Snowflake Chalet in Arnold, CA (AKA MySnowflakeChalet) is a remodeled spacious cabin located east of the historic Gold Rush towns of Angel's Camp and Murphys, gateway to the Sierras. Located just across the street from the Blue Lake Springs Recreation Center, our cabin is an entire home rental that is perfect for multi-family gatherings. We can sleep 8 adults plus 2-4 children/teens comfortably, and will consider more than 10 guests total for a small additional charge. Please send an inquiry if you would like to register additional guests. We allow up to 2 well-behaved dogs, and charge $100 for each dog.
We offer a cozy atmosphere with plenty of space for a multi-family vacation, family reunion or weekend-getaway.

Lots of snow and summer stuff in the garage to play with and directly across the street from the clubhouse area with a park for the kids. A lot of stairs to get to the front door, which the homeowners did let us know about. If you have a lot of luggage, break it into smaller bags. Great place and awesome view.

We loved the Snowflake Chalet. Days at one of the nearby lakes, evenings on the deck playing games, sleeping in comfey beds. Couldn't ask for more.

Fun for the whole family! Loved how close it was to Big Trees State Park for hiking and Bear Valley Village for sledding. The family/game room even had some toys/legos for my kids to play with. The adults enjoyed a glass of wine on the deck. We recommend!

A winter wonderland cabin
We spent Christmas week at the Snowflake Chalet. We got so much snow. It was a magical Christmas. Naomi put Christmas decorations and a Christmas tree up for us. This was a perfect place for a special family time together. We had a few days without power due to the snow storm but the cabin was warm, and delightful. Naomi was so supportive and helpful, with suggestions to help us during the power outage. There were lanterns and a wood fireplace that kept us very warm. The BBQ was a perfect place to cook our meals. We enjoyed unplugging and had a wonderful week. We will be back in the summer. This area has so much to offer and fun things to do.

Family time!
What a wonderful place to share with family. The views are wonderful, the home is spacious yet cozy. Activities are right across the street. And the outdoor space is so large we spent a good deal of our time on the very large deck enjoying the views and catching with each other. The owners were wonderful and really want you to enjoy your stay. We will definitely be back

We had such a fun time at your cabin! Lots of little notes everywhere to make us feel comfortable. The host Naomi called and checked in with us when we got in. We felt like part of the family. We will stay here again. Close to snow, and looks like an awesome place to stay during summer as well. We had 4 kids under 4, and they all loved it. Definitely games for kids to play. There are some wires on the ground, so if your kid isn’t a good listener then I probably wouldn’t stay there. There was pretty lights around the window, the master bed was comfortable, and the master bathroom was absolutely stunning.

Awesome Home For The Entire Family
We had an amazing time AGAIN! We loved it so much the first time that when we saw it was available for our trip, we immediately booked it! It was comfortable and fun for all of us! The home was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Naomi was super attentive and responsive to all of our questions. She even accommodated us when we wanted to stay for one more night. She rescheduled the cleaner and was super cool about it even though Im sure it was a hassle to change last minute. We look forward to them allowing us to stay in their home in the future and highly recommend this property to anyone. It has all you need for spending time with the family and enjoying Arnold. Wonderful Owners; Great Location!
Our family stayed at Snowflake Chalet over the Valentine's Day/President's Day holiday. The owners were wonderful and established great communication. The location of the cabin is right across from the Blue Lake Springs Recreation Center and very close to highway access. The layout and spaciousness of the home was greatly appreciated and the kitchen was well-stocked. The owners recently installed a new, king-sized mattress in the upstairs, master bedroom which was very comfortable. We hope to return this summer.

Great family cabin
My family of four had a wonderful extended stay at the cabin. First off, we had to be comfortable with the cleaning process give the pandemic. No problem there. The owner has been very diligent about ensuring the cleanliness of the surfaces, towels, sheets and dishes with extra cleaning and processes so everything gets cleaned after each stay. On to the fun part... The cabin is just right with plenty of space indoors and a beautiful deck overlooking the Snowflake Lodge and mountains. We ate outside most nights and cooked with the brand new BBQ. Furniture/beds were very comfortable and everything seemed to work well throughout the house. There is also a huge bonus room over the garage for with the kids to play or to get some work done. Note that there is a steep driveway and around 20 steps up to the house. We would definitely recommend the cabin.

Great place for a family gathering
We just rented this home for 10 people, 6 adults, 4 teenagers and 3 well behaved dogs for my husband's 50th. There was SO much space, much more than I guessed from the pictures. The rec room has two sets of bunks and a full sized bed which the teens loved to watch movies and have 'parent free time' which funnily enough worked out great for the parents! LOL. The kitchen is well equipped, couch big enough for board games and movie night and the table has an extension leaf to seat 10 comfortably. We had a group hit the slopes at Bear Valley whilst others hiked the Arnold Rim trail or went thrift store shopping. All in all a lovely trip. If I would change anything, I might mention that the beds are all pretty firm, fine for the back sleepers, but myself and the other side sleepers had some aches after 4 nights. Nothing memory foam topper wouldn't solve. Naomi and Rick were excellent hosts.

Thanksgiving Holiday Fun in the Snow
This cabin is wonderful! We arrived for the Thanksgiving Holiday to 2 plus feet of fresh snow still coming down. I t was beautiful and so much fun for our grandsons. There were 11 of us staying for 4 nights and we were all very comfortable. The cabin allows for families to spread out and watch movies, play games, cook in a great kitchen and just relax. We drove a couple miles up Hwy 4 to Big Trees State Park for hiking around and more playing in the snow. Then drank hot cocoa and warmed by the fire in the "warming hut".
I highly recommend this cabin! Naomi is great to communicate with for any questions that come up. the location across the street from Blue Lake Springs clubhouse is great. We were able to park our extra cars in the parking lot which worked out well. It would be great for the summer fun in the lake and pool just a stroll away.

Great cabin for large group
We have been going to Arnold for a few years with family and friends. and usually rent through Cedar Creek Realty, but decided to try a new home this time. We had a great time this week at the Snowflake Chalet. We met the neighbors (long time owners up the hill) and really enjoyed the holiday decorations and the friendly off leash dogs. The cabin itself is also pet friendly and the vinyl flooring throughout makes it easy to keep clean. The room over the garage is carpeted and sleeps up to 8 people. You can access the bonus room from inside the home, so don’t worry about sending visitors outside to access the room above the garage. It’s separated from the main house by a main entry/mud room area. The owners provided a remote for their garage door which was a nice touch, because we stored all the ski gear in the garage, so we didn’t need to lug it up all the steps. There are two sets of steps to enter the chalet so I would not advise packing a large suitcase, as it’s a heavy haul up the flights with firewood, gear, and food. The kitchen was well stocked and the towels were white and fluffy. We did use the washer and dryer and were happy that they were both new and the huge kind without the agitator, so we could wash and dry the gear from our days at the snow. The high deck has two small locking gates at each entry, which helps with pets and/or young children. Heater worked well, but the kitchen and dining areas are a bit drafty, so pack your slippers. Was very windy on night number 2, and we woke to a large falling tree, which was a bit scary, the sound of the cracking before the fall was extremely frightening but thankfully it was stopped by other trees and did not hit the house or cars! That’s Big Trees mountain life for you! Thank for sharing this great home.

Such a beautiful home in a great location. All of the amenities and coziness of the house made our vacation that much better! The hosts of the home were extremely helpful and accommodating. The beds and bedding were very comfortable and the heater/fireplace worked great for the cold nights! We hope to rent this place again next year!

Wonderful family home and awesome location!
What a great impromptu holiday spot! Our family was desperate to escape the poor air quality due to the Camp Fire and were lucky enough to find this great house to spend a surprise weekend away from the Bay Area. We have young children and there was beyond adequate space for our five year old to play and an infant to nap (quietly). We could have comfortably had another family join us. The kitchen is well equipped, so we stayed home and made dinner every evening. Everything was clean and comfortable - a true "home away from home." As for activities: It is directly across the street from the Blue Lake Springs rec center which would be fantastic in summer time. We wandered into town for coffee and lunches. We managed day trips to Lake Alpine and Big Trees Park as well as sneaking in some great running/hiking along the Arnold Rim Trail with our dogs. This area is such a nice secret - good skiing/snow play in winter and awesome outdoors in the summer/shoulder seasons without the crowds of Tahoe.
A huge thank you to the owners and Chellsea for helping us get in on short notice and being so kind & accommodating. We will look forward to coming back again!

Not the place to stay if you want a clean environment. I have pictures of dog hair on sheets, throws, carpet and clogs of dust and hair under the beds. When I contacted the owner excuses were made. Not only that but they made a claim on insurance on their sofa that is bogus. I also have a video of how we left the house....just in case. So glad we did. So if you rent this house, make sure you purchase insurance and make sure no one has allergies to dust & dog hair.

Great place to stay
The Snowflake Chalet was a great choice for our annual trip to Arnold. We had 6 adults and 7 kids in our group and there was the perfect amount of space. The kiddos loved the rec room with AC and plenty of room to sleep. The house was equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The deck right off the kitchen had a beautiful view and is where we spent time playing games, having drinks and creating more memories with family and friends. Naomi, Rick and Chelsea, the property manager were extremely responsive. Would stay again!

We LOVE the Snowflake Chalet!!!!
Our family of 11 come from 4 parts of Northern Calif and spend a wonderful week together at this "home away from home". This was our second year. All of us sleep in comfortable beds. New air conditioning in the home is fabulous. We can all eat at the large dining room table or out on the deck. We enjoy playing table games and doing puzzles and their game closet is amply supplied. For our teenagers, there is so much to do with the pool across the street, the lake down the street, and volleyball & basketball whenever they want. We visited Calaveras Big Trees (so close) and about 30 minutes away is beautiful Alpine Lake. Then there is wine tasting & the Mercer caverns in Murphys. What more could you ask for. We highly recommend this wonderful vacation home.

We came up with another family and this cabin was perfect! Our 4 boys loved the downstairs rec room (they called it the "boy fort") and us adults loved the spacious deck. The owners were very responsive and wanted to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. We've rented many cabins in the Arnold/Pinecrest areas and this is one of the best! Also, being directly across the street from the rec center with access to the pool, lake, fishing, movie nights, bingo, etc was a HUGE plus! Thank you Naomi and Rick!

Comfortable cabin - great location
We took our youngest son & his family (5 kids- youngest ones 3 yr. old twin boys) for his kids to be in the snow for their first time. But there was no snow. So we spent more time in this cabin which was enjoyable due to its spaciousness and down home comfort. Even though there were 9 of us - 4 adults & 5 young kids. This cabin has a downstairs bedroom that easily sleeps 7 - 8. This is where my son and his family slept. The room is large enough to also make a play area for the kids so the adults could be upstairs talking or watching tv without children interference. Downstairs is only 3 or 4 steps so we could still easily hear what was going on and keep an eye on them. There is also a tv in this room. My wife and I slept in the upstairs master bedroom which was nicely decorated, comfortable, and spacious. This room had a great view of the area. There are 2 chairs to sit in and plenty of room to store clothes and gear. Both the master bathroom and downstairs bathroom appeared to be recently remodeled very nicely. Both bathrooms have large showers with separate bath tubs. The large, roomy kitchen with large center island allowed my daughter-in-law, son, and I to cook breakfast and dinner together and to make lunch without bumping into one another or being cramped. The dining area is large as well allowing all 9 of us to sit at the table together. There were 2 other bedrooms available which we did not even need to use. Even the living (or family) room was large enough so we could all gather together there to watch a movie. There are 2 couches and 2 chairs so plenty of seating. The cabin is right across from the homeowners association so lots of open space across the street that is nicely maintained. We had plenty of room to play with the kids out in front of the cabin and enjoyed the local wildlife including 3 does walking by. The cabin is dog friendly and my son brought his dog. The dog enjoyed the spacious home as well as running and playing outside. We spent part of one day at White Pines Lake which is only a little over 2 miles away and another day at Calaveras Big Trees which also is only a little over 2 miles away. The cabin is in a great location to see the sights and sounds of Arnold.

Nice Size and a Great location
We spent a weekend with another family and the nine of us spread throughout the house with room to spare. The house was clean and as advertised and directly across from the rec center. Kids had a ball capturing bullfrogs, fish, swimming in the lake and pool. The patio was very pleasant for evening dinners. Lots of fun board games.
