We stayed in the apartment where there is clearly a soundproofing problem. For two nights we couldn't sleep because we heard absolutely everything that happened in the room above, especially annoying was the ceiling creaking every time people above us walked or moved around the room. Although it was late for people to walk around, they were not behaving poorly or shouting, they were just moving around in their room. We believe that good soundproofing should be enough to avoid this problem, specially in a "spa". The only bright side is that the owner offered us to stay in one of their cabins for the third night to compensate, but we decided to cut our stay short and find another place...We find it really hard to believe we are the first ones pointing this problem out. Obviously, we do not recommend staying in the apartment, specially if there is someone staying on the top floor!

A very clean and spacious room with en-suite walk-in shower. The king-size bed was very comfortable (if you could sleep through the noise - see 'dislikes'). The separate small private kitchen that was reasonably well-equipped with a 2-ring electric hob, microwave, mini counter-top oven/grill, toaster & fridge and a selection of utensils - certainly enough to prepare evening meals for 2 people.
Being a ground floor apartment, it was subject to a lot of noise from the upstairs occupants moving around. The floorboards cracked & creaked loudly and footsteps thudded every time someone moved. These woke me on our first night and lasted until well after midnight, then, when I had finally got back to sleep, again around 2.30am when someone went to the bathroom. Every night, the thudding & creaking went on for at least half an hour - usually going beyond (sometimes well beyond) the 11pm 'quiet time' curfew indicated on a sign on the door. In all, I managed 2 uninterrupted nights sleep during a 7 night stay - not what you would expect from a place offering 'spa facilities' (which we didn't try).
Some of the advertised features of the room didn't quite match those listed - there was no tumble dryer and the washing machine was broken; however, a laundry service was offered for £10 a load. Not a problem for us on this occasion but future bookers should bear this in mind. The room was said to have a view and, to be fair, it did - of the former farm stable yard. Nice if you like concrete & stone, but not quite the green fields of Derry.

i liked the place but thought 65 was a bit dear as you still got to pay additional fees to use the spa or hot tub
additional fees to use hot tub or spa and think they should have a lamp in bedroom for reading as found it a bit dark to do this

The host was really warm and welcoming, she really is a credit to herself and I'm sure is one of the reasons people make return visits. The room was lovely, we had such a beautiful view and the little fridge was such a nice touch. There were so many homely touches that made us feel comfortable instantly. The house is stunning overall.
We weren't aware you had to book the hot tub in advance, but this is something we will know for the future!
