This is an old property, and all the house is dated. We came to go on a fishing trip with 5 men and a doat with a 10 beam. Dock does not accommodate boat. Florida room ac does not work. No fish cleaning station, Will not go back again

The house was just what we needed the back porch was a great sunroom and place to eat meals the dock outside was solid and even had crab traps with one already in there was not the fancy but really nice to relax and be comfortable Thank You

It was a nice size, did see one big roach in the knife drawer. And it had white dog hair all over, we there was hardly any cleaner and not enough trash bags but other that it was good.

The home is in need of some updates like mattresses and fixing loose boards on the dock, but it was sufficient for our stay. I love that everything is 1-story. Some cleaning supplies in the home would also be a nice addition for small spills, etc. Overall, we would stay here again.

Property very run down from building to porch. Porch broken boards or caved in. Very hazardous. All furniture needed replaced, worn broken, squeaky. Couldn't even use 1 bed it was so loud. Roaches everywhere. Crawling on counters and floors. Very unhappy with this VRBO.

Ty so much for having us stay in this cute little spot. Everything was just as stated - ty so much for the little laundry tabs - I forgot to bring those - maybe you could have a few coffee filters as well - I didn’t think of them either- a paper towel worked until i got to the store!! Thanks though!!

great location...a little dated but we had a blast catching crabs and fishing off the dock.

Nice place with a beach bungalow feel and cold AC. Yes, the furniture is a little old, but it's clean and comfortable. Has a pier you can easily dock your boat at. The bay is nice. We went swimming and paddle boarding. Other reviews said there is junk in the front yard, but I didn't see any. I recommend bringing some umbrella chairs for sitting outside. They have wooden andirondack chairs, but I'm not a big fan of them (personal preference). I'd stay hear again.

Retro Glamping!
What a fun place! If you are looking for a luxury condo this isn’t it. If you are looking for an affordable place to stay where dogs are allowed this is it. The furniture was old and tattered, the place was a little run down, the recliner wouldn’t decline, the drier wouldn’t work, the digital readout was broke on the microwave, and there wasn’t even a broom. A lizard was in the house. It was about like glamping. We had a blast!

Needs updates
The front outside is an eye sore, it looked like a office when you pulled up with lots of trash in the front yard. Backyard was a lot better once you come in the fence. The house itself is kinda old but still in pretty good shape. We had to kill multiple spiders inside. Well equipt kitchen with lots of pots and dishes. A lot of living room furniture was old and broken. Needs lots of updates for the money you pay.

We really enjoyed our time here. Especially since it was right on the water.
My suggestion is that the homeowner clean up around outside and garage area. When you pull in it’s a bit of an eye sore. But once you look past that it seems kinda like you went to visit your grandparents who live at the beach.

Comfortable home in a great setting
We had a lovely stay. Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds in all 3 bedrooms. Enjoyed the sunporch and deck very much. Grandkids spent a lot of time on deck fishing.

Mixed review
Pros: The layout of the house is nice. I like the way it just sort of flows to the back deck over the water. Nice mid-century charm.
End of the street location is nice and quiet. Interior of property was clean. Location on the island was good.
Cons: Junk and uncut weeds in the front yard. Mattresses need to be replaced. Dryer was broken. Communication with the owner was confusing--I just gave up on that. I was expecting a better view; that might've been me misunderstanding the property's pictures. Sunroom had a funky smell. Garage door was stuck open. The property seems out of place with the bigger, more modern houses in the neighborhood.

Nice but needs updating badly
Very dated and needs some clean up in the front yard. Furniture is falling apart and no TV in the living room. Back is nice and peaceful until the noisy neighbors show up. Decking could use replacing its soft in areas. However it was clean but expected more for the money. It would be great with some new furniture and a good updating.

Great Location
Fantastic location! Great back porch and patio. Easy walk to the beach. Everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Lots of sand and not having carpets to absorb it all was nice, easy clean up, although a doormat to wipe feet/shoes off to avoid tracking in so much would be a good addition. A small supply of shampoo/conditioner/soap, laundry detergent and dish detergent provided by Vacasa was very helpful. Coffee maker and filters provided. Unit is dated as expected and pet friendly, furnace intake had some dust and dog fur, but can’t complain. Linens and towels were all in good shape, another nod to Vacasa. It worked out great for a last minute trip with our pup. Overall kitchen/appliances and bathrooms clean! I didn’t do laundry but tried to dry a swimsuit and couldn’t get the dryer to work. Didn’t bother with contacting maintenance, wasn’t a big deal to just deal with it.

Great location
The location is great! The house is dated, but we understood that from previous reviews and did not mind. But there were several things that really should be replaced like the microwave with no display, ceiling fans that are on their last leg, the couch in the tv area that is broken & currently equipped with a sheet of plywood under the cushions & the recliner that is busted & crumbling into the floor. A lot of the furniture had water marks on it & had clearly not been replaced after flooding from the last storm.

Great Stay!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the island. The house was just what we asked for. While it was just my husband and I for this trip, it would be a great house for a family gathering or group of friends.

Perfect bungalow
One story houses are hard to find and to find one with a fenced in area for our dog was a huge plus. Perfect fit for us with morning sun and afternoon shade..next time we will definitely bring the kayak!

Loved it!
We loved the house and the water. It was a little dated, but that didn't matter. The house was very comfy and beautifully designed. It had everything you could think to need in the kitchen and wet bar. A/C worked great. It was clean. The neighbors were extremely friendly. I will stay there again next year.

We are from Mobile so we visit the island frequently. We loved the house. We especially loved the big family room with the glass windows. We met the neighbors and their dog Bella. Felt like home. Thank you for sharing your house with us.
