L'Olivette Bed & Breakfast offers boutique accommodation in a private new purposed built architect designed Mediterranean style home with an emphasis on friendly and discreet service by your French hosts.

Located in Nelson Bay, on a quiet cul de sac, L'Olivette Bed & Breakfast is 5-10 minutes walk to local beaches, town centre and restaurants, and within a few minute walk to the Tomaree National Park.

L'OLIVETTE Olive Room opens up to its own private garden.

The room is spacious and comfortable with raked ceilings and exposed beams. It is set with a queen size bed, ensuite with shower and access to a private garden through large French doors.

Our hosts provided us with an absolutely fantastic stay. They are French and their culture underscored our entire experience. Superb breakfast, clean, comfortable and our hosts always respected our privacy but were excellent conversationist. We feel we have made two new friends. The best BnB we have ever enjoyed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely BnB. Martine and Yves are charming hosts and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The room was spotlessly clean, very well decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. Had the weather been better we could have opened the doors out onto a lovely private garden. Our breakfast was delicious with fruit, homemade yoghurt, croissants, and homemade brioche and rolls. We really enjoyed meeting them both and talking to them. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

A-maze-zing! If you want to go to France without the airfares, stay here. Every little detail and decoration of the house/room was well thought out. Absolutely loved the breakfast, our hosts were very attentive even making the yoghurt and brioche buns 😋

A fabulous stay from start to finish. Greeted by Yves and Martine on arrival and welcomed into their beautiful home where attention to detail with furnishings made the room feel so welcoming and comfortable Breakfast was amazing with fresh fruit, yoghurt, and muesli, home-made bread and brioche accompanied with home-made jams. This is our third time staying at L’Olivette and we wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else when we’re in the area. Martine and Yves are amazing hosts and have designed an incredible and peaceful place for their guests. They are extremely consistent and even though it’s normally a couple of years between stays, always remember me and my wife. The room is idyllic, clean and so well cared for. The olive garden is the best thing to wake up to, second only to the delicious homemade French breakfast wheeled out to greet you in the morning to set you up for the day. Can’t recommend highly enough. They are the gold standard in B&B’s. Thank you Martine & Yves! We’ll absolutely be back!

L’Olivette is well located in a quiet cul de sac, central to accessing Nelson Bay, Shoal Bay, and Fingal Beach. Our room was immaculate with artistic touches, chocolates on arrival, a comfortable bed, and a private part of the garden to relax outside. Our hosts were attentive with fascinating stories, and the continental breakfast was sustaining with home-made muesli,fresh fruit, and abundant pastries. We would very much stay again.

We had a really nice stay. Friendly French couple having a B&B in their beautiful French looking home. Rooms were clean and comfortable with coffe and tea provided. Beautiful veranda in connection to room. Breakfasts was wonderful with homemade bread, brioche, croissants, yoghurt and jams and fresh fruits, granola, butter and tea or coffe. Breakfast was arrange when it suited us so they were very flexible and accommodating. Very friendly hosts! Can warmly recommend to anyone wanting a personal and beautiful stay in Nelson’s Bay!

L'Olivette is an oasis in the middle of a tourist destination. If you enjoy a retreat from the chaos of tourist crowds, then this is the place to stay. The accommodation is charming and comfortable, and the owners are extremely hospitable.

The room was absolutely spotless, the private garden was divine. The hosts Martine and Yves were so accommodating and very beautiful people, the breakfast was to die for with home made pastry’s and yoghurt. Will definitely come back here.

What a beautiful B&B - the accommodation, atmosphere and small touches were amazing. Yves and Martine were delightful hosts, and we can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommend anyone to visit. The breakfast was absolutely amazing – homemade brioche, rolls, yoghurt and jam. Wow. Still thinking about breakfast days later.. yum! The bed and linen were so comfortable, can’t wait to visit again.

As soon as we stood out the front looking at the property we felt we’d arrived in France. Once inside, we met the lovely Martine and Yves who made us feel very welcome and the French feeling continued. Our room was so clean, comfortable and our stay was magical. Martine made us home made French breakfast which was amazing. We will continue to tell all of our friends and family and look forward to our next visit to L’Olivette.

I can’t imagine a better place to have started our trip to Australia. Wonderful hosts, a lovely room with some of the nicest bedding ever, a beautiful private garden plus a delicious and generous breakfast including home made yoghurt and breads. Congratulations Yves et Martine. From pulling up roadside we were transported to France (sans airfare & the hassle of travel). The very classy attention to detail from the decor to the linen, even the china & the napkin rings! The beautifully presented breakfast trolley of OJ, coffee, muesli, pastries, preserves , fresh fruit. - all homemade of course. Bliss & so French. Our room was spotless & so beautifully appointed. We were given privacy but were well attended when needed. I truly cannot fault this experience. We have vowed to return.
