It was a phenomenal hotel, everything about it was perfect and the staff was excellent.
I do not have one thing I did not like.
4.3
Rooms were very clean and comfortable.
Nothing.
4.3
The location was great for the evening event.
I didn't like how many off the street people were in and out of the hotel lobby.
4.3
Close to Van Andel was the main reason in staying. I needed a phone Saturday night & the lady at the desk couldn’t have been nicer & more helpful. She was excellent. Called earlier in the week & again the lady answering was very courteous. And that’s important to me.
The rates weren’t customer friendly but it was the weekend of Alan Jackson & it was a Saturday. Thought the coffee maker in the room was a pain to figure out how to work. Twenty bucks for breakfast & three bucks for coffee was a bit much.

The location was amazing for our show at 20 Monroe live
They didn't have parking at the hotel it was across the road.
4.3
Hotel is always well maintained, clean and trendy.

The staff was very knowledgeable and just the whole experience was amazing. The bed was so comfortable and I actually got a good nights rest.
That you had to park your car a block and half away but it wasn’t the end of the world.

I was in town for a concert and the hotel location was very convenient to the venue. It was a 2 minute walk. I didn't mind paying a little more for the room because I figured it would balance itself out by the time I paid for event parking. Which is usually anywhere from $40 to $80 depending on the town. On my way to the hotel I see parking lots for $20. I travel a lot and every hotel I have stayed at has parking included. We arrived at the hotel around 6pm, checked in, and I asked the concierge what parking lot or garage we are to use. She informs me that parking is not included. I thought to myself if I would have known that, I would have stayed somewhere else for at least half the cost. The staff were pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. The hotel was very nice and clean. My friend and I continued our evening, went to the concert, and hit The Bob afterwards. The next morning I went downstairs for coffee and maybe something to eat. As I entered the continental breakfast area, a staff member told me that breakfast is $20. For that price and what was on the buffet tables, I didn't feel as though it was worth it. So I decided just to get a coffee, which was $3. We checked out around 11am. We leave the parking lot and our total for 17 hours was $55. The hotel was very nice, but being charged for every single thing that is usually free at other hotels, wasn't worth it to me.
Having to pay for parking, the continental breakfast, and even the coffee.

Great location near Van Andel arena, just a few minutes walk away and to really good restaurants.
Nice bar in the lobby area; Ashley was a great bartender and took care of my friends and their special requests.
Clean rooms and very polite staff.
Parking is validated, but at lots further from the hotel. We selected the lot that is outside of the hotel entrance, which I suspect could be owned by the hotel, but have not validated, it cost $60 for the night but was worth the cost.

Bar and DJ
Parking waaaay over priced!
I was promised $24 and charged $29
No free breakfast...for a $ 500 night stay, ridiculous
4.3
I liked the view from the room, the all glass shower with numerous shower heads, the friendly staff, and the location.
The bed was not the comfiest. And the toilet was close to the walls.
4.3
Está en una buena ubicación. Está cerca de varios restaurantes y los puntos de interés.
4.3
Clean and close/secure parking.

4.3
Comfy/clean room. Retro building in the heart of downtown.
NO ONSITE PARKING **plus** you have to pay $24 a night to park over a block away at the parking deck for a different Hotel. Kind of ridiculous.
No free coffee in the lobby, even in the morning.

Location.
Horrible weekend manager who claims her name is Theresa. Rude, lacks knowledge and a skills to handle a problem.
4.3
When we arrived the clerk Cindy I think told us that they had to move us across the street since no room was available at her location. The lobby was so loud with music from the bar area I could hardly hear her. Not a very welcoming feel
4.3
Very new and clean. Staff was friendly.
The traffic directly outside was so loud all night. Could also hear the people in the room next to us. The AC made a lot of noise turning on and off. The deadbolt to our room didn’t work. The room was very nice but also felt a bit small.
4.3
I loved the door on shower/toilet room
The bed and linens very comfortable
Very clean
I did not care for the function of kitchenette and bathroom being combined. I felt like I was brushing my teeth, applying makeup etc in the kitchen. I’d separate toilet from shower/sink/mirror instead
Was not aware of $50 incidental charge until after the fact and I inquired
Coffee/tea station quite skimpy and coffee low quality

Great location!
The parking was confusing, far, and expensive. I was there with 2 other couples and we ended up in 3 different parking structures by following their directions. That definitely needs to be addressed.
I parked in the JW guest parking, had my ticket validated at the front desk and still had to pay $40 to get out.
It’s definitely not convenient if you’re an older person, or someone in not the best health. The walk was far from all the structures,
4.3
The proximity to downtown.
Seemed like you could hear all the other guests louder than normal.
4.3
I liked the rooms, it was very nice
I didn't like the fact you had to pay $19 per person for breakfast, when you can just walk walk up a couple of blocks to biggby for under $20.
4.3
The location was great
The temperature in the room would not regulate, and the AC was loud. Basically the AC kicks on and rattles for 10 minutes, freezes you out; shuts off and instantly the thermostat climbs and your hot again. This will keep you up all night. Also, the bathroom is tiny, and the door is on a track leaving a 2 inch open gap all around, so there is zero privacy to use the bathroom if you are there with another person.
4.3
The room was very nice and clean.
Despite emails stating check-in was guaranteed by 4 pm we were told at arrival that they'd have to put us on a wait list in order to get into a room like we reserved (single king). This would have made us late us to our event since we had no way to get ready without our room. We ended up waiting >30 min before my spouse complained to staff and we were given a room.
Other than that the hotel was nice.
4.3
This place was absolutely amazing. I loved the lobby bar and how it turned into a club at night. Food was amazing. Drinks were amazing. The only suggestion I could make was to add a mirror above the desk in the rooms to do hair and make up or someone else is in the bathroom.
4.3
Parking was poor
4.3
it was walking distance to all bars and restaurants
bedrooms were a little small
4.3
Didn't have breakfast. Extremely close to venue we had tickets for.
Disappointed with the noise and language coming from another room that seemed to go on forever.
4.3
location
loud DJ music playing in the lobby. can’t park on location.
4.3
Very convenient for the concert we went to. we could walk there
I didn’t not having its own parking lot.
4.3
close to a venue we were going to
no complaints
4.3
Great location, friendly staff. Great small plates and fun bar for hanging out and people watching
All the fees every night was an additional $50 added to my stay (taxes, fees and parking) not notes on reservation. This add $200 to my travel budget that was not expected or planned for.
4.3
When we arrived there were no muffins, danish, bread, eggs, yogurt. Attendant did not replenish any items but was friendly. Price was much too high for cold cereal and coffee.
Signage for items needs to be improved. Much too small to read and obviously handled too much. This Marriott is better suited for a younger crowd. Lobby and bar scene extremely lively.
4.3
I loved the location. Perfect for our venue.
Was noisy at night
