I would never come back again!

Lounge area is spacious but wasn’t essential for us.

We had a bit of bad experience with the hotel, there was some drama happened when we first booked hotel, you can check the one star review I left on Google for they not refunding me the money after I cancel the booking if interested. The management each out to me few days later after I put up the review and agree to rebook for us if we pay for differences, so we did. It was around $300 for two nights. Then when we arrived and checked into the room (it was a match box size), and the bloody heater was on (it was in the middle of the day in early summer). The room feels like a sauna!! We asked the housekeeping lady (she was nice) to help us fix it, and she couldn’t. She told us it never happened before (so I’m not sure if they turn on the heater on purpose, I hope not, because that would be pathetic)! So we went back to the reception to request change a room, and they did. The second room was almost double the size, and the heater is not on (thank god)! Also the staff there has no smiles or whatsoever, completely different experience with where we went for the rest of the trip! The price is ridiculous, you would definitely expecting more with a hotel you pay $150 per night!

Séjour correct pour un prix abordable

Bon emplacement, prix abordable et chambre avec salle de bain privée confortable.

La salle de bain pourrait être un peu plus propre mais globalement ok!

這次紐西蘭住了三個Haka house系列的青旅，Rotorua的房間比較小，浴室的洗手台也超小。隔音很不好，但是床很好睡，公共空間很舒服，付費咖啡機裡的咖啡比店裡的好喝。門口有停車位，但是是屬於pink zone可以停一整天的，付費柱子在

廚房沒有油煙味，自動感應的排氣系統雖然每次都會被他的聲音嚇到，但真的很有用，跟別的青旅用的共用廚房比起來空氣清爽很多

隔音！不管是樓上的腳步聲、隔壁的電視、講話，洗澡的排水聲音，都可以聽得一清二楚的。

Not really a problem but the floor squeaked loudly just by the bed. I got up a couple of times during the night and worried about disturbing the room next door as you can hear the neighbours . Surprised at having to pay for parking across the road.

어딜가든 가깝고 깨끗함, 시내 안에 있는 볼거리들은 다 도보 가능하고 isite 도 걸을수 잇는 거리라, 다른 곳에 가기고 편함, 침대가 너무 편해사 잠이 잘 옴 :)

We would stay again after accepting a few flaws as clean and tidy

Bed was roomy and very comfortable, bedding/pillows were excellent, room was clean and loved having a mini fridge, easy to move around the facilities and kitchen was large and very well stocked with plates/cutlery/pots/etc, was very warm so needed to have our windows open which was a nice option

The strict "checkin from 2pm only" ment a bottleneck at front desk which was long line/process, also they mucked up our booking so didnt get an ensuite and the ladies toilets could have done with a good floor clean, the front gate security was not working so anyone could walk through it, walls in our room were paper thin so could hear the people next door snoring and a baby somewhere crying, couldnt fine a phone number for staff anywhere ended up ringing their "incase of emergency" ph number which was the night staff, and i found that in the kitchen,

Check that the door locks before assigning to a guest

Close to the centre and the kitchen facilities were good.

Our room door wouldn’t lock, told that nothing could be done and “it’s pretty safe here” even though the side gate was purposefully left open so anyone could walk in and straight into our room. Also the rooms were unbearably hot even with all the windows open. Left us feeling sick and lack of sleep even though it wasn’t even that hot outside. No aircon or fans. Also had to pay for coffee. Also have to pay for parking if you want secure parking and the street parking is also paid. So expensive for what you get. Probably wouldn’t stay again.

Would not stay again

Location was pretty convenient.

Very unpleasant stay. The rooms are small and lack good air circulation (no AC either). If you open the windows and shut the blinds at night, no air comes through. The shared showers don’t have any shelves to put your belongings on. The sinks in the bathrooms don’t have hot water! (Although the showers do.) The doors all over the hostel slam loudly - please add some cushions or small stoppers to avoid that. In general, the hostel doesn’t seem to be kept very clean. Definitely not worth the price.

Gut für eine Nacht - besser ins Restaurant gehen als in den schmutzigen Küchen kochen

Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer mit eigenem Badezimmer für eine Nacht gebucht. Das Zimmer war geräumig und die Betten bequem.

Es gibt zwei Küchen, was toll ist. Jedoch sind beide einfach nur abstossend. Ich verstehe, dass das Personal nich jeglichen Schmutz der Gäste wegputzen kann, jedoch muss sich da dringend etwas ändern! Ausserdem war unser Zimmer nicht gemacht, als wir nach Check-in Zeit ins Zimmer gehen wollten. Schade, das Haka House hätte wirklich viel Potential.

Too noisy

I like the room, everything there what you need A bit tight but there is enough space under the beds

They did not vacuum clean the floor. There were stones and black long hair laying around. It would be nice, when other guests would be quiet during night time (10pm-08am) You should tell them when they check-in. In the room you can hear every word from outside or your neighbours room next to both sides. You even hear the people from upstairs when the walk. It was really annoying, especially when it was during the night time. I know it is not a hotel, but i payed 3 times the price for a room. I would have expected that on the half time of my stay, somebody did look after the shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper...

Good option for central Rotorua, but small rooms

The kitchen was very well furnished and toilets were clean. Great location and easy check in.

The room (x4 dorm) was too small; 4 people couldn’t really move inside at the same time. Car park info weren’t very clear and we weren’t sure where to leave the car.

I liked it actually. Would recommend others to stay!

The common lounge area is really nice. You have different sections and outdoor spaces too. The bed is really comfy! The staff is really nice and friendly!

Just the room was a bit too stuffy and tiny.

初めてドミトリー方式のホテルでのチェックイン・アウトがなれていなかったのですが…メールでのやり取りは良かったです。共有の場所にしては清潔だと思います。部屋も綺麗でした。

建設中の場所もあり清潔なのか？わからない共有の場所のゴミが溜まって清潔ではない。繁忙期なのにスタッフが少なく対応が忙しくチェックインが遅れた。前日のシーツなどなのか？廊下やホールなどに散乱しており見苦しいところがありました。

Dissappointing

Location Staff - particularly a lovely young English girl (didn’t catch her name) but she was so helpful and friendly to talk to

- It wasn’t exactly the cheapest stay so I was surprised at how dated the hostel was (old fashioned curtains hanging up | a tin shower that had a serious amount of limescale covering the shower head and sink faucet) - The hang out area was quite poor, again very dated furniture and carpet with no television. - While there are signs asking guests to be respectful and quiet after 10pm, I would beg staff to adjust this to 10pm - 8 or 9am. Unfortunately, our neighbours in room 28 decided that conversing very loudly at 7am every morning (when they knew full well how thin the hotel walls are) was a fair thing to do. It was incredibly annoying. - The WIFI did not work in any common area. I tried for 5 nights to video call my family back home and never once did it work, the call disconnected every few seconds. - No shampoo / shower gel basics were provided which I’ve never seen in any hotel across my year of travelling.

Acceptable

Fantastic location, easy system to get in and out with personal card, parking available on site (first come first serve), large kitchen. Price value was acceptable, staff as always friendly.

The room I stayed (4 bed dorm) at was very small and had no storage options. The blanket felt rough and not very comfortable, the bed in general rather "cheap". The closest toilet facility "worked" with a light sensor, so every time you are on the toilet or in the shower the light would turn off after a very short time period. Some facilities were broken, shower curtains missing. Getting from the main building to other rooms is without roof so if it rains you get wet.
