Newly renovated Carmel-by-the-Sea cottage in a tree-lined neighborhood framed by beautiful vistas of the nearby Santa Lucia Mountains. Conveniently located near shopping, dining and two Carmel beaches.
The 4 bedroom, 3.5-bath home has sweeping views from the main floor and deck of the mountains that border nearby Carmel Valley.
This 1,800-square-foot residence is conveniently located within a 7 minute walk to two Carmel beaches. It's also just a 3 minute walk to the famous Carmel Mission Basilica Museum and to Carmel Mission Ranch where you can enjoy dinner or Sunday brunch with an ocean and pasture view of grazing sheep.
Downtown Carmel is an easy 10 minute walk passing wine tasting rooms, restaurants, galleries, Nielsen’s gourmet deli and the Sunset Center. Point Lobos State Natural Reserve hiking area is just a five minute drive from the house. Ten minutes by car you will find popular attractions such as the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row and Asilomar, and half an hour to Big Sur. It's also near golfing and sightseeing in Pebble Beach®.
Living Spaces
The living room has whitewashed vaulted ceilings, comfortable seating with a plush linen sofa, feather/down pillows, two white Italian leather swivel chairs plus a large storage ottoman. There is a dramatic handcrafted console, Caracole designer Windsor-style chair, Gray Malin photography and a 55 inch HDTV. Just beyond are views of the nearby mountains through large windows or from the upper deck, which has patio seating and a gourmet gas grill.
Downstairs is a small library under the stairs and a TV room with a 50 inch HDTV; the sofa here converts to a queen sleeper.
Kitchen and Dining
The gourmet kitchen has seating around a built-in table with Cambria quartz countertops, white custom cabinetry, and high-end Wolf appliances with plenty of storage space, built-in seating and a window seat overlooking the garden. A pullout faucet and deep sink complement a gas cooktop, wall oven, microwave and high-tech refrigerator and a Keurig coffee and tea maker. Well-equipped for extended stays!
Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Upstairs, Bedroom #1 is a primary suite with a gas fireplace, 43" TV, Tempur-Pedic Supreme King mattress and en suite bath with gold fixtures. The bathroom has a cedar-lined closet, a wall-mounted shaving mirror, dual sinks, quartz counter-tops and marble tile in the shower.
Also on this level is Bedroom #2 with a full size bed. Nearby is a half-bath/laundry room with washer and dryer.
Just a few steps up, Bedroom #3 - Queen bed, dual closets and en suite bath with a shower. There is a low spot in the ceiling when going up or down the stairs accessing this room. People over 5'5 or so will need to be aware. Once past that point this pleasant room has a higher ceiling.
Downstairs, Bedroom #3 - California king bed, access to the backyard garden, a patio with comfortable seating, and a meditation area. The nearby full bathroom on this level has a shower.
Also on this level is a TV room/den with a queen sofa bed. This is a pass-through room near the bottom of the stairs.
Parking for 2 cars in the driveway. An electric vehicle charging port is available upon request. Plan to bring your cord and adapter.

This home is a monthly rental and we request that all nights of your stay are within the same calendar month. Some exceptions may be possible, with the approval of our team and the homeowner. Extended stays are often possible.

The house is about a 12-15 minute walk to Ocean Avenue or 15 minute walk to the beach (Carmel River State Beach). There is also a wonderful elementary school within a 10 minute walk with two playgrounds for children.
Overall, we were thrilled with the house, the location, and overall experience. Would book again!
