Gute Lage, nettes Personal, nostalgisch schön, aber ...

Ein schönes nostalgisches Gebäude mit ausreichend Parkplätzen und gutem Frühstück. Der elektrische Kamin gefiel uns, da es doch nachts kühl war.

Leider haben wir wohl das schlechteste und dunkelste Zimmer (104) bekommen. Wir hatten aufgrund der aktiven Kommunikation des Hotels via mail im Vorfeld höhere Erwartungen gehabt. Mag sein, dass das richtige Zimmer ein anderes Urteil ergeben hätte. Das Zimmer entsprach zwar dem Foto der Buchung, aber es leider zu dunkel und ohne Ausblick, da Vorbeigehende hineinschauen können, wenn man die Vorhänge nicht verschließt.

Park once and easy walk to everything!

Heated bathroom floor! Fresh cookies, soda and bottled water daily in the lobby, along with hot breakfast and wine & cheese in afternoons. Very Clean! Excellent location!

Pre-dawn wake ups from garbage collection on Tuesday morning, and crying dog guests. Construction ongoing without warning upfront. Very low water pressure. Shower was more of a trickle.

Beautiful hotel with charm and comfort - exceeds expectations.

Beautiful atmosphere, kind and attentive service, very comfortable and clean room, tasteful decoration and furniture.

Not much to say. It got a bit noisy at night with guests in the room above mine. I could hear every step.

A fine experience.

The location is terrific for walking to shops and restaurants in Carmel. The breakfasts and happy hour were very well done. The management and staff were friendly, knowledgeable, informative and efficient. A plumbing issue arose that necessitated our move to another room and the switch was done with minimal inconvenience. We will stay at Coachman's on our next visit to Carmel. Warren Peabody

Pleasant place to stay & convenient for access to Carmel

The room was spacious, well appointed and exceptionally clean, recently repainted I think. The bed was also immensely comfy. The happy hour every day was a nice touch, a good place to chat with other guests, get local tips & nice food. Breakfast was fresh, varied and delicious.

Daily housekeeping at that price point is expected but we were informed after booking that it's not offered. I doubt anyone will use the hot tub as it needs cleaning and the dirt you can see in it put us off even trying it or the sauna. They are doing renovations/construction right now in some rooms which can be noisy, they do start early, it was close to us and I feel they should state that at booking or at latest at check-in. Also be aware parking is tight, low ceiling & limited so you may be required to park on the street.

Exceptional

We loved our stay, the rooms were lovely, the hotel was in a perfect position and the staff were lovely and very accommodating There was plenty of choice for breakfast, and we particularly liked the add-on wine and nibbles in the afternoon.

I am struggling to find anything negative to say as we all loved our stay very much.

incredible, very cozy! one of our favourite stays in California!

it was super cute! the fire in the room was incredibly cozy . I loved the wine o’clock with all the cheese. also the breakfast was amazing!

there is no lift, but it was not an issue for us. also the jacuzzi and sauna were locked up and you needed to ask a key from the management, if we didn’t need to ask, we would have probably used it ;)

we can’t wait to return to the Coachmens in the perfect place to spend our three days

The location is close to everything in downtown Carmel. It happened to be near both restaurants. We have dinner reservations for the staff was wonderful and they had a delightful breakfast and wine and cheese hour.

Ground floor room was quite noisy (especially in the early morning with garbage trucks collecting garbage right next to our window), pretty expensive

Wonderful staff, location, and amenities!

I love the European charm of the faculty and the friendliness of the staff! The included breakfasts and wine and cheese were a delight. The location of this Inn is right in the heart of downtown so it is easy to walk everywhere.

Our heater made a dripping noise late at night.

The parking was a bit tights at times. There was a trash can and recycling bin right outside our window. The passersby were a bit loud too.

Location. Friendliness of staff and particularly Karen who was a font of all knowledge and good fun! Room was comfortable and just what we needed for our four day stay. The wine and nibbles each afternoon was a nice touch and well organised, as indeed was the complementary breakfast each morning. Relaxing!

Conveniently located with overnight parking. Lovely neighborhood.

Location is excellent for checking out all of Carmel on foot. The staff was helpful, we were given the wrong key and they walked us back to our room to make sure the new key worked. The wine/cheese afternoon spread is a nice touch. Breakfast was very nice. Simple egg fritatta, baked goods and a nice array of fruit. Good coffee and juice. The courtyard is nicely secluded.

Tuesday morning the trash pick up was at 6:30am and was so loud, rolling the dumpster back and forth went on forever. Very limited seating outside of the breakfast room for all the guests to share.

Fantastic boutique hotel experience

Location is superb. Is a lot more plush & boutique feeling than the website suggests. Afternoon cheese & wine was a really nice touch.

Only a shame that we didn’t get adjoining rooms.

Very comfortable

the room was beautifully decorated, very clean and the fire was a lovely feature. The breakfast was superb.

The property said check in would be available at 4pm but when we arrived at that time we were told the rooms weren’t ready. We had to leave our luggage at reception as we had to immediately travel to Monterey to catch a whale watching tour. The staff did kindly take our bags up to our rooms but it took us a while to find some of the bags as they had put them in a storage cupboard.

street noise did drift in because we were on the street side and kept our windows open but it was minor compared to the amazingness of this place
