We had had fantastic time. Excellent hospitality.

The staff were lovely, genuine & friendly. Breakfast was lovely. We will definitely be back, the Sunday roast looked outstanding, next we will not be hungover so we will stay for the Sunday roast. Excellent hospitality. Thank you

Great little place with excellent rooms with the comfiest beds..

Great location for where we were going,Johnathan was a fabulous host /landlord for sorting out a taxi company also welcoming at breakfast nothing was too much trouble..

A comfortable stay in a lovely old inn.

A lovely old wayside in with lots of character and a very comfortable room, friendly service and with an excellent bathroom. The bar offers much more interesting food than the usual pub fare. A very good base for visiting a lovely part of Devon.

Had a very pleasant stay. Would visit again. This was our second stay at The Exeter Inn this year.

Friendly staff ,room clean and tidy. Breakfast was freshly prepared,good choice of food.

Room very hot,only had small windows,fan was available in the room.

We would definitely come again and recommend the inn to anyone.

Staff were brilliant all of them were very welcoming and extremely helpful. Jonathan really provided a personal service. The food is really good and would definitely recommend trying even if you’re not staying.

Personal preference, but, a place for tea spoons and sugar readily available on the table at breakfast, would be great.

Wow. Excellent top marks. My partner has dietary requirements and these guys stepped up to the mark. It's the 1st time we've left an establishment and my partner has said he's full after the best breakfast he's had . Great atmosphere. Room clean and lovely big comfy bed. Johnthan and pip made our stay perfect. Thank you

Okay until I've had to spend hours reclaiming

Poor breakfast. Bacon sandwich, only one slice buttered and not cut in half. Full English came without toast.

An absolutely brilliant find

Lovely welcome, exceptionally friendly staff, excellent food and a beautiful room. This was a very last minute booking for us as we needed somewhere to eat and stay near TIverton at short notice. Our visit far exceeded our expectations and we had an amazing evening. Jonathan and Phil who run the pub couldn't have been nicer and they deserve to do really well with this new venture. We will definitely be back.

Great stay at The Exeter Inn - lovely room and lovely hosts!

Lovely room, great hosts, delicious breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. The Exeter Inn exceeded our expectations, was very accessible for the wedding we were attending at Middle Coombe Farm, and was great value for money.

Very comfortable stay and we would definitely stay again.

Friendly and accommodating owners. Good food. Comfortable and stylish rooms.

Only complaint is that we had two hand towels instead of two bath towels! Didn’t notice until we were getting out of the shower so too late to ask for them to be changed!

Ideal base to visit local area

Good location for Bampton, easy to find, dog friendly. The manager had only just taken on the pub and inherited a place with a good reputation but needs some TLC. Room was comfortable and plenty of space, clean and good breakfast. Thought it might be noisy being on a main road but it was surprisingly much quieter.

Smokers under our window at the outside tables constantly coughing and talking and cigarette smoke coming into room through open window. Lots of noisy comings and going’s through upstairs heavy fire doors which were left to bang shut and not closed carefully and quietly. Think this was staff rather than guests as there was only one other guest room beyond ours but lots of other doors marked private. Wifi was via the cloud and hit and miss.

Lovely building and decor but sadly let down but the dreadful meal experience.

Tiny room, a meal that took 40 mins for starter to arrive and another 55 mins for the main which l had to send back ! A fair bit of road traffic noise.
