Perfect Escape From Winter
If you ever find yourself thinking winter is too long and cold, I hope you are able to leave the snow behind and stay in Ginger's adorable casita. The kitchen is one of the best-equipped I have seen in a VRBO, and the location is ideal for getting just about anywhere -- the beach, hiking trails, and downtown SB. Ginger is lovely and the neighbors friendly. My 2 months here came and went too quickly. I can see making this an annual habit! 😎

The cottage is just as described and as others have mentioned...the pictures don’t do it justice. The views are wonderful day and night of Santa Barbara and the ocean beyond. The various outdoor seating areas are great for sun and shade. The street and drive up is steep! But otherwise the neighborhood is quiet...you barely see the neighbors...overall it is a very private location. I travelled with my dogs and stayed for what ended up being two months and it couldn’t have been more comfortable. Ginger, the owner, was great about being in touch with everything I needed to settle in. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My husband and I traveled with my 89 year old mother to visit our son and celebrate our birthdays. It was our first trip to SB but definitely won't be our last. The drive from LA was the worst part - but once we arrived at the cottage, everything changed. The serenity and beauty of the place is beyond what the pictures can show. Every morning we enjoyed coffee on the patio, watching the hummingbirds and overlooking the hillside and bay below. The night of the lunar eclipse was spectacular, as were the occasional wafting sounds from the SB bowl down the hill. The cottage was spotless, the kitchen well equipped and split BR plan with 2 full baths gave us a space to breathe. The neighborhood was peaceful and proximity to town and groceries was easy. The off-street, cottage-side parking made it easy for mom and was convenient for carrying bags, etc. in and out, as everything is on one level (no stairs!) It was about as perfect a trip and accommodation as it could be. We would definitely book this spot again.

What a place to spend our "2nd " honeymoon. Well built, comfortable "cottage" was roomy and fit all our needs. The deck and patio were beautifully landscaped and so comfortable with the furniture provided. The views were spectacular. We would recommend renters check the schedule of the Santa Barbara Bowl. It is close by and can be plainly heard at the cottage. Even though there are other residences near, you don't feel their presence. Our son and his wife joined us and fell in love with this house.

An enchanting cottage with beautiful views, tasteful and highly functional furnishing and lay out. One instantly feels at home. The terrace offers a panoramic view of Santa Barbara and is very private. The property is well located nearby the Mission and various hiking trails. Our family of four had the most relaxing and pleasant stay in this very attractive setting.

I just got back from this cottage after a 4 night stay. I have to say, it was perfect. There were two couples and we each brought a small, well behaved dog. The cottage was the perfect size, and with 2 bathrooms you had a ton of personal space. The patio/deck is where this place really shines, with dazzling views that stretch from the hill you are on, all the way to the ocean.
For the price I found this stay to be very affordable in comparison to other listings. In terms of proximity we were about a 6-8 minute drive from State Street, or a $10 UBER. The cottage is very private, really no one can see you so it feels like you're all alone.
The owner was very easy to work with and returned our deposit promptly.
Do yourself a favor and book your next stay at this amazing cottage, you won't regret it I promise!

We had a really nice Memorial Day weekend stay in this beautiful Santa Barbara cottage! It was very quiet and relaxing (if you stay during the week in 2014, you may want to ask if the nearby construction is complete). Although the cottage was on the same property as the 'main house', it felt very private and was secluded by trees and plants. The two bedrooms (one with a view towards the ocean) and two full baths were very nice to have. The kitchen, tho' small, was very nice and well stocked with everything we needed. The stackable washer/dryer were a nice bonus--we didn't anticipate using them, but ended up having to wash some things during our stay. The living room sat 4 comfortably, had a nice flat panel TV and iPod/iPhone dock. The couch was a pull-out, but we didn't use it. We loved keeping the large french doors open to the beautiful deck, overlooking town with an ocean view. (SB faces south, so no sunsets over the water in the summer.) We enjoyed a few meals and glasses of wine on the large deck, and even used the gas grill one night after a long day of sea/cave kayaking at the Channel Islands (AWESOME tour!). The rental process was easy and the damage deposit refunded promptly. I highly recommend this vacation cottage and I wouldn't hesitate to go back in the future!

We stayed a week in this fabulous guest house and loved our stay there. Being former Santa Barbara residents (we were visiting family) we were familiar with the area but we so appreciated how quiet it was and the great views. The house is very clean, well kept and comfortable and we look forward to returning in the future. Mahalo, Ginger, and Aloha!

Our stay in this cottage was perfect!
The cottage is small and compact but the two bedrooms, two bathrooms provide adequate space. The large deck adds considerable square footage. We loved the view!! The kitchen is very well equipped and all contained in such a well designed small space! Everything was extremely well maintained and clean. The owner was very helpful - especially when we discovered we had left belongings behind!!
We would definitely recommend this property to others. Our only comment might be to let them know the location requires driving on a very curving road. But the view at the top is worth it!
A restaurant we enjoyed very much was called Julienne.

PERFECT SPOT IN SANTA BARBARA
My family has recently returned from our second stay at this wonderful cottage. We loved it the first time and even more the second. The house has been decorated with such a nice touch and the kitchen has everything you could need. Although it is very convenient to Santa Barbara's sites, restaurants and shopping, we were just as happy to stay put and enjoy the patio with its fabulous view over the city to the ocean and have drinks and dinner at home.

Girl's Weekend
I sent my wife, sister-in-law and their two best friends on a long weekend as a gift for my wife's 50th birthday. When they returned all they could do was talk about what a great time they had and they described the cottage as the perfect getaway. From the furnishings and decorations to the beautiful setting and view, they described it as perfect. One evening they skipped dinner all together and just sat on the balcony with wine, cheese and crackers. It was so perfect, they just wanted to take it all in. My wife says she's going back and this time she might even let me come along too! Thanks Ginger for making such a wonderful weekend so easy!

Ocean View Cottage
Our family spent a lovely week at this wonderful ocean-view cottage. It is very modern, well equipped and well kept. The cottage is located well up on Garcia Road and has a wonderful view overlooking the Santa Barbara waterfrontand the town. It is lovely to sit out on the peaceful and private deck to view the sea after a day of sightseeing or shopping. At night, the town lights are amazing. One word of advice: It is best to approach the house off of Milpas at the bottom of the hill. Our GPS took us to the top of Garcia and because the street is split there you have to take a u-turn and come back at it. It is not a problem once you know your way around, but it is a little confusing at first, especially at night. Otherwise the location is just wonderful. Just 10 minutes from all the action on State Street and 15 minutes to the waterfront. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation and plan to return in the very near future. Thank you, Ginger!

Secret Cottage in Riviera
We had a wonderful time at this secret cottage in the Riviera. Wonderfully decorated and very clean. Plenty of space and with everything you need for the perfect holiday. Ginger is the perfect host. We enjoyed drinks on the large deck with the outstanding 180 degree view. You would pay a fortune for this view somewhere else. Very close to downtown and all the shopping and restaurants, it is only a short car ride away and with parking so inexpensive, it makes this cottage the perfect escape from all the action going on downtown, but close enough to get there. Looking forward to visiting again.

Exceeded our expectations!
My wife, another adult couple from out of state, and I recently stayed at the anta Barbara Riviera Ocean View Cottage for a week. The consensus from all is that the property not only met, but EXCEEDED all our expectations. The location was perfect, the view was perfect, and the accommodations were perfect. Simply put, you won't be disappointed if you book this cottage for your next trip to Santa Barbara.

Conveniently located..well appointed cottage
The Riviera Ocean View cottage is a conveniently located and nicely decorated cottage. The floor plan works well for a small family or 2 couples. It is pretty, fresh and private. It is located in an older neighborhood of SB, has a view and is NOT near the railroad tracks(for those of you who have not been to SB the RR is a significant noise issue.). It has a very nice deck with a view that is relaxing to sit on day or night. The kitchen has everything one would need and the property is exceptionally clean and well taken care of. It has really good privacy but is within easy walking distance to town. The description was accurate and the owner available for any questions. I think the photos did not do the cottage justice. We previously stayed in a cottage in Summerland which was nice but this location is much better. We would happily stay there again.

A great place
My family (wife and two young children) stayed here for four nights in June. The location is fantastic, only a few minutes to downtown or the beach, and the views are wonderful.
We really liked the quiet location of this place, which further enhances the experience by providing a great, private patio to enjoy the city and ocean views.
The cottage itself is clean and comfortable, with a nice kitchen and good TV and fast Wifi.
All told we enjoyed my stay at this property immensely. Highly recommended! Thanks!

CHARMING SPOT TO STAY!
My husband and I set out to find a spot in CA that would have great restaurants nearby, clean and comfortable place to stay with a great view from a patio. We got all of this in this quaint cottage! The place is all new, clean and has everything you need to be comfortable. It was quiet and relaxing, yet we were so close to shopping and many great restaurants with a very short drive. We plan to return again sometime and would recommend it to others. Enjoy!

Westmont Weekend
We stayed at this delightful cottage during our daughter's graduation from Westmont College. The location was great: on a hillside with a panoramic view of Santa Barbara, the Pacific and the Channel Islands. The quality of the amenities and ambience are exceptional and include a large deck, separate shaded patio area, and small yard including a walking path. Wonderful interior decorating and very convenient to shopping and restaurants.
Renting this small vacation home was certainly a very enjoyable experience and a great value. My wife and I highly recommend it. We have visited Santa Barbara six times during our daughter's four year college career and this was by far our favorite venue.

Perfect Place to stay In Santa Barbara
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It has recently been re-done in very good taste. We barely used the up-scale kitchen, as we love dining out at Santa Barbara's great array of restaurants. Simple breakfasts, lunches and cocktails on the deck made for a wonderful time. Great view and easy access to everything made for a perfect time. You won't be disappointed.
