The location, the views
Breakfast needs to go to 10-11 instead of 9

Great location, close to many restaurants.
Unsure of where to park at first and it was also a bit confusing with the lobby being on the second floor.

the location was perfect, room was huge.
the staff was rude. it was awkward.

Proximity to everything, we attended a concert at the Van Andel and the walk was fast, and restaurants were close.
We had to ask for extra towels and coffee mugs even though the reservation stated it was for 5 people.

Good location, nice staff, clean
Window was awesome, until it was time to sleep, blind did not block out any light and it was super bright in the room. Between that and the bed being way too uncomfortable, I ended up sleeping on the couch to try to sleep.

The location of the hotel was perfect for walking around downtown. The room was so spacious and incredibly clean. The beds were comfortable and the whole place was super clean. Loved that you had to use your room key to even get into the lobby. That felt very safe. Would Definitely stay here again.

The hotel was ideally located in Downtown. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was nice.
It wasn't the hotel's fault, but guests in the neighbouring room decided to party all night on the Saturday. After giving them several warnings the hotel evicted them at 3.30am. As I had arranged a wake-up call for 4.10am I got no sleep that night. The manager gave me a credit for that night, but I could have done with at least some sleep that night.

It's right downtown, the loation is very good. The beds are very comfortable, you really feel this place is fairly new. The breakfast was pretty good as well, with a lot of variety offered, though I wouldn't mind a few more non-sweet options.
The clocks next to the beds had USB-slots, which was a life-saver, because I did not have any US-adapters with me and that allowed me to charge my phone anyways.
Downtown has it's cons as well. It tends to get fairly loud on the street at night, expecially on the weekend. Also, 30$/night for parking is kind of a rip off.

Beautiful hotel in downtown GR. Gorgeous on the inside, 3 fully functioning elevators, a small café that had Starbucks coffee and snacks in the morning and a sports bar for the evening. The most comfortable bed and sheets ever... The room was clean and large, loved the living room / pull out couch area. Big Samsung TVs with streaming services, a mini fridge and Keurig coffee maker that used compostable Kcups. AC worked great and the showers where huge, updated and really nice. They had nice shampoo, conditioner and body wash too. LOVED the little porch off the room, watched fireworks right from our balcony, a thunderstorm and a car accident all in our stay :D. I usually stay further into downtown at another hotel but really loved the Embassy Suites. The pool was really nice and clean, they also had adult swim from 10-11 pm which we loved! The hot tub was indoor / outdoor which was also really cool. Breakfast was not the best tasting but had bacon, eggs, sausage and waffles, and was great to have available.
PARKING! The parking garage was $20 a night... WAY too expensive for an extended stay. If there wasn't the ridiculous parking fee, I would be staying here instead of my usually place when I am in GR for work. The parking garage was horrible. Tight, small and the line to leave was always long and took forever. You have to keep your key card, even after you check out. People couldn't figure out how to work it so leaving the hotel was always a pain. Of course nobody there to help. Parking ruined the whole experience.

The breakfast was amazing! It was well stocked with so many options. The location is great, we were able to get every where we needed to go by walking. I wish the parking fee was included in your room rate, but it's nice to have somewhere to park so close and the process in and out of the gate is nice. The rooms are updated and a good size, comfortable beds, and nice amenities. We enjoy the pool and work out rooms.

Great location
Room was very small and felt old

It was close to everything we needed and short trip to the beach. Very friendly neighborhood. Staff was outstanding!! Couldn’t have been friendlier and more accommodating!
The room we booked was not like pictures, original pictures featured a kitchenette and when we got there pictures were gone and kitchenettes was not advertised on property. There was a mini fridge and no microwave and room did not have a walk in shower as advertised either. The city view was not very pretty either, a lot of parking garages and dirty rooftops but not terrible. Breakfast was out of forks and a lot of food and hour before closed. Fryer was out for restaurant at night as well. Parking was on street for pay per hour or $35 a day at hotel. For price we paid it should be included. Air kicked on and was loud and woke us up several times a night.

The hotel is in a great location, very central to downtown Grand Rapids. Our room was modern and spacious. Especially enjoyed the rooftop garden view and the room darkening blinds.

Clean and great location. the staff was very friendly. The bar was a fun place to hang out after being out all day.

Aesthetics, ease of use of facilities, and location.
Poor communication from a staff member regarding a hotel policy, very unprofessional and jarring.

my room smelled like smoke and cologne almost the entire time i was there. especially in the bathroom.

Everything was mediocre when you think it would be nice for the price you’re paying. Only parked overnight and was still $38.
