The staff were amazingly helpful and were always there for us. They even gave us a lift for free to the nearby diving centre for our early morning dives! The room itself was super comfy and clean, really great value for money.
It was a bit hard to reach, and down a creepy alley, but this did mean it was very quiet at night!

Next to the harbour and in a tiny street. You won’t be disturbed. Place is clean and has AC. The owners are really friendly always joking and trying to make your stay unforgettable.
They offered to take me on a tour of the island and even better I could do snorkling with them. Wayan is a fantastic host and I will for sure repeat if I go back!

Very clean and comfortable for a short stay. Close to the ferry which was convenient. Lovely hosts. Scooter available to rent on site. Nice hot shower. I would recommend.

If you want to enjoy Nusa Penida for 1 or 2 nights, this is the place. Firstly because it is within walking distance of the port, and secondly because it is very close to everything restaurants, supermarkets and the beach to watch the sunset. The accommodation is simple, but compatible with the price paid. The owners are amazing and found a driver to take us to all the attractions for a fair price. This tourist support with tips and guidance made all the difference for us to arrive very early, especially at Kelingking Beach, and take our photos without anyone. Thank you Dede and your family!

Me and a friend stayed two nights at the hotel. The location is very good since it is to two minutes walking of the port. A few days before arriving they wrote me and booked us the boat ticket to go from Bali to Nusa Penida. Also, upon arrival they helped us to find a driver and to organize a route around the island to visit the best beaches and points of interest. They are very hospitable and make sure that guests are comfortable and make the most of their stay in Nusa Penida. The rooms are comfortable, clean and have air conditioning. Above all I would highlight their kindness, and all the information and advice (from their local perspective) they gave us to visit the island.

The owner of the guest house, Wayan, is the most hospitable and nicest man you’ll meet on the island. He shares stories, always looks out for you, cares for you genuinely like family and often remind you to be safe when exploring the island. He also recommends the best places to dine at and helps in whichever ways he can. It was such a joy chatting with him! The room was HUGE - perfect for 2 to 3 travellers with ample space to put luggages and dive equipment. The location of the guest house cannot be MORE IDEAL than anywhere else. It was THE MOST strategically located accomm (1 min walk to the nearest harbour), in the middle of the main road which can bring you anywhere in the same amt of time. It was perfect.
Toilet sewage is a little choked sometimes but the shower was good! Has hot water all the time and comes with a rainfall shower even!

It was conveniently located for us, since we were
diving with DPM which was very close to the guesthouse. There are lots of restaurants, supermarkets, ATM, etc around. The beds and sheets were good, and the AC worked very well. The manager and his wife were always very nice, and we could rent a scooter from them at good daily price (75.000 rupees).
In general it was quite disappointing to be honest. It is true that it is not expensive, but compared to all other places we stayed in Indonesia, it was not great value for money. Since it’s a guest house, the family started their life at around 6:30 each morning, with no regards of the guests, so between that and the very annoying rooster next door, we never slept beyond 7 am. We stayed 4 nights and our room was never cleaned, they didn’t even offer us new towels or toilet paper, I had to ask for some. The shower is almost on top of the toilet and the water takes long to go, so the bathroom is usually all wet and kind of smelly. There is also no reception, so if you don’t see someone around, it is not easy to get help or information.
Also, be aware of which port you need to get to, because there is one port like 5 minutes walking from the property, but we arrived to another one that was like 25 minutes by car, and it was not a cheap ride.
Disclaimer: from what we’ve heard, the standards in Nusa Penida are usually lower than in Bali, the gilis and other places in Indonesia, so my advise would be to spend a little more if you want a nice stay, or just adjust your expectations.

Great location near the harbour. Wayan and his wife were lovely and did a lot to assist me. I booked a snorkeling trip and a day tour with them and they were both great.
Barking dogs nearby…

The hosts were so lovely!
The sounds of chickens and dogs in the morning/night and the sound of fajr prayer woke us up most mornings :(

Friendly staff and amazing location. The rooms are kind of hidden away next to a temple and the whole place feels unique and authentic. The shower was great and the breakfast menu is either scrambled eggs or a banana pancake.
The bed was uncomfortable and there was a comforter on the bed without sheets, which seems unhygienic. Furthermore the bathroom was strongly in need of an update: there was tape on the sink and the shower curtain was worn out.

The family running the guest house were very welcoming and helped us with everything we needed. Room was large and comfortable. Booked a day tour of the west of the island with them which we enjoyed
No access to drinking water which meant having to keep buying plastic bottles at the shop 👎🏻

really near to the harbour. Possibility to book ferry to/from Bali directly with the hotel. They also can book snorkeling excursions to see manta-ray, turtles and tropical fishes. They also can rent you a scooter.

The homestay was comfortable and had everything you needed. It was nice to stay within a local community. We also organised bikes for the day through the owners and they were great. Thank you for our stay.

Exceptional staff. The owner helped us book a snorkel trip, a ferry ticket, and even drove us to the dock on her scooter for the snorkeling. she was so helpful and welcoming. there were even scooter rentals available, which we did not need. The room itself was also wonderful. Very clean and comfortable. Shower was nice with pressure and hot water. WiFi worked very well. Location was very nice, close to everything - restaurants, the shore, and the ferry. Literally 5 min or less walk to all of these.
Nothing!

price is okey, location is good, but road to house is rough for bikes, not reachable by car
shower drain wasn’t working well, cleaning( room service) only after 3rd night of stay. but overall nothing to do at Nusa Penida more than 2 days.

The owners were great - they rented us bikes, sorted our snorkeling trip (Wayan really made the trip with his underwater camera, highly recommended) and were just all round friendly.
Nothing of note.

The room was clean and big enough. It was helpfull to rent a scooter from the owner.
We arrived on a Friday and by day we could hear from the room the music from a building nearby where there was a wedding party, in the evening and very early in the morning the entire praying from a mosque which was very close.

Great location, within walking distance from the harbour, close to a few cafes. brilliant Wi-Fi, lovely family.
Shower didn’t work very good, but still did the job.

the hotel was pretty and staff were very helpful
location is awful, very far away from everything and the track to get to the hotel is very bad.
they were building new rooms in the hotel right in front of our room. So the views were of the building …
Very expensive, we paid 54€ for 1 night!

I liked the proximity to one of the harbours and the beach (however, not so great beach). The room itself is nice, comfortable, spacious and clean, including the bathroom. The staff was helpful with organising trips etc. Even the kettle was there!
First of all, A LOT of street dogs around the property, which made it impossible to leave the place after it was dark (they attacked us one night). Also, the owner of the guest house is also the owner of the Il Quattro restaurant nearby, which he recommended. I got such bad food poisoning after visiting that place that I spent my entire stay on Nusa Penida stuck in bed/bathroom. Just go to other places :) Additionally, we got used to noisy homestays in Indonesia, but this one was particularly noisy because of roosters around. They were extremely close and loud every night, starting at 4am. We didn't sleep well.
