I didn't like anything! I ended up booking into another guesthouse!
The room was very basic. it just wasn't very nice. The shared toilets were dirty looking as was the shared bathroom. It wasn't quite what I was expecting. I didn't stay here at all I booked in somewhere else.
The usual things like a towel and tv were missing from the room.
Having stayed in budget rooms, this sadly was lacking in facilities.

Nothing
Dirty no facilities just a room with a bed dirty mattress and sheets

The bathroom was clean
The hotel appearance and surroundings were dilapidated. The sheets were dirty. The manager gave me a dirty towel. The wardrobe was dusty.

Good location and easy to find.. Good value for the money .
The room wasn't clean, the beside locker was so dirty, and the bin was full, not emptied .The common bathroom was not up to standard, though it was clean. Generaly ,the place is still under renovation. There is not enough space for packing.

It was clean.
No coat hangers, no bin in the room or the bathroom. A very peculiar check in time of 16.30 ! My biggest complaint though is the fact you don’t get any towels ! I travel fairly regularly, and stay in hotels, guest houses and Airbnb properties about 12 times per month, and this is the ONLY place I have never been supplied with towels. More worrying was the fact that there was not any information regarding procedures in the event of a fire. The next problem was the instructions for checking out. I was told to go to a room opposite and leave my keys in a trainer. The problem was that the room in question was locked, so I couldn’t. When you turn the bedroom light off you will need a torch to get back to the bed as there are no bedside lamps. There was a big nail sticking out of the wall, right next to the bed though ? Stayed at this location about 30 years ago on several occasions and it was great. It IS NOT great anymore, and I will definitely NEVER stay here again.

We arrived and we’re greeted by a present man when we got to our room the beds were disgusting and had been slept in the bedding didn’t fit the so called bed there were electrical wires hanging out of walls we decided to book another hotel and left immediately felt very unsafe there it’s more of a half way house
Needed fresh bedding.
A proper bed base that fits the mattress
A tv wouldn’t go a miss
And redecoration

Having our own space
The environment is ok, but there seems to be a pet in distress close by that kept making very loud noise.
The facility needs a total overhaul

I stayed at this GH under it's previous owners many, many times and sent a goodly number of customers their way - the price has always been attractive and the location works well for visits to central Stoke on Trent (and for my work).
The decor has been updated by the new owners through a lot of the property, it's neat and tidy for the most part (esp. given ongoing works) and it is spotlessly clean, despite the fact there there still appear to be decorating and minor building jobs in progress.
After an intitial wait to try and locate my booking, Rudy, the new owner (I presume) was welcoming and seemed a warm personality.
There was an initial to-ing and fro-ing about my booking but TBH, that wasn't even an irritation to me but might faze some visitors - it was quickly sorted out, though.
I was a little surprised to find no towel in the room - not a big problem but an odd ommission in a room with a sink.
I'd guess it's work-in-progress but a table lamp or bedside lamp would have been handy, and / or a table or worktop of some sort.
The "communal area" was in a bit of chaos but I think that was the result of the building / decorating work.
It might have been better to delay taking bookings until all the preparatory work for a "facelifted" Victoria GH was complete ...

Good location for what I needed. Plenty of street parking. Easy to find. Bedding appeared new. Sink in the room. Use of a microwave and also tea / coffee / kettle - all available in communal area. Check in advertised until 18:00hrs, though I was able to confirm they would allow a little later. Think they need to revise this, as 18:00hrs cut off is too early.
Whole place looks like a work in progress. Very sparse room - not even a bin (though there were some that looked new in the communal area) No coat hangers. Blind doesn’t cover window. Radiator was on in communal area in the evening, but not able to switch it on in room, therefore was a bit cold. Communal area was cold in the morning, as heating not on (was frosty outside) No TV. No WiFi, though I was aware of this before I booked (I have my own mobile WiFi) Would suggest if having paying guests stay then more attention should be made to the facilities. Not the cheapest place I’ve stayed in, but it should be for what is provided. Board outside advertises as a B&B - barely gets the first B and definitely not the second. I did take some photos, but Booking.com doesn’t appear to have the chance to upload them.
