Horrible experience!! Do not recommend this “all inclusive” hotel/resort. Very outdated, you need to pay for wifi and for the password in order to use the lockbox in the room. There were cockroaches walking by the food on the buffet area. Very disappointed about our 1 night stay because we traveled for the weekend and ended up having to find another place to stay so the weekend wouldn’t be completely ruined. We were supposed to stay for 4 nights but only stayed there 1 night. We are still waiting for our money to be returned to us.

The location is great. Las Galeras is a paradise, the beaches are beautiful 😍. The hotel has an amazing beach and the room where we stayed was very spacious, nicely decorated and very comfortable.
The facilities are not well kept. The kids area we were hoping to use is not available until further notice. The staff is sort of tough. They do not seem to be happy with their work. The food wasn't good. The options were limited and they were reusing the food from lunch during diner time. Also, there were flies around the food specially fruits and salads 🥗.

EXCELLENT BEACH
THE ATTENTION OF THE STAFF
FOR ME AND MY FAMILY IT WAS THE WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE.
THE FOOD AND DRINK FOR THE SELECT PACKAGE WAS POOR OR NONE, I FEEL I WAS SCAMMED.
THE BREAKFAST JUICE WAS ARTIFICIAL.
THEY DID NOT HAVE WIFI.
THE DINNER MENU WAS POOR
THERE WAS NO FOOD OPTION FOR THE CHILDREN, IT IS POOR.
LITTLE SECURITY IN THE AREA.
THE SELECT OPTION WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE.
I PAID FOR THE SELECT OPTION AND I DID NOT GET ANY BENEFIT THEY DID NOT HAVE THE RESTAURANTS THAT THEY OFFERED IT WAS A MISTAKE.

The price we payed on Booking was different at check in; The distance; the staff members were unprofessional; the rooms were not clean and had a musty smell; no free WIFI; no safes in the rooms to lockup values; broken chairs all throughout the beach area which is a serious safety hazard; no procedures in place in case of an emergency, my mom cut half of her finger off on a lounge chair within 30 mins of arriving and the Emergency room or the reception assisted or called 911, we had to figure it out on our were to take her the closest clinic which was about an hour away. Do not recommend, it was a nightmare.

The Staff at Grand Paradise Samana were incredible. The location was perfect. Upon check in we were greeted by the very friendly front desk crew and guided to our rooms by our lovely luggage man. Although the front desk crew were very friendly and happy we were not told anything about our package or what was included. Different bracelets meant different options but we had to learn this for ourselves and it was a little confusing and frustrating. There technically was no “grand tour” of the facilities, the buffet was pointed out as we walked by as well as the towel hut.
They had a buffet every night which was OK, same things every day, not much verity, but also had a restaurant(s) where you could make reservations (we found this out by fellow travellers). We were there for two weeks and every time we wanted to book at the “themed restaurant” (seafood, Italian) they were always booked full. That was disappointing as we felt that was apart of our paid for package. The food experience for us was a total let down.
Henry the bar tender was fabulous! He went above and beyond his call of duty and we were so grateful for him for that. All the bartenders and servers were absolutely fabulous. The Entertainment Crew was another highlight. Mikiki, Katy, Joan and the rest of the ET crew thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication to your jobs. Our housekeeping crew was also very good. A little disappointed we didn’t have coffee to make in our room every morning but that was not the responsibility of the housekeeping crew as much as management to have had the proper supplies.
The location was just stunning, where the mountains and ocean collide and makes for some of the most stunning views I’ve seen while in the DR/RD.
Many small changes could be made to make this resort a 5 star. It wouldn’t take much. Just a little extra gratitude to those working so hard day after day. When you think of “Paradise”, that’s what you want and the money wasn’t worth the value unfortunately.

The food was poor , old and cold, the accomodations were not very clean and the hotel looks not taken care, the staff and the show were good. I will not go back there though. The prices were too high, the change of the dollar was 57 instead of the government fee was 54. I ended up pay $100 dollars more of the price at book.com
