I loved this little motel. It offers cottage rooms very well kept and romantic. The locations is perfect (a few steps from the beach and a few steps from Carmel's city center. It is close to restaurants, shops and bars. The personell is super nice and we appreciated the coffees and cokies in the morning. The internet worked well, the bed was very confy and the bathroom clean and neat. I would go back
A bit too expensive, given the season?

The central location

Room was very comfortable, spacious and quiet. Access to ice, tea water and a microwave was very convenient. The ground are lovely and the location was perfect! Quiet neighbourhood but only 5 minutes walk to center and beach. Very friendly and helpful staff.
The price of my room (reserved well in advance) was reasonable for Carmel in July.
The breakfast was for me pointless- croissants and cake, with water, coffee or tea. Nothing nourishing/ healthy. Although the breakfast room was quite nice. I did enjoy a piece of cake that was served in the afternoon- nice touch after time on the beach.
The bathroom was pretty old, but clean and functional.

a lovely quaint small hotel with rooms consisting of individual wooden buildings. Lovely staff and a welcoming reception room where they serve hot drinks and delicious pastries for breakfast and in the afternoon .
some of the rooms are in the roof with very low ceilings - we stayed in “The Palm”and banged our heads a few times

I loved all the flowers were in bloom and felt such cozy vibes. the location was amazing walking distance to dinner or the beach. parking was super easy. the bathrooms in room were really nice!
the bedrooms are outdated buts besides the decor this was awesome

boutique , clean and great location
small request - see if you can add a kettle in all rooms since reception and room service isn’t 24/7

The staff were great and helped me out by letting me use a mixing bowl. I had to make frosting for a birthday cake and forgot a mixing bowl. Really appreciated that!
Our room had three levels and the only heater was at the top level. Heat rises and that means the bathroom on the bottom level was super chilly. I would not recommend our room, but liked the overall inn.

Bed was very comfortable, staff are great, and I like the living room and outdoor area.
I missed not being able to make coffee in my room.

great location to enjoy the town
although it was clean and everything seemed to work, the property seemed quite old and a bit run down- breakfast offered limited (and not so great) choices, only one option for coffee (not a good one)

The bed mattress was comfortable and clean.
I should have known better than to book a 2 star inn. We paid $400 plus per night and expected more. First, the room! Dirty carpet with large stains, hodge podge of furniture from a garage sale most likely, no bathroom amenities such as cotton swabs, etc. and only one tp roll, no housekeeping unless requested. Breakfast was just average. Better to skip and enjoy coffee in town. I had the feeling that this inn is ready to close and we were the last customers or survivors! I am 63, have traveled extensively and have stayed in all types of lodging. This was one of the most disappointing properties I have ever stayed at. SAD!

Location
Staff unfriendly. Breakfast mean. Room facility for recharging phones etc either unaccessible or broken: socket on skirting board beside desk broken, sockets behind chest of drawers and fridge unreachable. Inn as a whole shabby: needs repair and repainting throughout.

Lovely room, comfy bed, breakfast options included, handy for the beach and town.

The bed pillows were acceptable. It was clean.
What a joke and a great disappointment, this place charges the same as a 4 star in London yet it's a 1980s collection of wood structures painted over many times, feeling like a simple motel. It's only cute because of the location but Carmel is cute if you slept on the street too. We expected more from the Inn. If it wasn't in Carmel it would't be anyplace special at all. Just a generic inn that serves breakfast.

Good waffle but made it myself
Butter for breakfast comes in small hard cubes that never melt on toast bread or waffles. I put waffle in microwave

The location is very close to downtown Carmel, so easy to walk to downtown for dinner and shopping, or a couple of blocks the other way to the beach. Very nice breakfast included as well!
