The room was spacious and well equipped. The ensuite was well positioned
The bed was comfortable
The food was good quality and some interesting menu items. Good breakfast and free drinks appreciated
The location was good
Our request for 1 double bed a 1 single/twin bedded room was misunderstood and we were allocated 2 twin bedded rooms. This was rectified by the helpful lady who received us and changed the bed arrangements
The floorboards throughout the room were very noisy and squeaky.
The person in the next room had a loud phone call around midnight with a lot of noisy laughter which woke me up - so the room sound proofing is inadequate.
The promised wifi in the room was not available on both nights, despite informing the management. Internet access available only on ground floor which was disappointing.

Dinner was very good, good choice and very tasty. Staff friendly, free parking. Hotel has a lovely outlook and outdoor seating areas to be able to sit outside and have a drink and eat.
Left hotel early morning before 7am and asked for full invoice evening before and was told it would be emailed, but not received anything yet.

The room was large and inviting.
Dinner the evening of the 18th was excellent
Breakfast on the 19th was very good.
We requested to stay an extra night but this was a problem for the staff as no-one seemed to be able to give us an answer until the morning of the 19th.
Breakfast on the 20th was a disaster. Staff were unable to tell us when our food would be ready. At 9am there were no other visitors in for breakfast so it was not busy. A couple of visitors came in just after us but left in disgust after 35 mins of no service.
When our food arrived it was fine. We were not charged.
The service generally was poor and the staff busy 'doing other things'.

Family room was very spacious with lots of light and a large bathroom. Breakfast was pretty good. Friendly and welcoming staff.
Complimentary toiletries could have been better - including separate shampoo and conditioner for example. We didn't need it but maybe a bath for families staying would be useful. Bed was a little hard but perhaps personal preference.

I had a lovely large room with a large bathroom.
The bed was very uncomfortable and the room had not been cleaned properly. There really is no reason not to have a bath in these rooms, the bathrooms are plenty big enough!

beautiful rooms with lovely showers. nice pub downstairs with good food. pleasant and helpful staff. secure access to hotel side of the building.
I could hear coughing and the tv from the room next door and guests walking around their rooms on the floor above.

This wasn't the first time we have stayed at this hotel and it certainly will not be the last! The location is beautiful, the rooms are stunning and the beds are lovely and comfortable. The staff are fantastic and a great laugh. Despite being relatively close to a cross roads its very quiet and peaceful. We've always had a good night's sleep here. Breakfast is very tasty, although it's not the buffet style breakfast the food is cooked perfectly and very tasty! The shower is lush aswell! Being less able bodied I love the fact the shower isn't over a bath!
I couldn't find fault

Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Very helpful and friendly staff. Food good. Rooms were nice and clean and seem to have recently been refurbished. plenty of character. We did not have a dog with us but thought it was fabulous that dogs were more than welcome in the pub and treats/water were available at the door too for them.

I enjoyed all aspects of the hotel particularly the friendliness of the staff.
This was my second stay. On the first occasion I was allocated room 12 which was excellent. On this second visit however I was allocated room 14 which was rather cramped. I have since re booked to stay for a third time (22/3) and have requested that room 12 be made available to me. I am told by the hotel that my request will be granted. I hope so.

Lovely property and staff very helpful.
Food in restaurant rather pricey and some strange meal choices. Accommodation cost pricey considering breakfast extra and again pricey. Shame really as would like stay here again as a good location.

It's a lovely building, and our family room was a very good size. Everything was very clean. Breakfast's were made to order to (excellent) restaurant standard. Very well kept hand pulled ales at the bar, if you're into that (I am!). Staff were generally polite and friendly.
There was no hot water on checkout day, which is a big fail in my opinion. Worse - we weren't told, we had to find out ourselves. The child's sofa bed in the room was uncomfortable - my 7 year old complained. Sound proofing between rooms isn't great - we were kept awake between 5-6am by people getting up for a flight. The breakfasts were make to order which is great but the service was very slow - I'd prefer it to be much more snappy at that time of day.

From our lovely greeting.
Airy large room, pleasant decor.
Fantastic sleep, on a fabulous bed.
Lovely large and extremely clean bathroom.
All the linen, bed sheets, towels, and face cloths were pure white, crisp and clean. 10/10 for housekeeping.
Kettle, cups, waste bin, all clean.
Totally recommend and the staff could not have been more helpful.
Perhaps a little biscuit, sachet of hot chocolate would be yummy!
Coffee at breakfast could have been a lot hotter.

really cosy and friendly place to stay, we stayed in room 5 and it was a lovely big room, great welcome on arrival. All the staff were excellent and the breakfast was delicious with a wide menu option. we highly recommend staying here you won’t be disappointed
only slight negative was the bed was a little too firm but that’s personal preference
