Was a beautiful old building. Loved the decor. Garden outside was amazing and will definitely return in summer to see It in full splendour. House was central and close to everything we needed. Rob was very accommodating and accessible.
Bit cold but the weather was freezing outside and the building is old. This would not put me off returning

It was quirky and interesting, the outside area was great you could sit out and stay dry, Rob was very accommodating and let us drop our belongings in the apartment earlier than check in time, we were grateful as we were attending a wedding and would be back late and slightly sozzled.
The lights in the garden area, I couldn’t find a switch so we had to sit in darkness so we couldn’t fully appreciate the aesthetic

Nice change from the usual white sterile hotel room. Friendly, chatty host. In centre of town
Nothing really, was as I expected it to be

Location was great for visiting Newark town centre. Plenty of shops restaurants etc to chose from and host was very friendly and helpful.
The accommodation felt a little ‘tired’.

The garden was nice and the flat had character. Right in the centre of town, which was great for us. Pretty much all we needed for a short stay, host was also welcoming.
Some hand soap in the bathroom, extra toilet rolls would have been nice. The decor was quite busy, not great if you have sensory challenges.

What an amazing place. A uniquely decorated apartment on multiple levels in a converted 450 year old coach house. Rob's a friendly and welcoming host. On entering and walking though the secret garden you can't help pick up on the love that Rob has put into his place!
We had the front apartment and the pub across the road had rather load music playing until 1am on a Thursday night. Not sure if that was a one-off.

Excellent position to town. But cold place needs heating.

Spacious two bed property was exactly what my family and I needed for a night away for a friend's birthday, super close to the free parking, the location, and the town centre. Rob was a great and friendly host and the property had all that we needed.
We really have no complaints - if we had to give any feedback I'd say check out at 12 would be easier for those coming for an event, or the lack of plug sockets in the bedrooms just for phone charging but we really had no negatives!

the advertising pictures are not a true reflection of what the property is actually like. Not something we would of chosen
the tiny steps everywhere.
the main bed was very uncomfortable with a dip in the middle, after reading the reviews this seems to be a ongoing review. the owner really should invest in a new bed or mattress

Good location, the garden part is charming and some of the decoration is kooky
Shabby chic without the chic part - problems included:
Sheets smelled like dog
Lipstick mark on glasses
No hot water in taps
Dust everywhere,
unhoovered floor
Poor wifi
Exposed wires from behind mirror
Vape wrapper and coffee Stains on bedside tables
Filthy fridge
Inadequate heating throughout (had to be fully clothed in bed to be even remotely warm enough)

First of all, Rob is an amazing host. Friendly and kind, he'll help you with everything you need, and show you around.
The place itself was very nice, convenient, and fully equipped. It had everything you need for a stay of up to several weeks.
Cozy living room and 2 bedrooms. Lots of natural and artificial light.
The beds were very comfortable; soft, but it was like sleeping on a cloud.
An amazing green garden outside creates a peaceful atmosphere.
From the inside, the place is decorated quite unordinary.
Like it or not, it has a unique character and soul that you won't find everywhere.
A bit more light in the kitchen would be nice, but not a big deal.

The location was perfect.
The bed should have been condemned, the steps were a hazard, it had a damp odour and the general cleanliness was poor.

It's a lovely quirky place to stay, very good location.
Sorry to say but we didn't sleep well, the bed dipped in the middle and we both ended up with bad backs which is a shame as everything else is fab .

The bed was super comfy & the apartment was perfect for our steampunk weekend
The road outside was very noisy but it was world cup football on

We have just had a magical stay in this amazing apartment. The decor is unique loved all the details in every room and the garden is to die for. Loved sitting there at night with all the lights and a glass of wine. The host Roger was very friendly and helpful. Wish we had booked a longer stay didn't want to leave. There is everything you need in the apartment, close to all amenities, couldn't ask for more. Will definitely be booking again when we have to travel to Newark, it made our stay memrable.

Good location in centre of town but very quiet. Very good value for money if you need 2 bedrooms. The secret garden itself is nice, especially at night
Feels a bit ramshackle but some people will like the quirkiness of it.
