We did not have breakfast
The clearing of the tables
8.0
The ease of parking, the size of the rooms and the value for money.
The water pressure was so low that I could barely shower at all.
9.0
It was very quiet.
Very good value. Breakfast in room excellent.
The receptionist on my arrival seemed a bit unfriendly.

We absolutely loved our stay. The hotel was beautiful. The room was large and tastefully furnished. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful.
We ate at both restaurants in the hotel and enjoyed our meals.
Some rooms were noisy due to the downtown location.

They made our room available early.
they pre ordered us a cab.
we stayed for a wedding. The pictures advertised show a modern traditional hotel. however this is not what we walked into. The room was extremely dated with very poor lighting, there was no water in the room and the bed was extremely unconfutable and we felt like we were sleeping on wither side of a hill.
the buffet breakfast was awful, with what looked like boiled bacon, watery eggs and little to no fruit. There was no instant coffee and so I had to pay for one.

Excellent breakfast . Wonderful room.
Had to request twice that at breakfast things needed replacing as it had been busy .

Location is pretty & breakfast was wonderful.
Didn’t use the pool so can’t comment.
Rooms each time (3 times) have fusty smell like a care home type smell sorry don’t mean to discriminate but can’t explain otherwise.. Carpets stained & walls had slash marks. Curtain had marks all over too. Dirty windows. See pics. Coffee table had odd dirt marks & bed NOT comfy. Location pretty but bar/restaurant area has odd atmosphere. Didn’t feel welcoming for solo woman business traveller. Tried 3 times now but 3rd time unlucky won’t stay again. Dinners eaten: first time, Spaghetti bolognaise was absolutely awful!!!!! 2nd time: Curry awful! Last time: Steak chips& salad beautiful. Breakfast lovely with huge variety.
Lift and reception area outdated.
Reception staff not very attentive and when asked to speak to duty manager he was too busy to come out to speak to me. Not somewhere I’d recommend to my colleagues who agree with me about points above.
Exit door left open at top of stairs next to my room & I didn’t feel safe/secure. It was closed when I said but guests reopened constantly!!! Should be alarmed.

Great location. Beautiful grounds.
Rather tired inside. Very limited menu. Pool area OK but nothing special.
8.0
Big bed room, swimming pool, cleanliness
Bedroom need better sound proofing (noisy happy neighbours), no individual aircon, proper coffee not included with breakfast, receptionist should learn to smile.

Staff were very helpful and kind and the hotel had great facilities
Thought the room was very dated wallpaper bubbling, shower head old and leaking, toilet flush not working. After speaking to a member of staff I was told there is only 10 rooms that have been renovated which is disappointing that these rooms are used for the pictures on booking. Com

Location is great.
Stayed 2 times now but I always get put in a room that is in a separate building to the actual hotel.
Not inconvenient walking with your kids in swimsuits , in the rain through the car park to go to the swimming pool.
And rooms/ furniture pretty dated

The grounds of the hotel are fantastic. The private gym was good and everything else was disappointing.
Most advertised facilities were closed. Of the multiple pubs and restaurants advertised on-site only one was open. The food was of a poor quality. Service was very poor throughout our stay. The breakfast was not good and a manager had a loud argument with kitchen staff in front of the guests.

Paid for breakfast but didn't eat on day 2
The receptionist was extremely rude and made me feel o had no money to pay when the card machine want working. She tried manually and it still didnt go through.
My partner tried his card it failed so she decided it wad off line. They phoned me at 9.30pm on the first night to come to reception to pay. As I was undressed ready for bed I had to get redressed .
We were not even given an apology!!!

Superb food and bar service. Lovely location. Very nice Spa.
Our room - 161 - was very, very cold. We reported this to reception but waited over 3 hours for a free standing heater to be delivered and - frankly - it wasn't enough. I'd had to contact reception twice about it and only managed to get a heater delivered when I managed to physically track down the manager and ask for his help.

Spacious room. Good view. Decent facilities.
A covered walkway to the main hotel building would have been appreciated. Bar menu was okay but unexciting.

Breakfast and staff was good, swimming pool and hot tub was also good
Restaurants was well maintainted
communal odour is bit strong, may be communal floor carpets need replacing

The room was spacious.
Kids are not allowed to the saunas and jaccuzi. Also there are time limits for kids to be in the pool (starting 18.30). Water in the kids pool was really cold. Staff was unfriendly in the reception and also at the spa facility.

Lovely setting. we particularly enjoyed the art in the room- different from usual hotels. Good, tasty bar food, a pity the main restaurant not open as menu looked great.
The plug in bath was faulty which should be checked while cleaning.

Friendly staff and good facilities, idea for families.
Breakfast was good and room was nice. I would stay again.

Breakfast was amazing, best we’ve ever had at a hotel 👍🏻Tea tray was comprehensive ,never usually enough teabags but there were plenty and lovely Yorkshire Tea!
Maybe an extra blanket and pillows,I was cold in the afternoon although overnight very warm! Was never going to do a ‘Four in a bed’ inspection but there was a hair in the bath and on the towel, didn’t put me off though.

everything but one thing
food, dinner at flame was overpriced for what we had. the breakfast was terrible the only thing we liked was the toast and juice.
