A pleasant place to stay

Excellent location, very cute hotel. Friendly staff, and walking distance to shops, cafes and the beach.

The room was really cold at night, and I would have appreciated an extra duvet in the room especially for the winter months. It's nice that there is breakfast in the form of pastries, muffins and coffee, but it's not a traditional hotel breakfast.

We love staying here!

The room was extremely comfortable with lots of space and a charming table setting next to the window.

The single-use cutlery, plates and prepackaged food items at breakfast create a lot of waste. There are no glasses in the room, only paper cups. We now bring our own plates, cups, fruit etc. toast a couple of bagels and picnic in the room at the charming table.

Comfortable location near the beautiful white sands beach!

We loved the location -- just a few blocks from the beautiful white sands beach! And steps from interesting shops and restaurants -- and the famous Carmel Bakery!

Price seemed a bit high....

Room was clean, staff attentive

Bathroom lighting was not good for putting on make-up. Option for turning on brighter lighting would be good. Full length mirror would be nice--perhaps inside closet door. My room did not have a refrigerator.

The hotel environment is very good, our room just on the side of the road, the location is superb, the staff is also very friendly

Delivers the goods for the experience of the Carmel Beach stay

The bottom line is the location is amazing and the rooms are comfortable it doesn't need to be a big resort type Of bibe to be extremely effective. Definitely will stay Again.

Room was a little chilly even with the heater on , not THAT bad it was 45 out tho, and TV is due for upgrade.

We love Carmel and would definitely stay here again.

The location is perfect. It’s between the beach and the town on the main road, so everything is easily accessible. We parked our car and didn’t use it again until we left. A block away is a coffee shop and a fantastic bakery, with so many wonderful food options and incredible art galleries everywhere. The place itself is cute and very clean with lots of flowers and a blue and white motif. Although our room was facing the street it was still quiet and the bed was comfortable. There was a mini fridge and coffee maker in the room. No microwave though. The shower had super hot water (appreciated!) A light breakfast was included (cereal, yogurt, pastries). Overall a great place to stay!

Being January, it was really cold and our room was quite drafty around the windows. We kept the shutters closed, the heater setting up and were very glad to have the lovely fireplace as well!

Would definitely go back!

Great location within easy reach of most places including beach. Obliging staff who extended our checkout to noon without a fuss. Complimentary continental breakfast. Very helpful lady in charge.

No mini fridge in room. No daily room cleaning service for less than 3 night stay.

Carmel by the Sea a perfect place to come enjoy your honeymoon

loved the location! Our cottage was very cute, clearly a 1990's vibe which is fine as it was clean, and staff were very friendly.

Great romantic get away location.

Location is outstanding and the rooms are like those in Europe. Really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast - staff are very helpful.

A quaint, adorable inn convenient to the beach, downtown Carmel, shopping and restaurants.

The location is in the heart of downtown Carmel and walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. The inn is very quaint, the gardens are lovely and staff is very helpful.

Parking can be difficult as there are no assigned spaces for the inn. We were able to find convenient parking spaces during the busy Labor Day weekend. Traffic around the inn can be heavy due to downtown and the beach being right there. Those outweigh parking issues.

Hard to park, no a/c, not as close to the beach as I was led to believe, very hard mattress, should advertise continental breakfast. otherwise assume more.
