Swimming pool broken

Location was great

Great location, okay apartment, unresponsive owners.

The location was fantastic. We liked the layout of the apartment, it was perfect for our family of 3. No signs of cockroaches and very little ants (only a couple when food was being prepared). Plenty of towels which were swapped for clean ones half way through the stay, the sheets were also changed.

The apartment was very musty, there was no ventilation aside from opening the windows which isn't an option at night with a young child. We asked for a fan for the room from the owners, the message was read but there was no reply (this wasn't the first time we had no response from the owners). There was a couple of plug sockets which were loose to the point of pushing through the wall when trying to plug something in. The kitchen side was hanging off, which is a very easy fix with some super glue.

Nice place shame about the support.

We like the cleaness of the apartment and its quiet location.

There was no safe, there was no reception staff and WhatsApp contact was unhelpful. The living room light was hanging down and only attached by the wires.

very nice place!

The location is exceptional. The place is well connected to the city center, and restaurants and there is a breathtaking view from the premises. Few bottles of water is a very nice touch. In general, we enjoyed our stay, i recommend this place to my friends. Initially, we stayed in the southern part of the island in a similar type of accommodation which made a better overall impression. I would suggest few things: - to replace the sofa and core of the bed. The current ones are very shaky and feel unstable when you sit on them. - install a net against insects at least on one window, otherwise, it is impossible to open it in the evening without letting an army of insects inside - place some long-lasting essentials in the kitchen like salt, pepper, coffee Overall it was a very good apartment but i believe few small improvements can make it superb!

Very good

The appartment is very cosy and clean, with all needed appliances. The location ia very good. The staff is very helpful.

The pool was closed. The appartment is located at the pop corn beach, which is interesting, but you can't really get into the water there as there are a lot of rocks in the sea.

Mold and bugs

The location is good and the kitchen is well equipped

There was mold on the curtains in the bedrooms and the entire apartment smelled like mold. There were little bugs on the double bed, coming out of the bedframe, while beds also had other peoples hair on them. We requested a new apartment or a refund but staff only agreed to clean the apartment again...

Very good

The location is fab, right next to the beach with a couple of bars close by. We enjoyed the short walk into town every evening.

The bed was a bit soggy in the middle. The apartment would benefit from air con or ceiling fans in each room.

Misleading description

The location, although be prepared for a bit of a walk into the town. The Sunset bar next door does good cocktails and the Sahara bar a bit further down the beach has nice food.

The pictures of the apartment suggest that you can see the beach and the pool - you absolutely cannot see either. The property managers have a second apartment on the top floor and the pictures are taken from that viewpoint. The outside space is disappointing with nothing other than table & chairs. If you want a lounger then you need to be at the pool. It would not be a great place to be staying if we had children because there is nowhere for them outside the property other than the pool which is not within sight of the accommodation. The pool has a notice up saying that it’s closed, however the maintenance guy said it was safe to use (which we did). There are cockroaches in the apartment - I am a regular traveler to the Canaries and appreciate that there will be roaches, but not actually inside the apartment AND IN THE BED. We ended up buying cans of spray, blocking all sinks and the shower drain and sleeping with lights on just to be sure that they weren’t getting in. A massive disappointment considering what the apartment cost, which brings me to the cost - the price paid through Booking.com is significantly more than if booking directly with the property management company, which was a shock. We could have had the top floor apartment, with terrace & views for the price we paid for this ground floor, decidedly dark apartment with no direct sunlight if we had booked direct. That’s definitely on us though, but lesson learned, do more research. The mattress wasn’t comfortable, as other reviewers have also said, in my opinion it’s the cheapest memory foam that IKEA sell and it’s quite hard. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper provided, and this was only replenished with 1 extra roll after the weekly clean. If they could resolve the cockroach problem and be more honest with the pictures, particularly giving an honest impression of the outside space, then my review would have been much better.
