The staff were always pleasant and very helpful
There was an initial issue with the room heating possibly because of teething problems with refurnished system, however the staff worked steadfastly to address the situation.

Google maps gave me directions through the National Park. The drive was horrendous. The hotel staff said other clients had had a similar experience. They have contacted Google on many occasions. Be warned. Take the N56 it's more direct.
Nothing.

Lovely place, I had a great stay

As a woman travelling by herself, I felt very safe. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Plenty of car parking space.
I ate my evening meal in the bar - the food was delicious. I had seabass fillets, mashed potato & lots of seasonal veg.
For breakfast, I ordered poached eggs with mushrooms & tomato. White bread toast was supplied but on request, I was given brown bread. My breakfast was very nice.
On arrival, I was directed to my room (104), however, when I got to the room I discovered no handle/mechanism for the key card on the door just a big hole!! I returned to reception, & with profuse apologies from the receptionist, I was allocated another room (201). This, too, had issues with the key/locking system - I could lock the door when in the room but not when I left the room. Anyone could just walk in. As there was no safe in the room I had to take any valuables with me anytime I left the room.
For breakfast, I would have preferred a fresh fruit option on the buffet table instead of tinned grapefruit & tinned prunes.
Also, cereals were in large communal serving bowls, uncovered.

Good food and friendly service
The bed wasn't the most comfortable. Shower was very difficult to use and towels were small.

A large hotel on Donegal's Atlantic coast, it seemed to be popular with surfers when we stayed at a weekend. And it also proved to be the meeting point for locals on a Saturday night making it quite busy. Dinner & breakfast were good but not great. Overall, a perfectly reasonable place to stay as the choice in this corner of Ireland isn't large.
The room had that cheap disinfectant smell that some large average hotels have -something that an open window helped with.

Can't think of anything.

Welcoming staff who work hard. Well situated to explore the national park and the beaches, as well as the lovely community of Gortahork. Wonderful to be surrounded by Gaeilge.
The only thing I would have really appreciated was a fan in the room as it was west-facing and heated up quite a bit during the afternoon/evening. I slept with no covers and the window open and was still quite warm.

Limited menu.

Good bar food with prompt service.
Room was too warm. We were on ground floor at the front so quite noisy from traffic especially if you opened the window for fresh air.

Nice food in the restaurant, not far from beach and mountains by car, staff helpful
8.0
Fantastic staff and great that I could practice my Gaeilic. We had a lovely dinner and good wine. The hotel was welcoming to the LGBTQ + community.
The quality of breakfast was standard. The wheaten/soda bread was dry and like eating sawdust....Ireland is famous for delicious soda bread...where was it? The decor is rather bland...needs a homely makeover. The dining space next to the bar was very boring with bright lighting..not cosy!
