KIND OF SOULLESS

One thing I will say is that this hotel is very clean. So I will absolutely acknowledge it for that. And the receptionist was friendly enough. And the shower was hot (though rather cramped). I honestly don't have much positive feedback to give other than that. Other people seem to have given many positive reviews of Deco, but for me personally, it simply isn't to my tastes.

The one word I will use to describe Deco is soulless. This may sound a little harsh, but I want to offer my genuine and honest feedback. I found the rooms cold, lacking style and personality, and the interior design to me felt cheap and tasteless. While many people who reviewed this hotel spoke about the 'modern furnishings'... to me, all the pieces looked like the were purchased from 'VidaXL'/ Amazon. If that's 'modern', ok. To me, it's cheap and tasteless. Again, I am not saying this to be harsh, but rather to provide my honest feedback. I saw so many 5 star reviews of this place, which led me to book there and be underwhelmed. By providing my honest review, I hope to save someone like myself from the same experience.

Good hotel but staff was below par

It was clean, the room was spacious and the parking was convenient

I was not informed that there was a charge of $15 for overnight parking. I would have expected this to be complementary. Reception staff was not great. Young and showed significant lack of experience and lack of customer service flair. Some of the girls came across quite honestly disinterested or probably under some kind of drugs?

Nice One Night Stay but Parking should be half the price. Lets face it - Its Canberra. lol

Modern Comfortable Undercover Secure Parking 10 mins drive into town . Super Nice Hot Shower and Bed was Excellent.

Generally Priced High for a hotel in Canberra but it caters for the business crowd on Company expense. Parking Over Priced - Staff not much enthusiam or energy.

The perfect place to stay in Canberra

The Deco hotel is a very comfortable clean hotel to stay at. The location is perfect to everything and all staff are very welcoming

Clean, comfy & nice

Good clean rooms, comfy beds and nice kitchen facilities with good Nespresso coffee

No porter these days especially in a hotel with 1 and 2 bedroom apartments one would expect families with young kids such as ours to book Deco for their stay. Luggage plus kids and no dedicated porter at the premise wasnt easy for us and not what I was expecting.

Really lovely place to stay - I look forward to my next visit.

The breakfast was very fresh and had excellent options including oat, almond and soy milk, and coconut (Vegan) yoghurt. I also appreciated the daily newspapers, as well as the books available to read in the lobby gbookshelves. I also value windows that open and allow fresh air, as well as a balcony. The staff were lovely. Another nice touch was the linen chute. which meant that housekeeping staff don't have to push big trolleys of soiled linen around the floor. All these touches made it a very special experience.

Best hotel in Canberra

Apartment was great, massive balcony area and spacious rooms. Hotel down the road messed up our booking and downgraded us without notifying. I called the Deco hotel and they got us a room straight away. Amazing service

A Very Comfortable Stay

The room was absolutely excellent. We had all that we needed and then some, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer and a good sized kitchen. Beds were extremely large and comfortable Plenty of seating options (Large lounge, study chair, dining table seats and three day seats. (I usually whinge about the lack of seating) Features also include: independent room A/C, electric curtains, double balcony. Large Shower with great water pressure

We did have quite a bit of trouble with our TV which was eventually fixed but it took well over 90 mins to do so. We had brought the movies package just before the TV went on the blink. Breakfast was ordinary at best & there was a few issues: * Not enough knives, forks & spoons * The "hot" food on offer was barely warm (Bacon, eggs, Sausages etc) * The automatic coffee machine, although very handy, burnt the coffee beans every cup you had. Parking spaces were a little small but I do have a large 4x4.

The hotel bent over backwards to accommodate our needs and the food and service were very professional. The room was very spacious and clean and the little extras made our stay very comfortable. Thank you.

Very modern and well equiped apartment style accomodation. We also enjoyed the restaurant for dinner. Well located with secure basement parking and we would definitely stay again!
