjoy our stay. We were definitely disappointed and would never stay here again. It’s a shame because the location is beautiful.
Also, be warned when entering in the front or back, there are random loose bricks which we had a family member fall from.

Beautiful relaxing location for our family
Felt relaxing, secluded and private, but was only 8 minutes from wedding venue, 20 minutes to a variety of shopping and 45 minutes to airport. We enjoyed the the spacious interior and family dining room table. Fireplace was wonderful in the evening. We had coffee on the patio every morning, watching the birds on the river. Wow, wonderful way to start the day.

GREAT RETREAT
Out of state’rs here for wedding- had 2 big families and home was an excellent retreat from 6 days of celebrations and ceremony. Residence had all the appointments a large group needed for meals, beds, communal areas… river and outside grounds big for many outdoor activites and fire pit.
