Central Location, Lovely Historic building. Easy to find.
Freezing cold on arrival. Very poor kitchen facilities. Not even a bread knife or matching glasses, cutlery all mismatched.
Bathroom facilities extremely poor, shower a dribble, no decent lights (only in shower) tiny loo & sink.

lighting in the bathroom. very noisy in the high street outside the property.

location and value
Property was very cold when we arrived. A terrible shower. The low beams were dangerous. The kitchen could be better equipped.

The location of the property was perfect, surrounded by all the things we wanted from our stay. The property itself had so much character & would 100% stop there again.
The only thing that caused a problem was my father Inlaw banged his head a few times on the door frames due to them being quite small and him being 6ft 3 haha, was funny for the rest of us.

Didn't actually meet the hosts, so difficult to give the max response. we came to visit the event on at the show ground. So we weren't at the digs all that much, however, we couldn't have had a better place to stay.

The location of this property is excellent and although in the very centre of the town it's very quiet. The apartment is in an old building, with difficult stairs for people with mobility problems, it's very large and quirky and the basic facilities are practical and efficient.
A little TLC in certain areas of the apartment would not come amiss. With some investment it could really be much better.

Just a bit luxury.
low door frames was challenging for a six foot tall bloke.

Fantastic accommodation. You are really going back in time. You probably will be sleeping in queen Henrieta Maria bedroom. Also comfortable beds, modern TV,Internet, lounge with settees, kitchen with everything you need.Lots of character features, lots of space as well.Very central next to the church and opposite the pub-very beautiful building of the old Post office.
Unfortunately may be because of the old window frames and partly because of the safety you can not open the windows. There is extracter
fan in the toilet but that's it.

It’s character.
it was cold. The property relies on electric heaters.
it’s also very noisy, very early in the morning. We stayed for a week, and we’re woken at or before 06:00 every day by street cleaners, or pub deliveries.
There is a real need for someone to re-stock the kitchen utensils as well. There is a lack of the most basic utensils and cutlery. We used a pair of scissors to cut through a croissant!
I think the owners should try to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner at the property!
We decided to go self-catering for a reason darling!

Essentials were provided .
All good kitchen equipment.
Plenty of T Towels , knives, cutlery, etc
Everything was fab. If I had to to say one negative comment. Would be the shower was not the best when you have long hair. But manageable .

it was very clean, comfortable beds and convenient for the centre of town. close to places to eat, we particularly recommend Taylors, just a few minutes walk away
on arrival there was no heating and it was very cold. there was no hand wash available and no saucepans provided. the shower was very disappointing and Wi-Fi was very poor.

perfectly placed for the centre of newark. The car parking was not far away, and cost just £4 a day. Morrisons supermarket is a few metres away. There are lots of good takeaways in the vicinity which you can order online and have delivered or just walk the minute or 2 it takes. The place is a bit quirky, but that's to be expected with its age, but it had been well restored, and is very light and clean. There is lots and lots of space and we felt very comfortable whilst we were there.
There should have been a hair dryer, but there wasn't so we had to buy a new one ourselves. I can only assume that it broke or someone helped themselves to it, maybe by mistake.

A superb apartment, incredibly central, well-kitted out and has a cosy/homely feel. The hosts are very professional and amenable. I was able to extend my check-out by 1hr. Arrival & departure instructions were clear and concise.
Both bedrooms overlook a bar/pub that plays loud music until quite late and patrons are also noisy outside.
Due to the property's age, it is damp. However, this was not a big problem for my summer stay and the apartment is well-kitted out with heaters.

The location was central. It was charming, as was Newark with its medieval timber frame buildings. A must stay for any fan of history.
