Aangenaam en proper hostel met luchthaventransfer

Het hostel was modern en proper. Onze slaapzaal (10 bedden) en de badkamers waren zeer ruim. Er waren altijd meerdere badkamers beschikbaar. De keuken was ook in orde. De bedden, dekens en lakens waren erg goed. Het was gemakkelijk om stil in bed te kruipen omdat de bedden zo stevig zijn. De receptie is 24/24 open. Ik heb ook gebruik gemaakt van de bus naar de luchthaven. Heel handig dat deze voor de deur stopt en deze bus is goedkoper dan de Flybus. Ik vond mijn verblijf heel aangenaam en zou hier zeker opnieuw komen.

Een stopcontact bij het bed zou handig geweest zijn.

Endroit très bien placé à Reykjavik en cas de bus pour l'aéroport ou pour une excursion !

- Chambre très propre et confortable - Proximité de terminaux de bus - Locker room pour laisser des bagages si comme nous vous partez faire une randonnée de plusieurs jours (ex : Laugavegur)

- Une seule prise électrique dans la chambre

Overall it was ok.

It was my first time at a hostel and I only spent one night since 3 of my friends were staying there and we were leaving on a cruise the next day. It was ok for me, because I usually stay at hotels.

Some people are inconsiderate and would let the room door go, which would cause it to slam and make noise.

Honest and simple Hostel for a good price, but bring towels- they are not included in the room.

The rooms were simple, but honest and comfortable for a few nights.

The shared bathroom was not clean and smelled bad.

Good for a budget option

- convenient for tours, as most will start here. You can also catch the bus to the airport straight from here. -6 bathrooms with shower each in the second floor, which helps makes it easier to find one not occupied -in general, the facilities were well kept and clean

-around 20 minutes walking from center town. Not much to do around the hostel and only one small convenience store around 15minutes walking. No restaurants around. -not the hostel fault, but some of the other guests might be from cultures that are not much respectful to others and might make noise until late. Again, not the hostel fault and kind of one of the cons of going to a hostel

Preis spektakulär günstig. Der Rest unterdurchschnittlich!

Der Preis für die Übernachtung ist für isländische Verhältnisse spektakulär günstig!

Ein schlechteres Hostel gibt es bestimmt irgendwo auf der Welt, aber übernachtet habe ich darin noch nicht! Alles in allem war nur der supergünstige Preis grandios. Für alles Andere braucht man schon ein dickes Fell, viel Akzeptanz und Nervenstärke. Man sollte auch alle Schutzimpfungen haben! 😉 Es beginnt bei den Betten. Metallgestell, OSB-Platte mit Matratze. Die Schränke sind verschließbar ... wenn Du ein Schloß mitgenommen hast! Geht weiter bei Sanitär. WC und Dusche in einem Raum. Wenn jemand das WC benutzt, ist auch duschen unmöglich und umgekehrt. Für 8 Mehrbett-Zimmer sind jeweils 3 WC's mit Dusche da. Viel zu wenig! Keine Abstellmöglichkeiten. Hacken für Handtücher sind nicht in jedem Bad vorhanden. Die Gemeinschaftsküche ist ein Ort der Unordnung und Unsauberkeit. Für etwa 60 Gäste gab es 2 Geschirrtücher alle 4 Tage. Ihr könnt Euch vorstellen, wie diese ausgesehen haben. Die Küche "nur" den Hostel-Gästen zu überlassen ist ... katastrophal! Der Abwaschlappen, die Schwämme und Bürsten, alles hat schon streng gerochen. Die Kühlschränke waren vollgestopft bis oben hin! Reinigungskraft war EINE vorhanden. Ausser Boden wischen und etwas Grundordnung, hatte er keine Zeit. Alles in Allem: Für ein/zwei Nächte als Durchreisender ... ok. Für eine Woche Aufenthalt ... nein, nie wieder!

O quarto é bem organizado, os funcionários são atenciosos. A cozinha tem 2 fogões, 1 microondas e 2 geladeiras, panelas e frigideiras.

Agradable

Bien comunicado, personal muy amable. Baños limpios y cocina completa.

Solo había 1 enchufe en la habitación privada y el espacio era muy justo, preferimos dejar una maleta en el coche porque no nos podíamos mover. La habitación era más pequeña que la que se ve en las fotos y solo había espacio a uno de los lados de la cama, el otro lado estaba pegado a la pared.

En ocasiones había overbooking en la cocina, ya que había tres mesas.

Very good price especially for iceland.

The staff were nice, the hostel is clean.

The kitchen was sometimes dirty again because so many were sharing it at the same time.

Auberge de jeunesse sympa pour une nuit et propre

Un hôtel auberge de jeunesse agréable et propre. Les douches et WC étaient propres et la cuisine spacieuse et bien équipée pour se préparer ses repas. On peut louer des serviettes pour 3 euros ce qui est pratique et les chambres pour 2 sont fonctionnelles.

Le personnel n'est pas toujours agréable, mais ça dépend des personnes.

Disappointing

The price is cheap, and it's convenient for airport transfers - though only if you use the bus company that has an affiliation with the hostel.

The bunks are crammed into the rooms to maximise number of guests, at expense of comfort. My bunk was right by the door to the room and the lack of curtain made it loud and bright whenever someone came in or out, not to mention that many people had trouble closing the door properly. Bedding provided is just a very thin blanket. The floors of the toilets, with or without showers, were constantly covered in water, and the hand dryers are ancient and weak. The location seems okay on a map, but is actually somewhat isolated if travelling around on foot due to the main road and big junction. It feels like all the money goes into making the reception look nice, yet the desk has large tables in front of it which makes it hard to know where to approach staff. Staff themselves were not awful but some of them were quite rude to me and some other guests. Maintenance people seemed to be doing their work with little consideration for the guests around them, as if we were some incidental burden rather than the reason the hostel is there

Very good

24/7 reception is a very good bonus, you don´t have to worry about anything, even if the flights are usually at night. Connection by bus from/to the airport is also perfect. Quiet place for work available, very good Wi-fi connection.

Missing shelfs by the bunks, especially those upper ones. So you have no chance to put a phone/bottle of water/glasses/access card anywhere. Microwave in the kitchen would be very helpful, it is missing now.

Wish I would of stayed somewhere else

To far from the city. Dirty bathrooms. No counter in bathroom, had to place my clothes and belongings on the floor as there was only a sink with no room to place items. The stove tops were not working or would stop working. Took a long time to find one that was working. The room was hot with only a small window, sharing the room with uncleaned individuals it smelled too musky. The staff were not friendly and inexperienced in customer service.

Superb

Everything about was really good, ladies at front desk are wonderful, it's super clean and comfy. I would like to recommend it to everyone who's going to Reykjavik.

I didn't like some people in my room, too loud or snoring all the time, but that's not Bus hostel fault.
