Great staff interaction with kids & us.
Great pool.
WiFi worked well on 1 side of the pool & restaurant. Not anywhere else.
A bit tired & outdated.
Not enough pool towels. I had the same one for 3 days as there were never fresh ones when I went to the activities hut to replace.
Keep your wet one & try to dry overnight as you may not get one the next morning.

The view from our room was lovely. The beach at low-tide went for miles (enjoyed lovely long walks on it). Found our room - at the end of the resort - quiet and peaceful. We liked that WiFi was only available in reception or the dining room as we felt we had a real break - but it could be annoying for others.
It felt abit 'Faulty Towers' like at times. We had more than one saga over towels. We arrived late to find our Bure available - but with no towels. As it was midnight we decided not to hassle reception until morning. It became an hour long saga to get towels with excuses ranging from 'it's too dark in the laundry room' to 'the door is locked' ... we also had difficulties getting pool towels with the desk twice running our mid-morning. The Tandoori food options were excellent but everything else average to poor. The room needed maintenance - replacing the peeling paint in the bathroom would be a good start.

The receptionist was nice
First of all i checked in at 2 but got my key at 6pm due to technical delay, nil compensation.
Failed to get room service because "restaurant was too busy to even answer my call" as per the evening receptionist.
I found a cockroach crawling in our room
One of the maids unlocked my room at 10am, despite us being inside the room and not displaying any signs to get the room cleaned
The scrambled egg at breakfast was just probably the left over from the pan, got burnt parts on my plate.
Wouldnt encourage locals to visit the place

Great absolute beach front location. Comfortable Bure with air con and comfy bed. Service of room was a little erratic but got there.
The main road to Suva is behind the property so traffic noise from heavy vehicles at night was noticeable in our Bure

When I first walked in and gave my names and details for online booking the female staff was unable to find my booking which I had booked online and told me to show the proof of my bookings and to forward it to her which was time consuming and then after I showed my online booking after about 10 minutes I was finally told to get my luggage in ,I was lucky enough to get a security staff help me get my suitcase and belongings from my rental car to the room and on way back from the car park I had to walk back to the staff who had served me to receive the keys to my room .

It was great that they had food there. At breakfast they would custom make you an omelette. There was a good selection of other foods there too. We ate dinner there twice. The food was good. I just wish there were better gluten free options. We didn't use the pool. The ocean was right there and beautiful. The bungalows were very cute. The grounds were planted with pretty plants and well kept. The people running the place were very friendly and helpful.
The facility itself is aging and could use some maintenance in some areas.

Was an average place to stay.
Extremely disappointing. Initially booked at Landers Resorts with own private pool but was moved to Fiji Hideaway (sister resort) as there was a "Block Booking" coming in - I assume wedding. I don't see how this is allowed to happen just because a bigger group is coming in and they want the complete resort :(:(:(. Should of been given option to stay. Rooms at Fiji Hideaway need soundproofing. You can hear everything that goes on in the next room :(. Shower head pressure extremely poor. Dining area is completely out dated. Needs major overhaul. Needs better meals choices.

Staff was very welcoming and took real good care of us.They are super nice with the kids. The entertainment team there always has something or the other on and make a great effort to keep thia guests entertained throughout. water sports are nice. the staff tries their best with the limited reaources they they
Few things-
1. the food menu needs sincere reconsideration. there are very little choices. Ita a true led down which will ensure guests dont come again.
2. The head chef is so arrogant and does not like suggestions or criticism. When i spoke to him about the veg meals and improvements he was totally pissesd off and did not speak to me at all
3. alot of maintenance is required in the resort. in our room, some lights , dryer and the switches werent working. water logging in the basin and bathroom. The resort has seen good days but needs an upgrade
4. its quite secluded so there are chances you get bored and might also need a 20 min ride to go eat out

The Bure with outdoor shower was amazing! Super comfortable and affordable. Loved access to the pool and beach for snorkeling and kayaking. Staff super nice.
Some of the food options were just ok. Breakfast was consistently great.

Location is fantastic. Beach is beautiful & view from the room of the beach can’t be beaten. Food nice but a little pricey. Would be good to have some smaller/lighter options.
Only access to Wifi is in the reception area, which frankly is a very poor.

Beautiful location. Great set-up with bure's.
Because there is nothing else close-by I feel they take advantage if this. Some food and drinks very expensive.

The parking which was across the road

Locatoin was good, it offered enough privacy.
Like many bigger hotels, no individuality in this hotel eighter. We booked the higher rate room on the beach, but there was not any sunbed! And they did not allow to take one from the other beach area, too. Although some guests did so.... they draged the beds back every night....
And personal did not have any answer whatever we asked them.... beginning with "what soup is today's soup of the day in your menu?"...
You have to manage everything on your own there!

The view was nice.
The resort was closing at the end of that week. It seemed as if the guest experience did not matter. The food was not satisfactory. Very poor dinners. Not good value. I would not recommend Hideaway Resort

Fantastic location with watersports in the lagoon out the front of the resort (snorkeling, kayaks, SUP, fishing etc). You are able to wander past the resort to explore the rocks at low tide. A village is a short walk away, the resort activities have a few options for a guided visit. Plenty of activities on offer to entertain. Plenty of options on the menu, with different specials every night and options of buffet dinners. The staff are wonderful, always meet with a Bula! and very helpful too.
Yes the resort is tired and not all facilities were open but it is being renovated Feb/March 2023. No other restaurants or shops near by without transport. Traffic can be heard from our rooms.

Layout and design of villas and bures is a big positive. Beachside villa is great. Grounds were immaculate and very beautiful. Beach offers good swimming at the western end and some interesting snorkeling at the eastern end. The staff are the real bonus and really make the difference, we loved them!
Food is plentiful but ordinary. No traditional Fijian fare sadly. Staff need to be reminded about basic expectations of travellers. On arrival there needs to be milk in the fridge and a laundry bag. Tea, coffee, sugar, toiletries and toilet paper must be replenished regularly. Air-conditioner and fan must be checked for working condition and batteries in remote replaced regularly. Blinds in rooms must be able to be closed fully.

Breakfast was simple but ample as you can eat as much as you want
The chef who cooked the eggs did this beautifully
Slow to deliver the towels, cold tap water was slow in flowing, toilet did not flush, phone not working at all
Overall, the place is outdated and we were told that it will be closed for renovations
It was my return trip and no bonus or upgrade given as the reception said it was too late as a room was already allocated.
Outdoor shower taps were not working.

Omelette and hash browns at breakfast, slide in main pool, good kayaks, good vibes during a daily sundance routine and a handful of staff (e.g. Henry).
Overall, would never stay or recommend Fiji Hideaway to anyone. Management should seriously consider retraining staff and improving service and quality of facilities.
Booked an Oceanview Bure but received a room with barely a sliver of ocean views
