Would not stay again

No Sunday breakfast as kitchen is closed. Room smelt damp and no opening windows. Mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Shower was on full and was still tepid, and also not very good coverage.

Lovely warm friendly staff and super comfortable room.

Staff friendly. Good location to our son who we were visiting. Nice big room and bath. N

No breakfast. Maybe could have Been given vouchers to a local cafe ?

Passable but not brilliant accommodation.

Quiet area on edge of Newark town, has own carpark. Large bedroom area

Told at reception that there was no food or drink on the premises despite a huge bar area. Apparently not been staffed since covid era. No breakfast @vailable. Room ok but dated. Mattress and pillows very uncomfortable. Carpet needed hoovering. Expected more for £120 a night.

Overpriced for room only ,with no breakfast facilities ,surely they could offer a continental/ buffet breakfast for guests to help themselves!.

I feel I ought to have been contacted to warn me no breakfast and also been offered money off.

No restaurant or breakfast facilities due to staff shortages. This was not mentioned when booking.

Won't go back - plenty of better places to stay

Clean room and nice bathroom

No food available despite being listed as a hotel. I was told it was due to not being able to get staff

Disappointing for price paid

Pleasant staff . Room and corridors clean. Bed comfortable . Good white towels .

Bland and dated furnishings. No breakfast facility and inadequate tea/ coffee in room to allow us to make our own drinks instead of breakfast. Annoying pulsing hum all night long from somewhere in the building, Traffic in this part of Newark is terrible in the rush hour so took ages to get into the hotel site and to get out to where we needed to go

Millgate House Hotel stay

Really enjoyed staying here as it was close enough to the centre for us to walk there easily. The staff were friendly and the bed comfy.

Was disappointed that we were told only after we arrived there, that there was no food served at all because they were short staffed. We were planning to have breakfast there and a meal on the night after our long journey, so then we had to go and look elsewhere and didn't know the area. Had we been informed of this before we arrived we would have done our homework and found somewhere else to eat.
