About this apartment rental
Enjoy your stay in this Beautiful newly renovated duplex. It has 2 bedrooms 1.5 baths and a basement which includes a table with some assorted board games, foosball table and a tv with a variety of arcade games to play.
Very warm, welcoming, and spiritually uplifting.
Location is just 1.6 miles away from the Ark Encounter. Restaurants, shopping, and groceries just a couple miles away as well.
Just a note : All Bedrooms are located upstairs along with the full bathroom with shower. The stairs leading to upper level are steep and may be difficult for people who have mobility issues.

We were very pleased with everything during our stay. We had one small, extremely minor issue. It was taken care of quickly and easily. Jacob and his wife were very quick to reply. Would stay again.

Getting rite to the point.To sum it up: keyless entry code was never sent. Arrived at 11p.m could not get in. I tried the code that i thought was code but was not. I had angry neighbors becauae i tried there place too. Wife/kids in car after 7hr drive. I called/emailed/texted manager with no luck. Finally found a # which was VRbO or someone that called the manager.She finally asnwered and said sorry because she was asleep.🙄. Cranky kids/wife going thru chemo just wanted to go to bed. Got inside, it smelled humid/moldy. Pulled out bottim bed and found a sock tissue and a bed bug.YAY! Petting zoo wasnt mentioned in description. Grabbed a blanket that smelled like feet. Good thing we took our blankets. That pretty much sums it up. I had a longer detailed story but couldn't fit it all. Area was decent for the Ark but probably wont stay there again. If you are the property manager and you arent making yourself available to answer a call, you should probably try doing something else. I bought fabreeze spay and spayed everything. Also bug spray. Thankfully I didnt get beaten up by the neighbors when i tried getting into there place when mine wasnt opening. I thought id trynext door since my door wasn't opening. Thankfully they noticed that i was entering too many #'s. You are supposed to get the code a few days or the day of, which was never sent to me. Could've given me some kind of credit for the inconvenience.

The house was exactly what we were looking for, convenient to our destination, the communication with the host was excellent, the property was easy to find, amenities were nice, the grandkids loved the game room, all areas af the house were clean and pleasantly decorated, check in and out were easy and expectations were simple and direct, beds upstairs were comfortable, kitchen was stocked better than expected, we were more than pleased with the property, the only complaint is the sofa bed, while the couch was comfortable the bed was not, the frames springs were stretched causing the mattress to have large dips, Again if you don’t need the sofa bed the rest of the property was perfectly for our vacation

If you are in town to see the Ark, there is not a better location! Beautiful quiet neighborhood, easy drive to many local restaurants and the Ark, and very comfortable house to stay in. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

Clean and comfortable. Jacob responded quickly to our questions, and even came over in person to let us in when our VRBO code wouldn’t work and Verizon wasn’t working either. The kitchen is well-supplied with cooking essentials like salt/pepper, sugar, coffee, etc. The beds were comfortable. Overall, this was a great facility

Even though the place is obviously older, it was decorated so cute! We loved the Bible scriptures on the walls and the color schemes of the rooms. The only thing I would suggest is that you provide a blanket for the kingsize bed because using only the sheet wasn't enough and using the comforter was too much. The quilt that was provided was too heavy but a light blanket would be perfect. We totally enjoyed our stay there.

This was a great place to stay as we visited the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter. It was so cozy, and everything about the house was aesthetically pleasing. The basement game room was a blast, and my kids loved that you could write on the wall.. Very thoughfully planned as a relaxing home-away-from-home.

Very prompt at responding to any issues you might have. Enjoyed the Bible verses and Bibles all around. The kiddos enjoyed being able to write on the walls in the basement!!😄😂

We had a great time at this home for our family. The kids were able to play downstairs in the game room while we relaxed from a busy day. The walls are very thin so we heard the footsteps from those next door to us, but as we were gone most the day it didn’t make much a difference for us. Kitchen had everything we needed and the two bathrooms was nice to have. Lots of bed options, although the bunk bed did squeak :-)

Property was very clean, well maintained and neighborhood was quite. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. Initially, we had a problem connecting to the WiFi but the property manager came over personally and fixed the issue. It was a simple reset of the router. They were very nice and accommodating. Bedrooms are located upstairs and if you have trouble negotiating steep stairs, you may want to consider that.
The property is convenient to the Ark Encounter, it only took 5 minutes to get there. Overall, we had an excellent stay and we appreciated the inspirational atmosphere.

The pictures are nothing like what you receive. The walls in the game room are all scribbled and graffi, smells mildewy and damp. The upstairs laminate flooring is squeaky when you walk, the bunk beds were squeaky, uncomfortable and worn out.

Kept getting an error message to access the door entry code, so we had to call the property manager to receive the code. Vrbo system did not work properly to no fault of the property manager.
Checked out one day early due to everything we had planned to due was CLOSED on Monday, again no fault of the property manager.
And we were very disappointed with the greeting we received around our vehicle by several yellow jackets and wasps that were emanating from behind the shutters and side wall of the property as well as eliminating the use of the back deck due to the same wasps and yellow jackets.
We would like a refund for one day if possible.

The duplex is well kept, with fully equipped kitchen and several sleeping options. Great opportunity for families traveling on a budget. Five minutes from the Ark Encounter.

Nice deck, quiet. Nice that it has Hulu, but there was no DVD player. We like the Christian messages.
Beds were a bit squeaky. Game room was too cold, and where were the markers?

It was effortless to check in and out. The location was very accessible and close to the Ark Encounter. Everything was clean and well maintained. Unfortunately the massage chair didn’t work, but other than that, no complaints. 😁

On a whole this property worked well for us. The stairs weren't to steep. The kitchen had all the basics to cook, but the main kitchen light fixture was out. There was a light over the stove that made the issue manageable. We did have an issue with the washer which I reported. I did feel the manager should have shared in advance the info concerning the WiFi and the TV could be found on the refrigerator when I received the code for the lock.
On a 1 to 10 I'd give it a 9.5. I would rent it again.

over all nice, however.. some things you may wish to know...
over all nice, however if you are a light sleeper, you may not sleep well, the bunk beds squeaks, the mattresses have the plastic hypo-allergenic coverings, thus if you are not used to this, again if you are a light sleeper, you hear the plastic under you when you move in the bed. My adult daughter & myself are light sleepers.
living room only has one couch to sit in, we a family of 6 brought the folding chairs up from the basement. not the most comfortable.
Owner's encourage guest to leave unopen food for next guest, sorry to says food was left when we arrived, however most of it was opened packages.
Overall compare to staying four nights in a hotel, we were happy with the stay, even with having to informed, owners that the Air conditioning went out one day. Their HVAC man was there bright and early the next moring.

This was a great place to stay for our large family and price was fair. The game room was a win for the kiddos. It was a great location to visit the Ark Encounter and not to far from other attractions. Great communication with the owners. The only downfall was that the air only went to 68 degrees, the house was warm and the basement leaked water here and their.

Close to the Arc Encounter
We chose this place because it was a better deal then local hotels. With COVID we didn’t have to run into other people. It is a nice quiet neighborhood and very close to the Arc Encounter (5 min). The communication with property owners was prompt and easy check in process. Even when I accidentally forgot one of my smaller bags owners contacted me promptly to inform me of another item being left. Very thankful to them for that. We picked it up no problem and were on our way.
