Great resort, nice Bures, good restaurant and bar, with reasonable prices. All staff are super friendly and helpful. Beautiful gardens. Free and ample parking on site. Loved watching the sunset over the ocean every evening. Highly recommended.

Mango bay was not what we expected from photos, beautiful setting but accommodation terrible, stayed in a beachfront burie, cockroaches in room, very dirty, toilet not able to flush and appears to have been this way for some time and same for others, outdoor shower left grit in hair, left early due to unsanitary conditions, but were declined a refund, Staff, especially Tina were lovely, manager didn’t acknowledge us or deem to discuss concerns on
leaving, not worth the money

Loved my stay here. Very praceful and quite. Menu & drink options are good. Private and peaceful beach.

We booked 7 nights but only stayed 2, was happy to cut our loses and move to a more upmarket resort nearby. I really don't like to write bad reviews about our stays. My big mistake when booking here was only to read the good reviews. I should have read the bad ones which were pretty spot on in hindsight.
Having said that , i believe some people might like it here although i found it isolated and dreadful and couldn't get out quick enough.
Just not my cup of tea , expected way better when you consider the rates are almost on par with the more well known resorts.

Rooms renovated shower damaged n washroom not up to level. No heated water. Had to clean the wall fans so to get clean air.
I love the delicious tasty paid food but they should add more on included breakfast menu

This property is right on the water with views you cannot not beat! The customer service was incredible and the property itself is like out of a magazine!

Great place to stay if you just want relaxation by the beach. Staff are so friendly. It is a bit out of the way which we liked as it meant there wasnt an overload of people.

Fantastic stay, a small very quiet resort with a very personal touch. Owner extremely helpful and always available. Staff are amazing with a very personal touch.
Accommodation was a rustic cabin with an open air bathroom, which gave the stay a really rural feel.
If you’re looking for a modern shiny ceramic and chrome type hotel then this wouldn’t be for you.
Overal a great vacation.

Ed and the Mango Bay team went out of their way to make sure we had an enjoyable stay and an amazing week in Fiji.
We stayed in an oceanview bungalow which was close to the pool and restaurant/bar area and really comfortable with a lovely outdoor shower and the convenience of a fridge in the room.
Continental breakfast was included in our booking served from 7:30-9:30. It had the normal coffee/tea/juice/toast and cereal and also included fresh fruit and a local pastry. Food is available all day and is lovely and fresh with daily specials which always include a local fish recipe. The cocktails are great too and you can’t beat having a pina colada in the pool!
The pool is lovely and big with sun loungers and a couple of cabanas. There are standup paddle boards, kayaks and snorkels/masks which guests can use for free at high tide. You can also walk along the beach/reef at low tide.
Ed was really knowledgable about local tours and booked the tubing tour for us (not to be missed) as well as giving us advice on getting the local bus so we could do the Bula coffee tour (also recommended) and see the town of Sigatoka. We also arranged a transfer direct with the hotel which was much easier (and cheaper) than using a local company.
Overall we had a greet stay and were made to feel really welcome and part of the Mango Bay family!

Mango bay resort is a beautiful private little resort with bungalows in a lovely tropical garden. The beach is right in front of the restaurant for a beautiful view and free snorkelking, kayaking and paddle boarding in the private bay. Food was delicious (love the Fish tacos), prompt and very affordable. Ed and his team are very friendly and go above and beyond to help you and make it a great experience to stay there. We just got home yesterday and are already missing the place.

We booked Mango Bay for the location, between Sigatoga and Suva. The proprietors Ed and Jen were always approachable and really liked that they would spend time getting to know their guests.
The grounds were well landscaped at all times and the canoes, snorkeling and paddleboards in excellent condition.
All the staff from Reception, House Keeping, Kitchen and the Bar made you feel so welcome with happy smiles as they went about the day.
Vinaka!

We really liked our stay here, staff is friendly and the owner dropped us at the bus station 2km further. It was quiet, we were about 8 people at the same time for the entire resort. The garden bure was huge (2 bathrooms) and confortable. The resort is isolated but perfect for some rest. Snorkeling & kayaking were free and the reef was magical. Restaurant was good but sometimes not in huge quantity. We recommend this place to anyone who like peace.

I can't say enough good things about this resort. We arrived late because of flight delays but they had someone waiting for us to greet us at the resort gate. They kept the kitchen open so we could have something to eat. Right from the start, everyone was extremely helpful, friendly and professional. We stayed in an ocean front Bure and it was everything I was hoping for. A thatched hut, shower outside to give an authentic experience. The food was the best we ate in Fiji and reasonably priced . Mango, Kelanie and Pablo the resident dogs are there if you are missing your fur baby at home and so super friendly. Atmosphere is Fiji time so if you want to relax you have the spot. Plenty of water equipment to snorkel, sea kayaking, day trips as much or as little as you want. Ed the owner is very accommodating to you needs so if you forgot anything, ask Ed. I wish we were closer than half way around the world away or I would go more often. Thanks Ed and staff for an amazing experience.

The owner and staff were especially helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.
Not a swish upmarket resort but a very personal, friendly, relaxing place.

Pros Very remote ,freindly staff and affordable holiday.
Nice swimming pool, free breakfast.
Cons long way from any where and definitely need mosquito net in burrei.
Conclusion Covid has hurt this resort but they are trying very hard to get moving

We loved our stay at Mango Bay. Stunning setting, beautiful gardens, great friendly staff, snorkeling outside the resort when you were experienced enough to venture out and look. Resort arranges boat trips for you but really you can amuse yourself without going far. The food was great and everything was reasonably priced.

The resort was exactly what we were looking for, secluded , quiet and relaxing.we experienced a bit of the Fijian way of life . The Bure are very simple, both furnitures and ammenities are very eco friendly,if you’re looking for luxury this is Not for you.The owners Jen and Ed are extremely friendly and will bend backwards to accommodate you and help you in any way and together with all their staff they make an exceptional team.We loved their three dogs Mango, Pablo and Calana. We did snorkeling, kayaking, standing paddle boarding . They also have a swimming pool and a private beach…if you want to get away from all the luxury we strongly recommend Mango Bay.

We really enjoyed the remoteness of Mango Bay Resort; the people there are friendly, helpful and accommodating! It is a relaxing, simple, huts-on-the-beach place, with great food, bar, swimming pool, and easy access to the ocean - best place we have stayed in Fiji!

I loved my time at Mango Bay Resort. Such a beautiful property, a bit off the beaten path but that was perfect for some good r&r for my last few days in Fiji. Upon arriving, all the staff was so friendly and welcoming. Tina, Ili, Alicia, Naomi, Meli, Seta, and the others were all so pleasant and great to talk to throughout my stay. The resort owners, Ed and Jen, were also great to talk to and made lots of good suggestions of things to do while on the Coral Coast. Ed even connected me with his tattoo artist, as getting a tattoo while in Fiji was an important to-do on my list. The resort dogs, Mango and Pablo, both had such cute personalities and definitely added to my stay. I highly recommend Mango Bay Resort for anybody looking for a quiet, remote, and restful stay while on the Coral Coast. I'll definitely be back! :)

This is very isolated. Not good for single travellers. No Wi-Fi in rooms. Place feels neglected. I cut my visit short and went back to nadi. Scenery from nadi in the way beautiful though. Go visit villages etc.

Ed and Ken were excellent host and even matched our discounted prices for extra nights. we spent a great time speaking about the country, enjoying the quite place and homey food.

Mango Bay is a quaint and smaller resort with a family feel. The bures are older...but I believe thats what lends to its charm. Our bure was thoroughly cleaned every day. The bed was very comfortable. The Fijian staff were friendly and caring. The food was fresh...and prepared to our preferences. Mango Bay is about half a mile from the road...which makes it a quiet location very close to the beach and ocean! Our bure faced the beach...and a short, 200-foot walk put my feet in the warm Pacific waters :) If I ever get the chance to return to Fiji...I would definitely stay at Mango Bay again!

The property is gorgeous, especially at sunset and full tide. Snorkeling was amazing, we enjoyed the complimentary activities such as daily family fish feeding, Java ceremony, pineapple smashing, and the water sports, such as snorkeling, stand up paddle board and kayaking. They also offer a free Dive class, and other paid activities.

Had two kids so booked specifically because of pool and advertised Wifi in all rooms. But reality was NO wifi in rooms and pool broken green-brown and closed with no prior warning. We were told at check-in that it had only been broken for two days and would be fixed the next day. Reality was that it had been broken for over a week and was down for most of our trip - kids were not impressed. Owner skulked around and was most unfriendly barely acknowledged guest and offered no apology nor any compensation. So called included free breakfast was cereal or toast. Cups, glasses and cutlery was constantly running out. Planned events were basically just written up on a board and left for you to do yourself.
STAFF THEMSELVES, HOWEVER WERE WONDEFUL LOVERLY AND FRIENDLY. LOVED THE STAFF. AND STRANGELY ENOUGH STILL ENJOYED OUR STAY HEAPS.

Overall a good experience. Rooms were a bit dusty but bathrooms were clean. The property is very beautiful and the beach is amazing. They had plenty of activities for you to do including, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding. There is two villages you can walk to on either side of the resort and everyone is very friendly. Lots of mosquitoes, so bring bug repellent. I mainly got bites in my room and not near the beach area. Food was priced okay and very good. If you meet a man named Ben, you can buy fresh coconuts off him. He has the best coconuts. Overall a good experience here and I would come back. Thank you.

I enjoyed the location, the layout, the menu, and the staff. It was a delight to be able to swim right off the beach at high tide, too!

The pictures of the property is quite deceiving online. Was very disappointed when we arrived, rooms not maintained, worms coming out from the shower and the hand basin taps was disgusting. The best part of our stay was the beach.

The staff are all beautiful people! They all took their time to know our names and was always making sure that we were taken care of and having a good time. The view from the resort is breathtaking! Only suggestion would be that some maintenance needs to be taken out in the rooms to make them more cleaner.

Staff - amazing! You’re guaranteed a great time and new friendsIncredible location and a very intimate resort where everyone mingles. Unfortunately the maintenance on the bures could do with some serious upgrading and some things could do with a good scrub. Linen is old and needs replaced.

Mango Bay has the makings of a nice resort but I encountered a few issues during my one night stay:1) When I checked in, they could not find my name. They pulled up the Expedia booking but seemed even more confused. Told me to wait by the pool. I go there to wait for abt an hour. No one comes back to me to tell me the room is ready. Instead another staff member has me confused for someone else and goes check on my behalf. If she didnt, I dont know how long Id have waited there.2) Food portions at dinner was small and unsatisfying. Myself and the other guests staying at the dorm joked that we might have to munch on biscuits. Also, the toilet by the pool side looks very worn out. The cubicle doors have to be wrestled to close or open. 3) At night, a bunch of UK students partied and made so much noise. Had to plug in some music to sleep. 4) Checking out the next morning, the bill shows that Im charged AGAIN for accomodation (even though I have already paid through Expedia) and pool towels. I tell them I did not use any pool towels and that Ive already paid. They tell me that the person who checked me in yesterday wrote me as a walk-in guest hence the charge. I was confused since I literally SAW them pull up the booking email yesterday. Anyway, the staff eventually removed the extra charges. All in all, I was glad I was only staying for a night.

The staff are local Fijian villagers. These people were awesome in every way! We made sincere friendships with several of the staff while there. They also took awesome care of a bad cut I got on my hand when I slipped and feel while wading rocks fishing (the hospital was out of the dark ages and a scary place). The I hope to go back just to continue building friendships with the true Fijian locals. The locals also take pride in Mango Resort as if it is a representation of themselves since it is adjacent their village. If not for the staff, the resort would be a failure. The owner does not take care of the property (he did put a new roof on one house while we were there, the first time in 20 years so maybe he will start to do proper upkeep??). The owner underpays his staff also but the staff love 'their resort' and take pride in it despite the bad ownership. The showers do not drain and have not for a long time. The on-demand gas hot water heaters shut off every minute or so without warning so I had to constantly be fooling it into restarting by turning off the cold water and then to prevent getting scalded, would have to carefully turn back on cold water once I heard the gas flame ignite again... The owner needs to put shelving into the bures (houses) so one can get their clothes out of suitcases that have to otherwise lay on the floor... Coral Coast is a poor region, not a place for people expecting a rich peoples resort vacation. Go to outer island for that!

What I would say is unique about the resort is the people. Despite compensation they all take time to get to know you on a deeper level than just worker and guest. The one that stood out most to me was Jon the activities director and maintenance supervisor.
