We stayed in this ground floor unit for a month and we had a nice time. The kitchen has everything you need. There is a very good supermarket an 8-minute walk from the flat. The owners, Alan and Juliet are friendly and they were very responsive if we needed something. We will come back!

This property was clean and as advertised. It is about 7 blocks from the Metro so easily accessible to the Mall and other DC sites. The only "complaint" are the universally uncomfortable bedroom pillows (an easy fix).

We enjoyed this property and its location, especially the A/C. This spot worked well for my family because it’s central to everything. My families only feedback would be that the couch is visibly dirty and littered with stains which should be cleaned or replaced. The WiFi did go out on us the last 2 days of our stay which was a bummer, luckily we were prepared with WiFi hotspots.

This is a well-appointed property located within the District, so this 2-bedroom, 2-bath with pull out sofa sleeper is ideal for a family with older children. It is a very comfortable and quiet place to relax and unwind after a day touring DC. We generally felt safe, but there is a large local homeless population (tent city within a block or so) and some abandoned buildings nearby. We found the Metro a little far to access easily, but we enjoyed using rental bikes and scooters as our main transportation into town as they were readily available around the neighborhood. We would happily stay here again.

The house was clean and had everything we needed. We appreciated the coffee supplies and the bottle of wine.
We walked to the metro and took that to the national mall to see the memorials and museums.
Finding street parking near the house was a bit of a hassle but we managed.
We would stay again.

Suggestions
Overall good, would have been better if there were a tv in each room (3 total) with regular cable service. We really enjoyed our vacation. Thank you.

Musty smell and Mosquito infested
The property need to be fumagted for mosquitos. The upstairs apartment wakes up at 5 am on weekends and this apartment you can hear every footstep, this property needs additional insulation in the ceiling. I could see putting up with neighbor noise on a long term lease, but these owner are providing a " Vacation Rental " This property is not vacation worthy. The owners were nice and offered to provide some Off mosquito repellant. There must be a leak somewhere in the sewer or drainage system as slugs were crawing out of the rear bathroom shower. We did NOT use that bathroom as it was infested with mosquitos. Owners need to find the source of the " Musty smell and fix it and also pay to have a professional fumagate the apartment. Their wer numerous cobwebs and the place has had a
" surface wipe down " but it nneds a thorough scrubbing. We could not wait to get out of there. The owners have a beautiful kitchen and really nice appliances and the property shows well. The couch needs a thorough steam clean. It was just not a pleasant stay. It could have been really nice but the owners need to do some work on cleaning and my guess I they have a broken clay sewer line that is generating the musty smell and the bugs crawing in through the drain. The neighborhood is Up and coming but some of the streets and buildings are sketchy, would not like to be out late at night in this neighborhood.

Great getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at this rental. Juliet answered every & all questions in a timely manner. The new kitchen made breakfasts easy before venturing out to the capital. Close to the metro station making it easy to get downtown. Close to grocery stores but be prepared to pay for plastic bags or bring your own.

Washington DC stay
This property was perfect for our family! Clean, comfortable, and convenient. The owners were very good with communication.

Clean and Convenient
I stayed here with my family while I attended a conference at the convention center. The apartment was clean and look exactly like the pictures.
I was able to walk everyday to the convention center which was super close to stores and restaurants .
The only issue I had and it wasn't a big deal but I wish the place came with a parking permit so I could have parked my car in front of the apartment instead of around the corner. I checked my car everyday and it was fine.
I woukd stay hete again.

Senior Tourists
This brownstone was perfect for 2 couples visiting DC. The home was clean & had everything we needed for our 5 day stay. There were 2 bedrooms with comfortable queen beds. Each couple Had their own bathroom. The owners were readily available if we had any questions.
We landed at Reagan Airport & our adventure began in a city that was new to us. We used the metro, bus system, & Uber to get around the city. Our DC home was about 9 blocks from the metro. Buses were available within a block or 2.
There was a variety of good restaurants to eat with reasonable prices. A large grocery store was about 7 blocks away.
I would highly recommend this place to stay. It made the evenings a great place to crash after a busy day being tourists.

Clean accommodations, good location just a quick Uber ride to all the sites. Owners responsive
We missed having access to cable TV for watching real time sporting events without having to sign up a free trial through Roku. Space is great and has everything you need. Beds are average.

Nice, clean and comfortable
The property was a short walk to the convention center, but said it sleeps 8 - the property was crowded with 7. In addition, the wifi was good during the day and not great in the evening. Overall comfortable and great for a conference.

Cozy unit in the heart of Washington DC near the convention center
We had a tradeshow to go to every day. This cozy condo worked out great for us! Most days we took to an Uber to the convention center and one day we walked back. We had everything we needed and the owner was very kind and alway looking to help with anything.

Super Senior Spot
My 95 year old mother, my sister and I (also seniors) stayed in this recently modernized apartment for a week. Mother is quite fit for her age, but sometimes uses a cane and for touring DC brought a lightweight transfer chair which she sometimes used as a walker and sometimes didn't use at all. This apartment with a 2 inch door jamb and level interior was perfect. The larger bathroom has something on either side of the toilet for secure handholds for someone with mobility challenges. The beds and furniture are comfortable. We enjoyed making our breakfasts at home in the apartment before heading out for a day in DC and then having a light supper afterwards. Transportation was very easy. We found uber cheaper and faster than taxis, but the best of all was the mass transit system. To the left and just around the corner on New Jersey you can pick up the 96 bus which will take you to Union Station and then you can cross the street for the Circulator Bus which takes you all around the Mall to the Capitol and most of the Museums as well as to the Memorials. (Get a brochure on the bus to find 4 or 5 other routes.) Going right from the apartment, head 3 blocks to 7th St and catch the 70 bus which also goes downtown. All the buses lower the front entry and have special seating for seniors and wheelchairs. The buses are numbered the same for the return trip with the stops across the street from where you started. All this for the pittance of $1 for the bus, $.50 for the Circulator. Younger adults pay $2 and $1. Metro cards are available, which would have been easier than fumbling for $1 bills and change, but we didn't find out about that early enough. As for the neighborhood, we felt very safe, and enjoyed watching the parents and children as they went to the nearby school in the morning and the owners and dogs going to the dog park across the street in the evening. A few times we walked three blocks to the Giant Supermarket just beyond 7th St using the wheeled cart Allen provided for our groceries. All in all a very clean and quiet area Yes, there are emergency vehicles, but it is a city, and if it was my emergency, I'd want a siren to clear the roads ahead, too. The owner of the apartment, Allen, and his daughter, Juliet, are very accommodating. Just ask if you need anything and they will get right back to you. If we ever go back to Washington DC, we would be more than happy to stay in this apartment.

Everything you need in a convenient location.
This unit is nicely remodeled & has a well appointed kitchen. The location is convenient to the Metro, buses and walking distance to restaurants, groceries. The owners were helpful and easy to connect with leading up to our stay. We were two couples and found this to be a perfect fit for our 4 night stay. The only thing to be improved would be better quality mattresses if you were in for a longer stay. Otherwise, this is a good value for your D.C. touring experience.

Lovely
We loved our time here. Location was great. We love walking so we walked from the townhome home to national mall and surrounding area every day. The home had everything we needed. We loved having a grocery store so close (giants) and We were able to use the parking behind it which was wonderful and easy. The home did a smell. Not necessarily a bad smell. I would describe it as ethinic cooking.
