A lovely relaxing break in a beautiful part of Ireland

Location was excellent for sight seeing in that part of Donegal. Plenty of choice in places to dine. Everyone we met was extremely friendly and helpful. Our apartment was lovely as was our host, who greeted us on arrival and was very friendly and welcoming.

Very clean and comfortable apartment in a fantastic location!

Excellent property in an excellent location (literally at the top of the main street in Dungloe!). Everything was spotlessly clean, and all of the beds were incredibly comfortable!! The host had brought us milk and bread, and even left us some biscuits for our tea! Each of the two bedrooms had a little basket of useful items too, and shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner were left for our convenience in the bathroom! We had plenty of clean towels and toilet paper, and all of the kitchen utensils/essentials you would hope for, as well as tea, coffee, and sugar! As an extra bonus, there was a wall-mounted small flat-screen tv in each bedroom and the living room, which was connected to wifi and included streaming services (we didn't need to sign in with our own subscriptions - they were already signed in courtesy of the host! There was also ample parking and Wifi. We would return in a heartbeat - excellent value for money!

Mary was there to greet us on arrival and had some milk, bread and butter already provided for us. What a lovely lady & WOW our accommodation was immaculately presented & tastefully decorated. Mary also gave us plenty of tips for where to go or where to eat, and she told us to call her if there was anything else we wanted to know. Very spacious rooms with WiFi and also netflix on TV to keep the kids happy. Perfect location to explore this part of Donegal and the town also has a great selection of shops, bars & places to eat. Private parking at the location is also very handy. The main car park just down the road has an ESB EV charger which we used after every day's outings. I'd highly recommend staying here and we'll be back 🥰

Great hosts. Clean spacious and a great location.

Good communication throughout our booking/stay. Friendly warm welcome from Mary on arrival. Clean spacious rooms. Plenty of towels. Lots of extras like selection of breads, milks and biscuits. They even had my request for dulse waiting for me on arrival. Disability friendly. Cosy and warm. I would most definitely return here.

Location was ideal and apartment was spotless. Mary was absolutely fab and had the kettle boiling as we arrived and few bits in the fridge. Was like home form home. We will definitely be staying again.

Great hosts great location

Excellent location for touring Donegal. Close to pubs and eating places. Accommodation spotless. Plenty of towels provided. Beds very comfortable Tea, coffee, sugar,milk, bread, marmalade, butter, a huge apple pie and custard . Very well looked after. Washing machines available too. Hosts were unobtrusive but available and very friendly and answered queries promptly before we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble. Aldi and Lidl close by. Would definitely go back.

Shower a little small and water went onto the floor so be careful. Forgot to mention to the owners. 2 rings on electric hob not working.

Fantastic place to stay

We had a brilliant stay. The apartment was very spacious, spotless and in an excellent location near the main street. Mary and Michael were very welcoming. We had our dog stay with us too which was great. The location is perfect for visiting the best sites in Donegal with lovely places to eat and have a drink nearby. We would definitely highly recommend and look forward to returning ourselves. Mary gave great tips on local beaches and places to eat which were brilliant.

That we had to leave to come home. We had a fantastic stay. 🙂

A fantastic stay! The apartment and location was excellent- made even better by the amazing host!!

The location and apartment was fantastic! Very close to the town centre- within walking distance to lovely pubs and restaurants and close to sights of donegal like arranmore island and Glenveagh. Couldn’t have been better :) The host was very accommodating and nothing was too much bother for her! Even when it came to our puppy making noise- she couldn’t have been nicer. Communication was excellent and we will definitely be back! Such a great find and would recommend to anyone.

Exceptional

The apartment was super clean and comfortable. Shower was great. The hosts were really welcoming and friendly. Mary gave us great advice on where to eat and what beaches to visit. Parking was on the street in front of apartment and with Garda station in on the corner felf safe and sound. We had two small ones and a 12 year old. We'd love to go back and so would they. We visited Glenveagh National Park,Dunlewey Centre Arranmore on the redline ferry and many of the great beaches including Dooey beach.

Great location, very welcoming host and comfortable stay.

The host was very welcoming and helpful. She recommended places to visit and places to eat. The apartment was very comfortable and clean and our host left us a few essentials, such as bread, milk and some treats and the kids. Hope to return in the future.

Exceptional

Big spacious bedrooms, comfy beds. Bathroom clean and modern. Kitchen was also very nice and well equipped. Owner met us and was very pleasant, I knew if I needed anything while my stay she would have accommodated us if possible. We drove to a nice beach everyday with our dog. Also only a few steps away from a lovely pub/restaurant. I would definitely recommend this to family and friends.

Fabulous property and host

Everything about the property was excellent. Mary our host was fabulous phoning beforehand to see what bread and milk we liked. Mary was there to welcome us and left all the basics bread, butter, jam, milk, juice and some treats. The property itself was in a fantastic location and was very clean and well equipped. The rooms were a great size with a tv in every room. A short walk from the property took you into the town centre. We had a wonderful few days as a family and will certainly return in the future.

Just the break we wanted

We loved the space of the flat and location. The beds were so comfy and each tv had Netflix. It made it that it was pet friendly and we could bring our dog, he loved it too.

Family trip

The apartment was spotless. Really well equipped and the extra wee bits ( bread, milk&crisps ) was a lovely touch. Also, it was our daughter’s birthday whilst we we stayed which Mary acknowledged with a little gift and card. This felt more like a home away from home. Would really recommend this property.

Exceptional apartment in the heart of Dungloe! Mary and Michael made us feel very welcome from the start and showing us around and they provided milk, bread, butter, chocolate treats and biscuits on arrival so we could make a brew and relax as soon as we got there. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We enjoyed our stay there very much. Ard Cashel is such an excellent base for exploring the beautiful scenery of West Donegal and I couldn't recommend it enough! We will certainly be returning.

Perfect home from home

Mary warmly greeted us upon arrival to show us how everything was set up and she had thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. She checked which bread we preferred before we got there and stocked the fridge! She even offered to dog sit for us and phoned a local restaurant to check availability for us. The property is spacious, bright and spotless and in a great location. Two large bedroom, fully equipped kitchen and a fab shower. A great base from which to access lots of Donegal’s sight. With nice pubs and restaurants within walking distance but still very quiet.
