We had a good stay here for a week. It's a cool property but a bit run down. The couch is very dirty and stained. We had issues with the AC while we were there. One of the light fixtures was falling out of the ceiling, and the fire alarms were hanging open without any batteries. The beds were decent but quite loud when you move. The one shower in the property leaked water all over the floor and required extensive clean up every time it was used.
The property manager was very responsive and wanted to make sure we had a good stay but given all the problems I can't give this property more than 3 stars.

The location of the property was great. Easy access to lots of parks, eating establishments and grocery. The owner was very responsive. As indicated in other reviews however, this property needs updating. The sofa was very dirty (especially the top where people lean their heads against) and several springs felt like they were broken. The property listed a hot tub under popular amenities, but when we arrived we were informed that was a mistake and there was no hot tub. The owner did provide more amenities that originally listed such as laundry detergent and a few spices.

The house was in a good location and had great common areas and back yard. Could use updates but then price would go up

Our family used to live in the West End, and we were looking to stay in a quieter neighborhood for our annual Portland trip. This property was spotless with plenty of room for our family of 3. Truthfully, we weren't in the condo very much as we had a packed agenda. It's about a 20-25 minute walk to the Old Port but there are plenty of shopping and restaurants nearby in the West End (within 5-10 minute walk). Having laundry on site was GREAT!
Property could use a few upgrades. Towels and linens were threadbare with noticeable bleach stains. Some of the furniture is well-worn. The master closet didn't open at all so we didn't have a place to hang anything. The A/C worked fine, but it was confusing to figure out. Minor stuff - not deal breakers by any means.
The neighborhood is quiet and easily accessible. Thank you for a great stay.

The space was comfortable, attractive and well-supplied. The outdoor, fenced-in patio was a great space that enhanced our stay. The location was convenient to everything in Portland.

The pros:
Fabulous location - a quiet neighborhood in close proximity to great shops and restaurants. Tristan, the host, is very responsive and communicative. The kitchen is well-stocked with plates, cups, flatware, and cooking utensils.
The air conditioning is great and customizable to each bedroom. The outdoor space is fantastic.
The cons:
Amenities - there aren't many. It was made very clear that there were only limited quantities of toilet paper (2 rolls,) paper towels (1 roll) and trash bags (1.) The kitchen lacked basic pantry items which would have been nice to have -- sugar, spices, etc.
The property only provided 6 very worn/thin towels for showering. There is a beautiful washer/dryer in the unit, but no detergent which made the quantity/quality of the towels that much more frustrating.
The furniture and the property itself is all quite worn down. While the space was clean, it is in dire need of new paint and freshening up in the bathrooms. There was mold in the caulking around the sink in the upstairs bathroom and the toilet seats have signs of wear and tear. The sofa in the living room is very lived-in and has some stains. In the main living area, there are not any lamps, only harsh overhead lighting, which made it difficult to relax. The master only had outlets on one side of the bed.
Had I known that the space was lacking in these areas, I would not have booked this property. It was like booking a room at the Marriott only to arrive at a Motel 6.

The property has a great location! We were able to walk to many of the places we wanted to visit or had a short drive. Ruski’s, the pub a block away, is a definite must! Having a designated parking spot is an added value. The four adults in our group had plenty of room and were very comfortable.

Christmas in Portland
Came to Portland to rendezvous with family for Christmas and this was the perfect home base. Never got the PIN code to-get in but Tristan got back to us almost immediately and after that no problems. It was very nice

Inaccurate property description and location isn’t everything
The property description touts “2 Bath” and sleeps six, but there is actually only 1 full bathroom. Had we known there was only 1 shower available for 6 adults, we would not have booked this property. While the location was convenient to the waterfront and activities, there were unfortunately other issues which were very disappointing. We did not receive the detailed check in instructions until 2 hours prior. Detailed check out instructions and requirements weren’t shared until after we had left in the morning (2.5 hours before the 10 am checkout). The owner did respond to questions we had during the process and helped us check in 1.5 hours early, that was appreciated… although the lock box and code were initially confusing.
All 3 bedrooms were missing curtains! At least 1 didn’t even have a curtain rod, so there was no privacy. We had to hang towels and sheets to cover the other windows. Anytime we flushed the upstairs toilet, the pipes in the home vibrated loudly and shook the walls, even causing the upstairs sink to come on! Not quite the wake up call we all would prefer.
We have stayed in numerous VRBO’s over the years, and never had these kind of issues. Very frustrating and disappointing.

Quiet comfortable West End home
Property was easy to rent, and Tristan was very responsive. Directions to check in and out were clear. The home was well equipped with all utensils, appliances for cooking (even though Portland is a foodie paradise).

Comfy Home in West End
Had some issues finding the property/parking, but once we did it was smooth sailing. Host was very helpful and answered immediately to my phone calls. Cozy, fenced in back patio that the dogs loved. Downstairs has a great open floor plan with ample seating. Bedrooms were spacious and the beds surprisingly comfy. 2 reserved parking spots were invaluable. Walk to main downtown was a bit lengthy, but totally doable. Would definitely stay at property again.

Quiet location and comfortable stay
Two families all 18+ Plenty of room. Nice kitchen. Great patio in private wooden fenced in area. Short walk to food and shops downtown. Townhouse is in an older part of town and super quiet. Very relaxing.
