Perfect location for Anchorage fun! Thoughtfully updated family home with all the amenities - even a sauna! Spacious layout - 5 adults were not on top of each other. Nicely sized gathering spaces with loads of windows for a bright, happy family get together. If you need extra space, two other downstairs units provide separation and/or connection. Beds are comfortable with new sheets and comforters. Convenient washer/dryer and spacious outdoor deck. Easy access to downtown - 20 min amble (see Star the Reindeer) or less than 5 min drive. Walk one block to the grocery store. Drive 12 mins to the airport. Location, convenience and comfort can’t be beat. We’ll definitely be back!

This house provided lots of space and was easy to find. The kitchen is well stocked and there were plenty of linens. It is about a 15 min walk from the downtown area, where you can find good restaurants. Bikes were available but we decided to go with an e-bike rental to cover more distance. Would stay here again

Really liked the neighborhood feel with a big deck outside and space inside to cook and gather! It’s a 20-minute walk or 4-minute drive to get to downtown, but for a couple days it wasn’t a big deal for us. For light sleepers, there’s some traffic and train noise and bring an eyecover, because some bedrooms skylights without blackout covers. Wonderful Sagaya market only 1 block away with coffee and groceries!

Beautiful home in a great location, walk to town. Beautifully decorated. The only complaint was it was very hot in the house. No windows would open, window cranks broken and no screens on windows if we could get them open for fresh air. Only 1 ceiling fan in the house, it was in living room. The 2 bedrooms really need blinds, too much light to sleep. Other than that, it was a lovely house that my family of 5 enjoyed.

This was a very great place to stay. The home was very clean and roomy and very inviting & charming. I will absolutely stay here again when I come back to Anchorage. Everything worked out very, very well and everything went great. Thanks!!!!

Loved it! However, if you sleep in one of the two bedrooms with clearstory windows, be sure to bring an eye mask since they cannot be shaded.

Very nice house, less than a mile to downtown. Easy flat walk and grocery 1 block away.

Right next to a great cafe and super market! Nice place with everything you need. Was a perfect launching point for lots of nearby activities and close to the airport.

We recommend this place!

We loved the kitchen and the gigantic deck! Great location downtown and right near a great supermarket.

Quiet neighborhood, short walk to Chester Creek park or downtown.

House could use a tad updating but was sufficient for our needs. Dryer took forever! Took 2 hours to dry one not oversized load. Overall good stay.

The house was perfect for our three generations. The kitchen was nicely stocked. There were lots of linens. The washer/dryer was just downstairs. It was in a good location with a grocery just up the street and we were able to walk downtown in 15-20 minutes. I highly recommend the house!

This house is in serious need of repair and updating. Many of the light bulbs were burned out, there is a broken window, the screen door does not close due to warping, window cranks are stripped, bathroom sink does not drain, switch plate covers fell off, heat was set to 85 degrees and could not be adjusted, etc. The only updated area is the kitchen. Bedrooms have high windows with no shade, so it is bright in the morning. The majority of the house is beyond tired. We were very disappointed in this property.

Nice property, very centrally located. Only small complaint is that 2 of the bedrooms need blackout shades on the very high huge windows. Very bright all night in the summer. Great property all around.

Responses and communication w owner were excellent. The unit was clean, with a well-supplied kitchen, spacious comfortable seating in living room. Wall of windows in living area was so pleasant. The bathrooms need updating, but were clean with all necessities. The king bed was extremely comfortable with very nice, soft touch linens. The location was in a quiet neighborhood but barely a mile from downtown and 1/2 block from a great grocery and market.
We would stay here again on future trips to Anchorage.

All in all a great place to stay. Very close to downtown. The place needs a little maintenance done to outdoor patio and some extra cleaning. The fan in living room was very dirty we didn’t try to turn it on. Sliding patio door was hard to slide. Few lights were out. And also the laundry is shared with other units. We had an issues with fans and owners were very responsive do get more for us which came in very handy. Nothing major but would stay again

Our first experience was walking into the unit where it was a boiling 84 degrees. The dirty ceiling fan was no help in cooling the living room. I opened the patio door to the deck to let in some air and the screen door was off its track and fell over. I had to shut the patio door so bugs didn't get in. The house, both interior and exterior, needs maintenance. Overall, its a nice house and great location. We walked to the downtown area every day we were there.
Our biggest surprise was the photos of one of the bedrooms showed an extra twin bed which was not in the unit. I notified the property manager and he said that they had made the switch, but not updated the photos. This change meant my brother had to sleep on the couch in the hot living room. On a good note, the City Market is a block away with groceries and great local coffee.

I came with my sister's family .We had a party of six. The rental was beautiful and kitchen was well equipped. We did a walking tour of downtown Anchorage and shopped alot. We arrived by train and had no rental car, this property is a 25 minute walk from the train station and there was lots to see and a grocery store half a block away, the New Sagaya.

We stayed at the Reinikka House from May12 - 19. Our middle adult son was already here for work so we came for a visit. We had a wonderful stay. Lot's of space to spread out. Had breakfast each morning in the nice kitchen and walked to the corner store nearby when we needed breakfast supplies/snacks for our daily excursions. We relaxed in the living area each night after sightseeing and went on neighborhood walks and runs while it was still light out. Bedrooms were large enough for our two adult sons who came along with us. We ate lunch and dinner at restuarants near our planned activities. There is a folder with helpful information that was left on the counter from the owner. It was truly a once in a lifetime vacation and experience! Hoping to come back again someday!
