The hotel is beautiful and the location is excellent. The restaurant is excellent.
Some of the staff were not friendly and 2 were to my mind, actually rude. I stayed at the Sacher , Vienna, at the end of last year. All the staff there made me feel like a valued customer. I didn't feel the same here.

This is the hotel I was most looking forward to staying in for my husband and I on our honeymoon, and I was not disappointed! When we entered the hotel lobby, the manager took us to check in very warmly and elegantly, introduced us to the history of the hotel, and explained in detail everything we needed on the island.
In addition, the hotel is really stunning and the rooms are very comfortable. It is worth mentioning that the rooftop restaurant for breakfast not only has a beautiful view, but also has rich and delicious food.
The attitude of the waiters in the lobby bar is average. However, the performance of the performers was wonderful.

Foyer beautiful
Danieli Hotel is broken up between 2 properties so stayed in other property which is a walk from foyer area and not in original building unless you book a very expensive suite
The rooms are ok
Bathrooms need updating cheaper rooms are shower in bath
Staff could have been more welcoming
This hotel is suppose to be taken over by Four Seasons in 2025
They have allot of work to do to get to there standards, hotel and staff…
Stayed in a Four Seasons hotel recently it was amazing!

Arrived at 22:00. In the morning check out at 8:30 not hot water in the shower, not able to take shower, impossible to call reception nobody picking up. While checking out - not apologize, no discount, only “they trying to solve problem” but charging me full amount not providing the facility I paid for for staying less than 10 hrs.
No warm water in the morning. Not able to rich reception by telephone.

wiew was perfect
Breakfast room was a quite spectecular... Heart of the city... But when we get there they did not open the terrace (even the weather was really good), after I insist they open the balconey which is the only impoartant thing about the breakfast cause buffet was not so special... but unfortunatelly even the balcony was empty they did not give us a first row table, they say it is reserved for lunch!!!!! arrival evening we wanted to checked the restaurant but they did not let us to go to Balcony, thay say dinner was serving and we were not allowed to enter the balcony (we were hotel guestssss) even they did not let us to take a picture...

clean spacious room always adds to the feeling of luxury and this is a lux hotel... Venice style... location is superb, high end of town, next door to the palace, square and high end shopping within 1-200m. A lot of stairs and small elevators but that's normal for the city. restaurant on roof has excellent food. we didn't try breakfast but paid up for lunch and wasn't disappointed. roof top has good views.
nothing, their is nothing bad just just some things are what they are .... its an old palace so has lots of passageways, stairs etc. I suppose the bar in the lobby is a big space - hard to keep an atmosphere if its empty (but the opposite is true also.

The location is unbeatable. A stone's throw from anywhere that matters, all public transport at your door, Piazza San Marco around the corner and a view to take your breath away. The hotel transpires history and the building is just out of this world with those marble walls and the beautiful architecture. The staff is helpful, efficient and nice enough and the facilities are well maintained, cleaned and very charming.
The food. The bar menu and the room service are totally inadeguate. The menu is very small. No local dishes are served and the continental international ones are nothing special. All served at ridiculously high prices which I will be happy to pay for 5 starts quality food. The room service is prompt and well organised. It's what you get in the plate that really spoils it all. We the prices charged, the food should be really good. It disappointed so much that we didn't even try the terrace restaurant that apparently is very good instead.
Bathroom toiletries are scarce. So if two people want to take a bath, you better take your own shower gel with you. Once something has been used (shower caps for example), it will never be replaced. We stayed four nights and toiletries just got fewer and fewer by the day.
Generally speaking, the management could try a little harder instead of living off reputation and location only.

location and the building is impressive
by Italian standards there is very poor service, impersonal, lazy and slow.
I was very disappointed.
room service like in 3 star b&b, not fit for 5* hotel at all.

Reception and senior restaurant staff were quite snooty. We were dismissed in preference to someone they thought more influential/wealthy. I think they were mislead!
