The rooms were clean and huge, the staff were helpful, the pool was lovely and warm and the spar was fantastic. Roomservice was delicious. Breakfast buffet was full of great choices. The car service the conceige organised were on time and very helpful.
The egg shortage in Victoria.
5.0 / 10.0
Bed was comfortable although it was 2 singles joined with a big centre strip.
Shampoo and conditioner were good
The power points are not beside the bed. I needed to pull the couch out to use it.
The Mercure is so closed down, eerie with its checkin closed, using the next door Pullman desk.
To use the pool, you need to walk through the bar/restaurant if you are staying in the Mercure - uncomfortable!
To park your car, you have to drive around the corner and then down to level2, again very eerie, have to find your way up to the right tower for Pullman and then walk around to the other tower for Mercure.
There are no good food options there.
Room service is an extra $6
The restaurant is pitching itself as fancy but its not. The food was ordinary and expensive.

The common areas are very nice and easy to wait/ relax in.
Generally the staff are very helpful.
The room wasn't anything special and fixtures in the bathroom were very worn and ready for replacement.

It was clean and tidy and in a convenient location
The rooms were not ready at 2 pm and we nearly missed our son’s wedding.
The venue required a $50 deposit for the minibar which was not in the room.

Location
Staff poorly trained, - extreme lack of training on reception

Room service ordering was messy and food was average
Hotel was noisy

The beds were comfy. Great view of the lake and the staff were very friendly and also very helpful! We had a few things we needed help with and they didn’t hesitate to go above and beyond. They were able to source transportation to and from a local concert for us also!
The air conditioning system seemed very outdated could use with an update maybe?

The staff were nice.
On arrival at 5:30pm we waited 20+ minutes for someone to inspect the room before we could check in. This meant we missed the start of our function upstairs that started at 6pm. The kettle in our room didn’t work and we couldn’t call down to front desk so had to go down to ask for another. We were told they would bring one right up. We had to go remind them 40 minutes later and were then brought another kettle growing some sort of black mould inside.

The facilities
The cost of parking, $25 every time u exit

The entrance was very bright and welcoming. The pool area was clean and the temperature of the water was comfortable. The housekeeping staff were wonderful, so friendly and helpful. They were the highlight of the staff we encountered.
The tiles in our bathroom were broken, there was no independent cooling (which was made worse because Melbourne was having a 40 degree heatwave) there were stains and holes in the wall. There were broken tiles in the spa/pool area. We couldn’t connect to the TV, which was one of the items listed in the description.
The fridge in our room stank, 2 of the PowerPoints didn’t work and to get to the light plugs we had to move furniture.

Unfortunately we had a horrible experience with our stay. We didn’t have any air con on the hottest weekend Melbourne had for the year. Our service at the restaurant was nearly non existent and room service was even worse. Don’t order via the online system as it will take your money and an hour and half later it will be cancelled … just overall experience was bad then to get a refund was hard in itself

It was cheap
Dirty forks from previous guest sat at the door to our room for 2 days
No power supply for CPAP machine, reception gave no resolution to the issue.
Asked for sofa bed to be made up, I was given sheets to do it myself
Not enough milk provided for tea and coffee, only has the one 225ml carton for 4 might stay
Not enough coffee or sugar for a coffee each in the morning
Reception nevet answered the phone to resolve any issues always went to mailbox
Hotel itself was dirty and unkept. Needs yo be refurbished. Paint chipped, ripped carpet ect.
Floors where not cleaned the entire dah. Wet floors from people visiting the pool not cleaned up promptly.
Honestly it was a mess.

Locatie tegenover albert part en vlakbij de tram
De fotos bij booking geven een veel mooier beeld van het hotel en de kamers dan in werkelijkheid.

Loved the location, the rooms were extremely clean and fresh with spare pillows and towels, pool was lovely
Will stay here again
I think everything was very good. Maybe a room service menu instead of digital but overall will be back again and recommend to all

Staff were very helpful. Main foyer was beautiful.
Tower 1 is just old not clean and run down.Carpet in front of Barth room was worn to be able to see underlay.
When having a shower @530am took over 5 minutes that was timed on the timer(would have been longer) for the water to get hot enough to have a shower. Not great when you are getting ready for work. Not enough space to place bathroom bag on the bench.
Room was very noisey from the conference rooms on level 1. Window looked into the gym next door so had to have the blinds closed at all times. That made it very dark. Vents in the room had dust. Disappointed that not a priority to keep clean after covid.
Iron didn’t heat well and leaked water on to my dress and shirts. Not the standard of an Accor hotel.

Location only.
Breakfast was average. Also when we used sofa bed, there was a lot of dust on it. We tried calling staff to clean, no one bothered replying

Bed really really comfortable
It's a shame the Espresso Bar wasn't open, especially with no cafe's nearby. Breakfast was pricey for the selection provided, especially since coffee was a priority and only a pod machine with lack of pods provided.

room was too warm overnight- unable to adjust
6.0 / 10.0
The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious
There was no hair conditioner
The large step into the shower was not the easiest or safest on getting out.

The staff were exceptional, particularly to a parson in a wheelchair.
Food menu was poor.
5.0 / 10.0
The room was the most affordable for me as a solo parent of two boys.
No fresh air in the room and no access to control the temperature. With 3 of us in the room it was stuffy and made us feel uncomfortable. The sheets on the beds were too small and the mattress protectors old and did not remain in place. The bottom sheet was not fitted could not be firmly tucked in. The elastic on the (cloth) mattress protectors were either broken or lost their elasticity, therefore we were not 'protected' making it unhygienic. The toilet in the bathroom did not flush properly. Meaning we had to flush several times and if not successful the bathroom would smell. This was difficult to manage with two young sons in the room. Parking was expensive considering we were not in the heart of the city.

Convenient location for a function we attended. Clean room
Our room key didn't work so had to get that fixed. We were given new keys but they were for the wrong room so ended up walking in on someone sleeping! That would explain why the first key didn't work. I feel sorry for that person being woken up when two strangers turned the lights on. The staff member had written one digit down wrong so we were supposed to be in the room next door. We were given a drink voucher each as an apology.
Bathroom needs a proper extraction fan as it gets really steamy and you can see mould starting to form on the ceiling. Shower also has shampoo and body wash but no conditioner so bring your own.
6.0 / 10.0
it was clean and airy
the room was much the same as it was when I last stayed in 1994 - the couch in the privilege room was hard as a board, the bed was uncomfortable and everything felt stingy - from the size of the teacups - no
mugs available and very sparse- only liquid soap - no bar of soap- you get more at a 3.5 star motel than at the Mercure
