Nice basic clean and comfortable room. Friendly staff.
No bar or restaurant facilities. Wi-Fi was very intermittent.

Nothing
Waiting 15 minutes in reception until someone turned up. It was dark and dingy. The photos on Booking.com do not in any way reflect what the hotel is actually like. The bar wasn't open, and the restaurant wasn't open. There was a domestic dispute in reception, with a woman screaming and swearing. The corridor to my room stank of stale cigarettes. My room was basic. I think the furniture was reclaimed from a skip and the toilet didn't flush

location and beautiful building or could be.
Well! the wallpaper was hanging off, toilet seat broken and not actually attached to the toilet, dead wasps in the bath, cupboard door was broken off and just stood leaning up against cupboard, punch holes in walls and doors, and the worst without stealing one liners from Goldilocks was someone had slept in the bed, and the sheets hadn’t been changed, I could smell the perfume on the pillow and sheets. The whole place smelled like bob Marley had held a conference that very afternoon, you could get high by standing in the corridor for half hour. If it was a £25-30 a night I’d get it, but £55!! for £5 more you can stay in the Brooklyn which is simply stunning.

Location and our room was a good size
Hospitality on arrival was negative reception in poor state and stair case to room. Dirty towels left in corridor and broken chairs.
The hotel needs a complete overall

Dirty room dirty shower broken bed no staff to be seen, I’m guessing it’s an old guy owns it and his family have left it to rot…looks nice from the outside tho.

The bed was comfortable and the bed sheets were clean
Wifi available
Noone on arrival at the desk called the buzzer 3 times & called the number twice. Once up the 3 flights of stairs we had to go back down because the key given wasnt the right one. Lights flickering above the door in a dark corridor gives off the hills have eyes vibes. Just put it in a new bulb .
Bathroom floor filthy , curtain hanging off window, sink mucky and had to wash the bath out too before using because it was full of dust and black things. Toilet seat came off instantly in hand on 1st use when my partner lifted it to use .
Main room smelt strongly of cigarette and that old cigarette smell remained the whole of our two night stay which we assumed was inbedded in curtains and carpet.. Carpet beyond gross with huge dark patches and socks were sticky on it. Lamps all needed a good clean cobwebs hanging off them. Mirrors dirty. Opened the door to the balcony and a piece of wall came off in hand.
Understanding old building and quirks. But being filthy and smelly is not acceptable for the price being paid. Complained half way through stay and nothing from it not even a manager coming to see us to apologise. After coming back to see family and have visited this hotel many times over the years very disappointed

Checked in with my daughter. We stayed for 5 minutes. The room smelled awful, the bathroom stank of cigarettes, we couldn’t open the window to air it. The only chair in the bedroom was so stained I didn’t sit on it. The twin beds wobbled when we sat on them. We stayed long enough to book the local Premier Inn (which was cheaper) and left, I didn’t even argue about a refund. I’ve always said I could stay anywhere for one night, this place proved me wrong. You couldn’t pay me to stay.

it was on a very busy road. hot pipes running through room in a heatwave was like having a radiator on full. needs work as was quite tatty and grubby in parts. only one bedside light. bathroom very small and shower was trickle of water. luckily we had eaten before getting there as restaurant and bar was closed.

Plenty of parking.
The whole place appeared to be undergoing renovation - we were not warned about this in advance or told about any special arrangements for check-in etc. (we were told that there was no catering available, so no complaints about that). Whole place was locked-up when we arrived and it took ages to attract anybody's attention to be let in. The only staff we saw was a teenager/twenty-something who knew nothing about anything, apart from where to find some towels.
