Indeally located very close to the Royal Mile. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Very little to be honest.
A few small points wbich I picked up on, and informed them about, ...but they weren't complaints as such..
"Over priced!".I think, .but all the hotels seem to be, when the Tattoo and Fringe is on!

The Scotsman Hotel is located right next to the Waverley Train Station thus very convenient for train travellers. The hotel rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. In overall terms, we are absolutely happy with staying at the Scotsman Hotel.

The staff were brilliant. Especially Ivor the primary concierge; he is a true star.
Nothing; all good.

Emplacement parfait. On peut tout faire à pied. Chambre spacieuse.

Beautiful, clean and fantastic location.

Stunning hotel, staff were lovely!
We got engaged in the hotel and the reception staff organised some fizz for us, very thoughtful!
There was a loud busy electrical sound coming from a cupboard in our room, 402. Im a light sleeper and it made it hard to sleep.

Everything was amazing

Everything it was fabulous
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like it was superb

The hotel was beautiful.
We didn’t get the complimentary newspaper and our tv didn’t work. I called on multiple occasions to have it fixed as I would have liked to have connected to Netflix or anything really to watch a movie on my birthday evening however I was told on our second day that our tv wasn’t a smart tv even though it had all the apps on the tv and it is supposed to be included in the room.
4.3
location and breakfast
too many steps to get to rooms

Perfect location

The old building with a cinema!
The bed was very hard and very high. Room not serviced until afternoon. No bottle opener!
4.3
Very modern, with a nice view of the city and friendly staff too. Room was also clean and quite fancy in service and bathroom toiletries. Clean and very secure too, made to feel like your true personal ownership of room
Windows we’re practically trapped to open up. Along with that on the first day our AC was not working. We were provided a fan and next day before leaving for the day, I left a note mentioning AC to be fixed, to which it was. Still, windows open would’ve been nice.
4.3
The location was outstanding, 3 of the total staff only were hard working and very friendly
The cleaning process was very bad the cleaning personnel did not change the sheets even when we ASKED for it more than once there were stains all over the carpet and pillow cases and it was obvious that no vacuum done at all during our stay, also there was a situation where we needed urgent help from the staff but they done nothing but googling the information with no effort to help at all . The attitude of the staff and the hygiene doesn’t meet the value we paid and the hotel rate. I exclude mr Ivor concierge and the two breakfast staff unfortunately and don’t recall their names
4.3
Location, staff friendly, decent breakfast
Over priced for what you got in my opinion
4.3
Very nice hotel & very nice story with the newspaper.
The view to the working bridge and the lack of heat in the firs evenings.
4.3
Great staff and location.
Noise from 4th floor function carried to 9th floor rooms until function finished at 1am. Poor night's sleep due to this.
4.3
The room was big and the bed was comfortable
4.3
Location. Nicely appointed room
Dingy/dirty rugs in hall near elevator and by rooms. TV channel line up was bad. Noise from cleaning staff in the hallway was disruptive
4.3

Not really the hotels fault just had bad bad bad room next to are room who thought it was a good idea kicking doors at half 4 in the morning. Hardly slept the two nights we was there.
4.3
Very clean and updated rooms/bathrooms. The shower was really fantastic! Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The beds were pretty stiff and the pillows were extremely thin which we found to be not the most comfortable.
4.3
it is lovely, big rooms!
4.3
The hotel is very clean. The staff were so friendly, it was the perfect, quiet room to recover from days of plane travel.
I loved the fire as you entered.. Handy to the Royal Mile, the main train station.
I had a comfortable bed and slept in quiet. The complementary nightcap was much appreciated. Lovely bathroom and shower.
Nothing, it was all good.
4.3
There was some weird unpleasant smell around the elevator all the time.
4.3
Fantastic location, and the staff were so friendly and helpful.
Decor looks better in the photos, looking a little worn out in person - but this is the only negative.
4.3
Very pleasant one night stay. Everything was as it should be.
