This property has games and all the kitchen supplies you need. There is a charcoal grill for cooking. There are two kayaks, a canoe, and a paddle boat provided with life jackets. Only 15 minutes from Bangor, it’s easy to everything from ethnic food to an independent book store or the mall. We really enjoyed staying here again. The property is very private on the lake and the pictures are pretty representative of the property. We enjoyed kayaking the lake and having campfires at night.

This is my second time here. The setting is gorgeous — and old cabin like house right next to Davis pond. Loons at night, heart warming sunrises and sun sets. House is convenient to Bangor and Acadia National Forest. Comfortable , unpretentious interior.

Beautiful Cottage right on the lake.
Flowers and landscaping were perfect.
Fire pit overlooking the pond, we’re we had lots of fires
and s’mores.
Thank you Amy..,
Having our meals at the table inside looking out all the
beautiful windows.
We really enjoyed sitting on deck and on the Adirondack
chairs overlooking the water, especially having our
first cup of coffee in the morning.
The Cottage was well-stocked, we didn’t need
to bring anything.
All linens and towels were provided
Listening to the loons and seeing a lot of bald eagles.
We really enjoyed the canoe, kayaks,
paddle boat and relaxing on the dock.
Enjoyed fishing on the pond, was very relaxing.
I caught 5 fish in the same day. my fishing buddy wasn’t happy lol.
There’s a Great Big Ice Cream Cone on 1A in Holden, which was a great place to enjoy our ice cream outside.
We really enjoyed our stay and didn’t want to leave…
Thank you again,
Amy and Family

Cosy, comfortable cabin/house
Excellent experience! The house has great space and is thoughtfully and practically appointed. Great communication with our host, Amy, and everything about the property was as advertised. Kayaks, the fire pit, and swimming were such a pleasure. Some days we traveled to Acadia National Park, and other days we were happy to lounge around and marvel at Davis Pond (Pond!!! The dang thing is 500 acres--gorgeous lake setting for this great property.) Bangor is only about 15 minutes away, so if you get lonely for an urban setting, it's easy to find and it's a diversity friendly city. We loved seeing Stephen King's house! I was here with my daughter, but I have every intention of returning with my husband who will love this place as much as I did.

Great camp right on the water
The cabin had a great feel, nice wood walls, lots of decorations. The lake its on was fun to play in, they had kayaks, paddleboard, and a canoe. The lot was spacious and I felt fairly private while sitting out with a fire.
There were a ton of animals to see and hear, like frogs, hairs, skunks, fish, eagles, etc.
The camp is 20 min from bangor and about an hour to arcadia.

Perfect lake getaway
Really comfortable, spacious house closer to the lake than you can imagine! Amazing waterfront views from the master bathroom, living room and den. Fully equipped house and property including with everything you need for a peaceful, comfortablem fun family getaway! We saw and heard the loons daily as well a variety of other birds and small wildlife. Easy drive to Acadia, which we did for one full day (sunrise to late afternoon) but Davis Pond called us back. Most perfect spot for a family retreat. Only downfall is the sulfer in the water - definitely plan on bottled water for drinking. We could not recommend this house and hosts more highly! Thanks for sharing your amazing vacation home!!!

Quiet Peaceful Getaway
Comfortable cabin on the edge of the pond. Loons were heard and seen immediately, we also saw a bald eagle soaring above. Lots of quaint outbuildings on a large private lot.

Perfect Family Vacation
This was truly the best vacation ever. The property was beautiful, had everything you could possibly need or want, and the owner (Amy) was quick to respond and very nice. This place was exactly what we needed and we can't wait to go back - we're already trying to figure out when we can go again! We loved every moment!

Beautiful Vacation
Serene location, great for families. The owner was attentive to any needs we may have had. Besides swimming there were several opportunities for fun in the water with kayaks, a canoe, peddle boat, and paddle board.

Quiet and Peaceful
Our week was very quiet and peaceful. Although there were other houses relatively close to us we were not disturbed at all. We were told there would be plenty of wildlife to see and this was my biggest disappointment. We never saw the first loon, eagle, or any type of wildlife. And the fishing was not good either! We did have an issue with large black ants in just about every room in the house. We noticed ant bait traps throughout the house but they didn't seem to be working. Overall we enjoyed the visit but probably wouldn't stay at this location again.

Wonderful time!
We LOVED it! Excellent location! Quiet and solitude, only heard powerboats/jet skis 3 times in our 5 night stay. Heard the unique cry of loons many nights and mornings, and saw a baby loon with its parents. The kayaking, canoeing, and paddle boarding was a big bonus for our younger crowd, and the proximity to the lake and the view was great for the “old folk”. Seems like you’re more remote from civilization, but it’s deceiving as we were actually only 12-15 minutes from Bangor. Highly recommended!

Great place!
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We caught fish, kayaked, spent time in the paddleboat, swam, relaxed. Great place!! Only downside was the mosquitoes since Maine has had so much rain this spring and early summer.

Wonderful week with a daily view of the pond.
Fourth straight year at this property. Always enjoy it. Quiet, but not secluded. it was tough to find excellent dining nearby, but now there are a couple of excellent places to eat nearby (Heritage 9 and Kostos).

Wonderful
The house is not fancy but it's very comfortable and has everything we needed to enjoy our time on the lake (nice dock, canoe, kayaks, deck, firepit, hammocks, grill...)
It's a beautiful location that feels very secluded. The lake is lovely and quiet. We saw many loons and a bald eagle. Close to basic amenities and an easy drive to Acadia.
The hosts were flexible and gracious, communicated well, and made sure we had everything we needed.

Great family vacation spot on the lake
We really loved our stay at this beautiful lake house. The family didn't want to leave.
There was plenty to do right there at the property including canoeing, kayaking, fishing, playing games, puzzles, and just relaxing. In the evening, we enjoyed the fire pit, making smores, and star gazing. We were blessed to be here during the Perseid meteor shower. It was a great show.
We also were close enough to Acadia NP and enjoyed a couple of days at the park. August was busy and it took us about an hour to get there.
We saw a bunch of wildlife, not only at the park but close to the house. Near the house, we saw loons on the lake, deer, fish, and a flock of more than 30 turkeys. How fun.
Amy's communication was great and we had no issues. The house has everything that we needed and more.
Thank you again for sharing your lake house.

Very peaceful and relaxing getaway
We enjoyed our stay very much. Our kids loved the paddle boat and making s'mores. The fishing was great caught some bass and pickerel. The cabin is back off the road and very quiet, but not far to drive for shopping and dining. The kitchen was well equipped for staying in and cooking. Beautiful quiet getaway we enjoyed it very much!

Clean, Comfortable and Peaceful
We loved our time here. The home was very clean and welcoming and was well equipped with everything we needed. Amy was so kind and made sure our stay was perfect. The location of the home was private and peaceful which is just what we were looking for. We enjoyed fishing from the dock, relaxing by the fire and making S’mores. The windows along the back of the house allowed for beautiful views of the lake. We were fortunate enough to be there during a full moon and the reflection off the water was magnificent. We were just under an hour, and an easy drive from Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. We couldn’t be happier with our stay here and hope to come back on our next trip to Maine. Thank you for opening your home to us. We truly had a wonderful time.

What a gem!
This was the perfect vacation home for us and I cannot wait to get back again next year! You are right on the beautiful lake and there is plenty of room with two full living rooms, two bedrooms and a nicely appointed bunkhouse that sleeps two. The beds are comfortable and there is everything you will need (plus some) for cooking and serving the largest meals. The house is as just as pictured, and literally two steps away from the water, with a nice dock and a canoe, three kayaks, and a paddle boat. You can sit in the living room and appreciate a view of the lake that is almost as good as standing on the dock. The house also has a washer and dryer, satellite TV, and a fully stocked woodshed to complement the beautiful fire pit.
We split our time between fishing on the two connected lakes and exploring Acadia NP and coastal Maine. On our first night out we caught a 5 lbs and a 4 lbs Largemouth Bass, a 3 lbs Smallmouth Bass, and numerous Pike. Throughout the week we continue to catch bass, Pike, Crappie, and perch. It was some of the best fishing I have experienced. Acadia National Park is a short 1-hour drive, and was beautiful, traffic free, and quite enjoyable. We did not get into Bangor much, but restaurants and downtown are about 15 minutes away.
The owners are great, very helpful, and trustworthy. Anytime we needed help locating anything, they were in contact within minutes.
This really was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Maine outdoors and/or explore the Acadia coast.
