Breakfast was good.
The room lighting was poor and not enough spare charging sockets for two people. It was very busy with a lot of kids running around which was disturbing for sleep. The shower was in the Bathub which is not good for showering. I use holiday inn hotels frequently the rooms in this hotel felt very cramped. Also you have to pay for parking aswell.

Location was great for getting us to Southampton.
At reception tried to charge us for parking. Booking.com said free parking.
Reception honoured us & did not charge us.

every smelt fisty, hotel was very run down and dirty. beds very hard, daughter slept on floor as was more comfortable than sofa bed. corridors to rooms made me feel really sick drom the smell, clearly the hotels had some bad leaks. Pillows and bedding wasnt all clean

The location itself was brilliant. The room was perfectly clean and exactly what we needed for the night. Great value for money if your in a fully functioning room.
After checking in and having showers / starting to get ready we realised that the air con unit was dripping all over one of the beds. When you put the card in the ac automatically comes on. I went down to reception to report this as I had turned the unit off and it was still dripping. The bed was absolutely soaking right through to the mattress. After speaking to a meme of staff the manager (I think) said she was fully booked so couldn’t move us due to having multiple weddings in. I said that was completely fine but I needed new bedding / mattress as it was soaking. The manager snapped and said when she had chance she would come up and turn the unit off at the mains (tried to explain that wouldn’t work as I had turned it off and it was still dripping). One of my main concerns was it soaking through the carpet onto the ceiling of the room below creating a bigger problem after we had moved the bed. We went out came back the ac was still dripping, the bed was still soaking too. Granted the next morning the lady at reception offered us a full refund as I had slept on the floor for the evening. This was probably a one time thing that this had happened as the place was brilliant and had everything that was needed, the room was immaculate and perfect location. Just the fact I had to sleep on the floor let it down! Havinf said that everyone has off days and forgets things and this hasn’t put us off from returning again but for that reason that’s why I rated it the way I did.

We arrived after a 4 hour drive from Essex arriving after 11pm we had a problem with the card payment which the gentleman that was on the desk helped us with and a solution so we could enjoy our stay.
The gentleman then went above and beyond to give us a warm welcome he is a credit to Holiday inn.

The location is ideal if you are visiting Stoke Fc or as a location to travel onto Alton towers.
The staff were very friendly and helpful a breakfast time.
Fire alarm at 11pm.
The shower was awful, the worst me and my son have ever had. It had no pressure and such little water.
Room was very hot at night and the thermostat was very very noisy. Woken several times during the night due to the heat and noise in the hotel.

The breakfast being included was much appreciated.
Could've done without the 7.30am false fire alarm but these things happen.

Clean, warm comfy , great breakfast 😊
Parking charges for car park.
Coffee machine not working
Not enough milk in room

The bed was very comfortable, the room was a good size and clean. Tea and coffee was provided and a hair dryer. Also iron and ironing board.
Big tv. Plenty of electric sockets. Great breakfast which was hot and fresh, lots of choice.
The lighting was awful, the long mirror was nowhere near the light. The bathroom was a wet room so after a shower the floor was soaked, and again not enough light.

Welcomed with a smile, despite arriving after midnight - the reception staff know I was coming and welcomed me by name when I arrived at the desk. Room and bed exactly as expected. Good breakfast. All together excellent value and exactly what I needed to get a good start for the day's work. Would use again if in the area
Bit difficult to find, but not a major problem. Breakfast until 10am on weekdays would be nice.

Vi skulle på Stoke-kamp, så da er beliggenheten perfekt. Også enkelt å ta en direkte buss inn til byen.
Og så var resepsjonisten veldig hyggelig og hjelpsom.
Kaldt.
Pannekakemaskinen var ute av drift 😅

Clean and tidy as usual
Sausages . Just three in the tureen at 8:50 they were inedible .looked charred
Bacon . That was very over cooked. To the extent I broke a tooth.
I managed a spoon of eggs and beans .
As an insulin dependant diabetic I HAVE to eat at regular intervals .
In many visits to Holiday Inn Express this was by a long way the worst ever . We are booked in Taunton in December and again in January…….fingers very firmly crossed these are going to be a totally different experience … Stoke is usually tip top ….

Breakfast was disorganised, a self service buffet with no plates and limited cutlery
staff were friendly, easy check in and even provided toothbrushes as we forgot ours. Bed was comfy and the room was clean

Breakfast was good with a wide variety to choose from.
Staff were very kind and friendly, they deserve a raise.
Room was clean. Toilet was clean. Overall cleanliness of the entire building was high quality, including Staff cleaning tables during breakfast time.
Generally inviting. Thick walls and good soundproofing.
Got bitten by bugs each night of the stay which are still itching days later.
Cleaning staff came in and re-dressed the beds despite us putting up the sign indicating we didn't want servicing.
Sheets were not fitted properly to the beds and had to be re-done each night (as the cleaning staff messed them up again during the day).
Room did not have hot chocolate powder alongside teabags and coffee despite request.

Staff were warm and welcoming. Room was clean and fresh.
The complimentary breakfast wasn’t great. No fried eggs only scrambled. Few baked beans left. Sausages didn’t feel like they had any real meat in them. The coffee machine did not work so we had to make do with basic instant coffee.
