Take the beautiful winding drive, 10 minutes from both Blowing Rock and Boone, North Carolina to the amazing Whispering Hills Cabin! This magnificent house, with 6 large bedrooms, is designed to comfortably accommodate 15 guests with the feel of a modernly rustic mountain cabin. There is plenty of room for gathering in the huge great room/dining room/kitchen with room to spare for quiet personal time.
A five-minute drive or a short downhill bicycle ride, to the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway, Whispering Hills is an awesome, private home that is within a short distance to hiking, fishing, sightseeing, ski resorts, restaurants, shopping and tourist destinations of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina.

The house was the perfect size for our large group. Plenty of room for togetherness as well as space to get away from each other! The location was great for running into town and reaching trails. Loved everything about our stay!

Recently rented as a getaway for extended family & we would highly recommend it!
The house was very clean & convenient location to activities in Boone & Blowing Rock. As mentioned in other reviews, the kitchen was very well stocked. With 2 tables and kitchen bar/stools, there was plenty of seating for meals and games. As a large group, we appreciated the roominess. None of the rooms felt cramped. Our group included some little ones and we appreciated the fact that noise did not carry much from room to room. There was plenty of living space on the first floor (living room open to kitchen, small room with toys & 2 chairs open to living room & a small game room). There was also plenty of parking. We ended up with 7 cars and had to shuffle them around once or twice, but they all fit in the driveway. We enjoyed the grill, fire pit & covered front porch.
The owner was great to work with and always prompt in his responses. The only issue that we had was ants in the kitchen. But the owner was very responsive and had the exterminator out the next day.

We were in town for a wedding. This house was a great fit for our family. Homey, immaculate, and we enjoyed the unique architectural details and decor. Fabulous house away from the hustle and bustle of town. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

This home exceeded our expectations in terms of layout, functionality and condition. Great for large families, family gatherings or small retreats. WiFi handled at least a dozen phones, laptops, and iPad's. Large screen TV in the main room, bedrooms and rec room. Master on the main for the early riser or mobility challenged.
Outside there are great decks, a sloping rear yard, fire pit and enough room to fit 6 cars comfortably.
Boone is just down the hill.
Overall an enjoyable stay that accommodated 16 of us from 2yrs to 70 yrs old.
Communication with Brad was quick and efficient.

We have been meeting with friends from all over for over 20 years and this is by far our favorite house. The owner is easy to communicate with and the house is great. The only thing that I would mention is that the carpet is a little worn and the house needs another refrigerator, other than that it’s perfect

Brad was a very nice host quick to respond to messages of questions i had before and after booking. House was just as the pictures showed, very clean, a very well stocked kitchen with all your cooking needs, wonderful bedrooms/baths, lovely large porches! All around a wonderful and great experience with our friends.

Loved this place. Location was great, clean, big pantry and kitchen for group meals. Open, large gathering areas and plenty of parking but also plenty of rooms to retreat to when people needed to get away from the noise. The porch was a favorite.

Those are the words my daughter texted us all - as she was the first to arrive. We were there with our children and grandchildren (four families) and had so much space to both be together - and to be ourselves. The views are phenomenal and there is not one bad room in the house. The kitchen is amazing and well stocked - with an awesome grill outside. The drive up the mountain was beautiful, even has an adorable bridge to go under. Plenty of room for parking. Great communication with the owner before we arrived. We'll probably be back!

I can not put into words how perfect this property was for my family and I to celebrate my son’s Masters graduation. The layout and accommodations were great! Brad was awesome at communication and accommodating special requests!! Highly recommend and will definitely stay on our next trip to Boone!

The house was a perfect gathering of quilting friends from 4 states, from Maryland to Florida. The spacious living/dining area was an excellent place to sew and visit and laugh. We made much use of the wonderfully furnished kitchen and slept well in the very comfortable beds.
We may just have to book this one again!

We are a group if cousins ages 64 to 80. We get together 2 or 3 times a year. We are all originally from Lenoir. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The owner was amazing, the kitchen was the best equipped kitchen we have ever had. Total perfection for our group. We plan on returning. If we were allowed, we would give 10 stars.

he cabin was perfect. We’ve been using this place for years for our college ministry winter retreat. The open spaces give us room to play games and have group discussions. The kitchen is perfect for feeding a large group The location is perfect for access to the parkway and trails. We look forward to coming back next year.

The photos of this property do not do it justice. We had more than enough space, and everything we could have needed was supplied. Fantastic house close to Boone, but far enough away to avoid regular traffic. Excellent stay.

My family met at this beautiful house to celebrate the life of my dad. It was every kind of wonderful and we can't wait to go back! Not only was the house perfect, but they took extra steps to decorate for fall. Those little gifts mean a lot!

The Lodge was roomy and everything you would want in a Mountain retreat. Loved the kitchen, large bedrooms, wrap around porch, and great views. Easy access to Boone down town. We will definitely stay there again.

We had a group of friends staying there for our annual mountain trip. What a wonderful rental - so tastefully decorated with adorable details. The space was perfect for us to spread out. The kitchen was stocked very well which was helpful when we cooked big meals for the group. We are planning on coming back!

My wife and I have taken 6 widow ladies to the mountains in Tennessee for the past 4 years but had not been to the Boone area. This year we decided on Boone and were not disappointed. This house is located in an area that allows easy access to The Blue Ridge Parkway and into downtown Boone. One of the largest issues when we look for a house in the mountains is decent road access. The roads were good for mountain roads and did not cause a lot of stress entering and leaving the property.
The house was very spacious and allowed everyone to enjoy their own private space. The kitchen was well stocked and the common areas were large enough to enjoy sitting, talking and watching TV. The view from the Master suite upstairs was really nice but overall the Mountain View is limited due to the trees in the neighborhood.
Brad Haas was an amazing host. He was very responsive and wanted to insure that our trip was enjoyable. I think the final review was given by the ladies who looked at me and my wife and asked if we could return there next year. That still remains to be seen but if we return to the Boone area and this property is available we will stay there again.

House, location and communication were all top notch. Brad quickly remedied the upstairs HVAC system going out by placing window units in all the upstairs bedrooms prior to our arrival, ensuring we were comfortable for the full weekend. I highly recommend this property for any large group gatherings!

A group of dads and kids (10-14 years old) stayed here for 2 nights. Wonderful location near Boone, tubing, zip-lining, axe throwing, etc. House was gorgeous inside and out with foosball table, functional Wi-Fi. The back deck was huge and a great place to hang out in the mountain air. The inside of the house, and the kitchen, were just top notch. We had a great time at this lovely location.

This home worked very well for our family reunion with 11 people. The home is well supplied with linens, towels, and the kitchen has everything imaginable for the cook. The setting is wonderful on a quiet mountainside with a scenic view to the north.

We traveled to Boone with our kids and grandkids and found the house to be just the right size for the 12 of us! The kitchen is indeed well-stocked for making meals. It was a short drive to both Boone and Blowing Rock where we found plenty to do.
Brad was extremely easy to communicate with and promptly responded to all our questions.
We would definitely go back!

It's a family tradition
I'm from a large family and we are spread all over the country. Every July we make it a point to get together and have been coming to this property for over 10 years. It feels like home. It's large and comfortable. And we love sitting on the porch for hours on end swapping stories. Love this place!
